This is strange, yes not having pilot shows come out before execs give the go-ahead ordering a series.
Am glad Superman and Lois got picked which I'll watch and might give Walker's first episode a go and see how it is before deciding whether I'll continue with it.
Maybe Jensen will guess star one episode as a somebody Walker met undercover perhaps who needs help with something being how both gentlemen work with one another again.

This is great it got picked up. But so strange, it and Superman & Lois got orders ahead of upfronts. CW ordering shows so earlier.
I'm guessing they are doing this as a to be on the safe side and be prepared, just in case the writers strike happens. So they have a backup IF it happens.

I would love to see Jensen appear on the show.
Nice wink to the audience of SPN.

I guess they just want to give them more time to prep. I'm guessing once SPN ends for good, Jared will go right to film this series.

Looks like it.
One would think that he would have taken some time off, after fifteen seasons though.

That's right. I'll assume, it came down to it filming closer to home in Texas, made it easier on him, than how it was flying back and forth for 15 years like on SPN. I'll bet, had this project not came up, Jared would have taken some time off.
I think Jensen will take a break.

I agree.
Now it will be just a matter of Jared getting into his car and driving to work.

It must be so good to do that. I can't imagine how it must have been for 15 years travelling as they have done. I give them credit, most actors bitch and complain or if they do a show in Vancouver eventually miss home and leave said show. These actors have done it for 15 years.

You wanna work on a CW show, you go to Vancouver.
Still, it's good that the CW is willing to accommodate Jared here.

So again the CW casts a gay character on one their new shows which they don't necessarily have to do all the time.
Of course, Mitch Pileggi played Samuel Campbell on Supernatural being someone Jared knows well whom he'll be comfortable working around I'm sure.

This sounds like it's gonna be good. I plan to give it a watch when it comes on.

I'm all for representation, but that it is just more than them being gay to draw headlines. I hate how they have to market it all around that.
They already know each other, so it will be great to see them together again. Great casting. But Mitch, I remember more for X-Files than Supernatural. Since his part on SPN, was only in one season.

I'm looking forward to it. Looks like they have some good casting. I'm curious if Jared will cut his hair short for the role, having had his hair long for a long time, he might want to have it different for this role, to really make him appear different than Sam when people watch him in this role. Of course he'd have a beard in this role, as was teased to be similar to the old Walker had on the original show.
