With Eurovision one month away there will be plenty of ABBA documentaries I'm sure plus the two ABBA musical films will probably be shown on TV also.

Mum and I have both seen that when it was on TV before.
My winner this year currently which is The Code by Nemo from Switzerland is first in the odds to win the contest after their live performance at the Madrid Pre-Party and on Swiss television which is good but that can change I know. If it didn't I wouldn't be mad as Switzerland deserve a win after improving since 2019 and having not won in 36 years since Celine in 1988 of course.
There has been some controversy with Nemo though because they're non-binary and wear women's clothes some people dislike that but like his vocals and the song whilst others think there is no in-between people are either male or female which is ridiculous in this modern day and age I think.
I don't care personally because it's the above two that interest me first and foremost which it should do most folk but I do respect if The Code isn't everyone's cup of tea though.

I did also with Mum as we do each year and my winner Switzerland got first which I'm so happy about because I love "The Code" although "Rim Tim Tagi Dim" from Croatia and "Doomsday Blue" from Ireland were worthy winners otherwise of course.
Ireland placing 6th is a smashing result for them and their best in ages so well done to them.
The UK got 0 from the public which isn't surprising but some countries which I thought would do better didn't like Norway who I think deserved more from the juries and viewers then.
Of course, all the points went on the favourites so it's not shocking other countries received little votes beforehand.

Germany finished at 8th, I think from what I read. Nice that they used the ABBAtars from London to sing "Waterloo" but our commentator mixed up with the anniversary but corrected himself quickly. Kind of nice with all that Swedish music.

Yes, it was nice hearing all the Swedish music back from throughout the years which I liked and remembered most of myself.
I admired Loreen's song also. Such an emotive performer.
Germany should be pleased they weren't last and not got 0 public points the same as the UK of course.
Will be interesting learning more about Switzerland next year which looks like a wonderful country to visit although some people already don't look forward to that because it's expensive to go there and stuff despite the fact, they could stay in either France, Germany, Austria or Italy and hope on a plane or train to Switzerland which could be cheaper itself.
And hate for Nemo's already circulated with some thinking they only won because their non-binary whilst others disliked how so many juries gave them 12 points because Croatia like Finland last year was the fan favourite instead of accepting that the best song won on the night overall.

Oops, Germany ended up on the 12th. I was wrong there. Watched some of the performances and of course, the middle thing. Was kinda cool.

Yeah Germany did better than they were predicted to do.
Isaak was sure to have come in last with Latvia but didn't of course.

Absolutely though there will always be people complaining their song didn't win as they did last year with Finland and this year Croatia.
Again some people think juries should be scrapped in favour of just televotes but as I've commented before juries balance things out so not all joke songs prosper so well in the grand final.
A few have said if juries must remain then their influence in terms of voting should be reduced so the winners ultimately determined by the public who buy the t'shirts, stream or download the music, buy semi final and grand final tickets etc.
Either 60/40 or 70/30 public would suffice with them.
A way of doing that some have said is have the number of 12 points a country receives be limited so they're only given 10 twelve points instead of 20 which Nemo got then their awarded less afterwards or not have 10 or 12 as the maximum ones given out but 8 otherwise then.
