I love how Wonder Woman is widely considered to be the only good thing about Batman vs Superman. Hopefully, this means good news for her upcoming movie.

Yeah, I have good feelings about this too.
The critics were good to Gal Gadot in BVS. Hopefully, they'll be even better to her when the WW movie comes out.

I think this movie is going to be fantastic, each trailer has knocked it out the park for me so far. Little Diana's face when Hippolyta tells her she can't wield the sword is so perfect.

Yeah, it starts now here in Europe too. I might think about watching it though I knew Lynda Carter and her series.

WW does sound like a good DC movie. Perhaps, as I suggested, DC is finally on the right track movie wise.
Gal Gadot was good as WW in Dawn Of Justice.

Has anyone seen the film yet?

Not yet. Online reviewer Sean Moore likes it. Considering his general dislike of the DC movies in the past, this says something.

I absolutely loved it, it was wonderful (lol), the story was inspirational, heartbreaking, emotional but not too dark. Gal Gadot has really impressed me, she is a much more versatile actress than I gave her credit for.

I watched Wonder Woman today and I really enjoyed it. DC FINALLY gets a movie right.
It was interesting that WW's backstory was in the First World War, usually she was associated with the Second. Of course, WW started in 1941, so that was to be expected. However, I get the impression that the filmmakers forgot which World War they were writing about, as a few of the German characters came across as proto-Nazis (Dr. Poison, for example).
Of course, WW had to deal with how women were treated in the world of 1918 (they didn't even have the right to vote yet). The movie handled it pretty well.
Interesting that the main German villain, General Ludendorff, is killed by WW. In reality, Ludendorff survived the war and later backed Adolf Hitler.
Gal Gabot was excellent as WW, and I enjoyed Chris Pine as Steve Trevor. Steve died in this movie, but Pine has apparently signed on to appear in future DC movies, so I wonder how they'll address that.
The depiction of war torn Europe was spot on. You really could believe you were seeing the Europe of a century ago.
Finally, DC, finally, you did a movie right.

I think part of what makes this movie magical is that for me, it doesn't feel like a proepr superhero movie. It feels more like a war/action/acdventure movie with fantasy elements. Not only that but the all the characters aside from Wonder Woman herself played fantastic roles, the companions she travels with through Europe feel like real people, and their reactions to the war around them wrre realistic and it was interesting to see Diana's reaction to that given that she has spent her entire life on a tropical island. And as for the setting, it isn't confirmed or anything, but I heard a rumor that they changed it to world war 1 so as not to look like they were "copying" Marvel's Captain America movies, a superhero origin story set in the second world war, they primarily use a shield and must free prisoners from enemy camps? Reviews would have glaringly pointed that out and it could have harmed the film's overall reception. A smart move in my opinion. What is also interesting is to see how the eventual sequel holds up, there is no confirmation I don't think but its been heavily implied that Wonder Woman 2 will be set in present day, a whole hundred years or so after the first. What's the betting Steve Trevor had a secret child and she meets his great-great-great grand-son who somehow looks JUST like him?

The sequel will be called Wonder Woman 1984. So I'm guessing it will be set in that year, only thirty-five years ago, so it won't cost as much for a period setting.

I must admit I am excited for the sequel, as far as I know it has the same writers/director as the first so I have a feeling it will be just as good, and it'll interesting to see Diana in a more modern setting. With all the flare and fashion of the 80's.
