Since The CW loves spin-offs, Jane the Virgin and Riverdale are possibly getting some. LOL if Charmed got one, unlikely, but if it really did. I'm sure Classic fans would have a breakdown. Not even the original got one.

So the reboot has been picked up for another season.
In your face, naysayers

I think the reboot will be with us for a while. At least four seasons, since that is the standard with the CW, once a show gets passed S1, they always have them reach at least four seasons. They need the CBS shows to last.
The haters and Holly can bitch all they want. the Reboot is here to stay for a few more years.
I think now that they know they have a second season when season one hasn't even wrapped filming. They might slow things down. They don't need to rush the pacing and storylines. Because I'll admit right now, they have far too many plots going at once.

Me too. They really need to slow down and not throw so many storylines at us at once.

Congratulations, Charmed! You've gotten past the first big hurdle! Since The CW loves spin-offs, Jane the Virgin and Riverdale are possibly getting some. LOL if Charmed got one, unlikely, but if it really did. I'm sure Classic fans would have a breakdown. Not even the original got one. I know a certain person who would especially have a meltdown if that happened. They're till clinging to their Wyatt and Chris spinoff ideas from 2005. I think the reboot will be with us for a while. At least four seasons, since that is the standard with the CW, once a show gets passed S1, they always have them reach at least four seasons. They need the CBS shows to last. They might slow things down. They don't need to rush the pacing and storylines. Because I'll admit right now, they have far too many plots going at once. This is what I'm hoping, too. Now that Season 2 is confirmed, they need to slow down and start planning out storylines long-term.

You can't complain about it forever, before it just gets so annoying. I mean, why do people waste so much effort going on about it, find something better to do with your time or find a new television series to keep you busy, unless this is the only show they watch.

That is why renewing their shows this early, even before they finish filming Season 1, really gives the writers more time to plan. I just wonder if between the sisters of arcana, Harry's son and the Parker and family story, I'm not sure all three will be wrapped in S1. Maybe the mothers killer will be revealed this season, or maybe it extends into Season 2 now? I think the Parker and family arc should wrap. Let Harry's son plot be something for S2. I really feel this story is too early to be touched on. Congratulations, Charmed! You've gotten past the first big hurdle! I guess this show is what they live and breath, and really take it to heart so much. Then again I'm sure they grew up with it as a child, so I can understand that.

If this is the same person Tim and Betty mentioned. Wasn't this person in their 40s. If so, LOL, acting like a little child, from what I remember the stories about them. Can't let go. More embarrassing if they are much older than someone in their teens or 20s.

Yeah, they need to let go. Anyway, back to our talk. I do think Harry's son plot should be saved for S2, that Harry decides to not leave his role as a whitelighter, and agrees to find him eventually, maybe Harry does find him, but doesn't approach him, just watching from a distance, and decides that his role as a whitelighter is more important for now, and maybe he'll decide to approach him one day soon, but not now.

I like that idea, Harry can at least see his son is okay and fine, and then continue his role as whitelighter. Maybe one day, he'll meet him in person.

More embarrassing if they are much older than someone in their teens or 20s. This person I'm talking about is actually in her 30s, although she's only a few years away from turning 40. What's funny is that this person has found other fandoms. She bailed on TCS midway through 2012 (long before even Tim quit), and her Tumblr has very little Charmed and lots of Supernatural, Marvel, and Timothee Chalamet. The Charmed reboot shouldn't have any impact on her, as she's seemingly moved on. And, yet, news of the reboot sent her into a full-blown hissy fit, whining about the Charmed Sons spinoff she didn't get 12 years ago. I get that it sucked that her and the other TCS supporters poured so much into a campaign that ultimately went nowhere, but sometimes you have to cut your losses and move on. They tried their best, but the stars just never aligned for a TCS spinoff. I really hope so, it would be wonderful if this show finds itself, and can grow. That is why renewing their shows this early, even before they finish filming Season 1, really gives the writers more time to plan. I really feel this story is too early to be touched on. I fully agree. They need to drop the Parker stuff as soon as possible and get back to developing the storyline behind their mother, her death, and her past. Now that they've gotten a full Season 2 renewal, they can afford to slow down and start planning ahead.

I know. As Betty said, this person didn't even stick around the TCS board, before its demise.
When the TCS board closed for good, in 2014, Jana was the only one who bothered to show up, let alone post anything there.
Surely the shows writers must know that fandom has not embraced this guy.
The writers of the original series realized that Jenny was liked by the fans, and Social Media didn't even exist back then.

I haven't caught up yet but this is exciting, hopefully they can plan some cool development for the characters now they know they have a good chunk of episodes to play with. Also, the first thing I thought of when I saw the news was that I bet Holly is seething! I bet her face was just like this!

LOL! Yeah, I can see Holly reacting in just that way
In your face, Holly, the reboot is a success.

Yeah, heard that too. Congratulations to the new Charmed. Now it may come across the ocean as well.
