I thought I was the only one on this Earth that didn't watch Game Of Thrones. I keep hearing this show praised over and over again.
I lasted all of two episodes. Truth be told, I don't get it.
I'd like to hunt down everyone who is giving the CBS Swindlers the money to destroy Star Trek and make them PAY!!!

You and me both. I am SOOOOOOO tired of seeing gossip and "news" about this show polluting every other website. It's little more than a cheap LOTR rehash with extra dragons, incest, and porn. Big whoop. I think that show's more a case of something having a very loud/annoying fanbase online than genuinely being a megahit. Unlike Star Wars and Marvel movies, I have yet to meet a single person in RL who watches it.

I'm also not a fan of GOT. I have other shows to watch over, like Supernatural. And naturally older ones.

Tell me about it. You can't so much as turn around without GOT being shoved in your face. Why have so many gone ga-ga over it, I have no idea.
This is the final season, and I hope that, once this thing is done, it will fade from the public mind like Twilight did after the last movie came out.
Glad I'm not alone here. On some site, one could get tarred and feathered for hating GOT.

Buzzfeed is the worst offender. Their Rewind section (Which was originally meant to be for NOSTALGIC content, not TV shows that are currently airing!) is just one garbage GOT article after another. Even worse, they have the nerve to mock people who have the nerve to not enjoy their favorite pseudo-medieval pornfest: www.buzzfeed.com/sydrobinson1/tweets-youll-love-if-you-dont-watch-game-of-throneswww.buzzfeed.com/daves4/hating-game-of-thrones

Clearly whomever runs that site is a GOT fanboy. This person has clearly lost the plot in regards to what that site is supposed to be about.
Remind me never to join that site.

Yeah, count me out. This show is treated like must-see television, and everyone assumes the whole world watches it.
Truth be told, why is it. I hear the ratings increase for it every year, who are getting sucked into watching.
I'd rather watch Lord of the Rings, Xena or Hercules any day. I know GOT fans will find all those shows corny and childish, and so boring. But I don't care, its better entertainment for me.

Yeah, don't get it, and if you say you don't like it, you are blasted. The good thing with social media, people can block all traces of Game of Thrones from appearing on their social media accounts, so people who don't watch it, can have it all ignored. It sucks we'll be stuck with this universe for many years to come. I read online they are developing not one, not two, but three spin-offs. *sigh* HBO's apparently working on three 'Game of Thrones' spinoffs:edition.cnn.com/2019/05/05/entertainment/game-of-thrones-spinoff-shows-martin-trnd/index.html

Of course, they are doing spinoffs, but why are they making three. I'm guessing only one will get off the ground, but I wonder if people will grow bored of it, and the spin-offs won't be as good as the original, so the craze will die out.

Oh God, no! Make it go away!
This is worse that Twilight. At least after the last movie came out, it was over.
GOT is like a vampire, you want the stake to kill it for good.
*knocking on wood in the hope that happens*

I've not watched GOT's yet and so don't know this series. My friend downloaded some seasons for his friend but recently lost them when his external hard drive collapsed and so may have to start again from the first year's beginning.
Whether I watch it myself I'm not sure even though I do like fantasy style things. Maybe I might do future wise who knows then.

Well, Katherine, if you go online, there is no getting away from this thing.
Everywhere you go, it's shoved in your face. And so many have gone ga-ga over this show, for reasons that baffle me to no end.

Buzzfeed continues to mock GOT non-fans: www.buzzfeed.com/mjs538/episode-4-was-boringMe to Buzzfeed: Love some of the comments, though: Wow, some of these selections are almost 10 years old...Makes you wonder where BF gets its sources from?!?! Yet these headlines are still more intriguing than anything propped on this sight as of late...Well Matt, I have a suggestion, why don't you watch Veep on HBO and make a weekly article about it? It's an amazing comedy, it comes after GoT, and more importantly, one of the main character plays an incompetent BuzzFeed journalist just like you! It’s hilarious to see the internet have a meltdown because a show about dragons and a chair isn’t ending the way they personally want it to. Fandom is irreparably broken, everyone is a child

This is so very stupid and ridiculous. I mean come, we're not robots programmed to like what everything does. Who cares, what people watch or don't watch.
I love all the old-style fantasy dramas and movies like Lord of the Rings, and Xena.
I did hear that in GOT, they have a woman being raped and the violence is pretty extreme to the point when a head is chopped off, you see every detail.
No offense, but I'm not a fan of things that extreme with violence and nudity, I'd rather not see things that detailed when it comes to violence, It would make me sick to see it. I know, some might like that sort of stuff.

I know, some might like that sort of stuff. And, that's unquestionably a big reason why this show gets far more attention than it ever deserved. It airs on HBO, which means it can be "edgy" and show all of the boobies, rape, and gore in the world. GOT wouldn't have even been possible on basic cable, let alone a broadcast network. As I've said, I really hate this show for ruining Buzzfeed. I used to love wasting time in the Rewind section and getting a light 90s nostalgia fix with their listicles and quizzes. But, now, their "Rewind" section is 90% GOT and other current shit, and the nostalgia stuff is almost nonexistent. (And, what little is there is "nostalgia" for 2005-2009, which doesn't do anything but make me feel prematurely old.) If Buzzfeed thinks they've completely tapped the well of 90s nostalgia, fine, but they should at least be upfront about it. Retire the Rewind section and replace it with a "Currently Airing" one if all they wanna talk about is GOT.
