That was really fantastic to see Melinda show up. I like that she is fixing some mistakes they made. I also liked that she had all the sisters reading the spell in the book and not just Phoebe. Granted Grams dying words was to go to the attic. But it was a nice change. One of my biggest aims was to fix the mistakes. Melinda being hung for sure. I also really felt that it made sense to have all three read the spell, after all, I had Grams dying words hinting the attic, and well. I want my series to be as much sisterly-centric as possible, so allowing the sisters to do things together more, made sense. That you can, and that is the most fun of an AU story. I'll be very curious about what she decides to do with the whitelighter and Leo stuff. Of course, it depends. I'm not sure what kind of fan she is and what she likes. But so far, a great start. Well, since I'm only a fan of how they were written in Charmed S1. I can give you a little hint, I'm in no way (if I decide) going to show any Elders in the flesh. At the Cafe, we are re-watching S1 as a group, and we have found the Elders were originally known as the Founders. I very much liked how they did whitelighters and the founders in S1 the best. A great end to the last chapter and I really think to see the full story or the first one spread out across two episodes. She has a great start, and I think the way she ended it was better than the original. I'll hope she works on more. But I'm sure she is busy planning out the rest. Can't wait for more. I wonder if she'll bring in characters like Rex, Matthew or Cole. But if she made changes with using Roger instead of Jeremy, I wonder if she'll surprise us again. Thanks. I'm in a writer's block for episode 1x03, I'm hoping to do more on that within the next few weeks. As for introducing the characters mentioned above, we'll you'll all have to wait and see. I don't want to spoil too much. There's talk of merging That 70's Episode with All Halliwell's Eve. This is correct, talk of merging those two episodes. Through re-watching the series at the Cafe, we discovered many ideas of how several episodes might go. There's talk of merging That 70's Episode with All Halliwell's Eve. That sounds so cool. She did so well with her pilot, I have faith she'll do well here. I wonder if, in this combination, she'll ditch Cole, and or find a way to include Andy. Assuming she doesn't kill him off so quickly. Hehe! I have many ideas for this one. I won't spoil, but just know that any suggestions, I'll take into consideration.

Hello everyone. I'm going through a writers block at the moment working on episode 1x03 in my series which is a combination of the original second episode with several changes (I'm wanting to change lots of that one) and I'd like to take a break and the fact that we're very close to reaching our goal of 100 episodes for our virtual reboot, Elemental Charmed, so I don't have to write any episodes for it since the others are all busy having fun writing them. So now that things are quieter, I've decided to join GTTS. Welcome, Summer Reading!!! I'm so glad you decided to join. We've been talking so much about your story here. I've loved your first two episodes. I hope you get out of your writer's block, I'd like to read 1x03. I'm glad that things are quieter for you, that you have time to post here. If you get busy again, we'll understand. You can come on here, whenever you can.

Hi Summer, glad you finally decided to join us. If you would like to tell us a little bit about yourself, we have a Getting To Know You Thread.
When you get the time, bring Charmed: Re-Imagined here. If you like, I can ever provide you with your own forum for your stories in the Fan Fiction section. Get in touch with me if you would like that.
Yeah, that always bugged me. I'm glad you corrected that error.
I've long suspected that change happened because of these other Founders.
Oh, we sure will.
If you plan to bring in Rex and Hannah, I am at your disposal.

Summer, I have some suggestions for your take on All Halliwell's Eve:
1. The 1670 birth year for Melinda Warren bothered me, in that would have made her only 22 when she was executed in 1692. She looked older than that (in fact, Tyler Layton, who played Melinda in The Witch Is Back, was 30 at the time). You might want to move the date back a few years.
2. The Virginia setting was also strange, in that Melinda was in Salem in The Witch Is Back. They toss in a line at the end, in which they talk about Melinda moving to Salem. Clearly the writers assumed that moving in the 17th Century was no different than it is in the 21st. In Colonial Times, most people tended to stay just where they were. Back then there were no Interstates or airplanes, after all, so moving hundreds of miles really wasn't feasible for many. Perhaps you can avoid this by just having All Halliwell's Eve happen in Salem.
Of course, it's your story, and I'll enjoy it no matter what

Melinda seemed much older and her daughter Prudence seemed like she was fairly older unless she had her as a teenager when she died. I also think the Virginia setting was a mistake. You could do a combination of The Witch is Back and the novel Whispers From The Past. That could be fun. Yeah these are just suggestions. I'll still read it regardless.

Yeah, we never saw Prudence on screen, nor was her age ever mentioned.
Summer has a lot to work with her.

All of this sounds perfect. I really like the idea of a combination with that novel (read the outline of the book to refresh my memory) and 'The Witch is Back' if you had Prue and Piper in the present slowly turning evil, with Phoebe stuck in the past with Prudence.
But poor Melinda, she'd be in the present with Prue and Piper slowly gaining warlock powers. But scary to think Matthew could be around here, too. He'd turn them against Melinda. But, I'll wonder about Summer's story and the member who betrayed her, would she be the one going into the past to change things.
But Prudence was never seen or her age, that's right, so Summer can do whatever she wants with her.
I'm sure Summer has lots to work with here.

That I have. I have so many ideas forming in my head and I am thinking about a combination using 'Witch is Back' and 'Whispers From the Past', so I'll do what works best for the story.

Perhaps you can show us a bit more of Melinda's life in Salem. We know so little of that. Who was Prudence's father? What happened to him?
They left out so much!

That they did. So you have plenty to work with. I'm more fascinated with the past than the future on Charmed. This would be interesting to see explored. It's funny. Apart from premonitions, we never saw Melinda using her powers in her only episods. Especially since she had all three. I'd have loved to have seen her using all three at once.

Summer is basically doing the same thing that you are, Jana. An AU that fixed the mistakes of the show.
Heck, even Fan Fictions that take place in the canon Charmedverse can fix things that needed fixing. I did some with my Rex and Hannah Chronicles, like saving Kira the Seer (Revelations) and giving the character of Christy Jenkins a proper send off (The Troubled Spirit).

Yep, you can fix mistakes for sure. That is why fanfics are so great for fans.

That they did. We really don't know much about Melinda. But in some way, it is more fun for me to be able to write without having to fix or change what they did. I have more freedom with Melinda and her family.
I really do wish they explored it more. That might have to do with the actress playing Melinda quitting acting after 'Witch is Back'. But they could have easily done something with Prudence.
I'll just say, I have thought strongly on this, and I'm really excited to be able to explore much more of Melinda and her backstory and Prudence and Prudence's father.
