Looking back, I hated Galvin, but the idea of Harry/Macy I just can't.

Maybe the problem was the writing for Galvin, and the actors lacking any sort of chemistry, to make it believable Galvin was Macy's first love that she lost her virginity with. The Galvin/Macy relationship always came across as close friends, and not romantic, I've seen even the actress playing Macy admitted this in an interview.

Mantock also has some very interesting thoughts about the state of Macy and Galvin’s relationship. (Specifically why she might not be as into him as many of the fans assume her to be.)

Truth be told, I would have so been into Macy being a virgin longer, and even exploring Asexuality. But on The CW, that is never going to happen, everyone has sex. I think even Jughead Jones was in some of the Archie Comics, but they never touched on such a subject.

I got that feeling too.  Close friends, but that's as far as it should have gone, IMO.
