Well, today is the final day of the 2010s. My, how time has flown. Since we're about to enter a new decade, what are some things from this that you want to see die off in the upcoming one? They don't have to be realistic predictions. Just things you're tired of and want gone in the 2020s. Let me start: 1. The Kar-Jenners. Can we finally get some real Armenian celebrities and ditch these wastes of space once and for all? I was already sick of them 10 years ago. 2. The Instagram influencer beauty trend. Probably the worst thing to come from the aforementioned reality stars. Disturbing to see 14 year old girls trying to make themselves look like lifeless Barbie dolls and plastering themselves all over social media just because that's what Kylie Jenner does. What happened to being comfortable in your own skin? Especially, if you're still going through puberty?!?3. Overblown superhero franchises dominating the Box Office. C'mon, the MCU has to run out of steam at some point, right?4. The Mickey Mouse Machine dominating the Box Office. Related to #3. Can the 2020s be the decade where The Mouse finally gets cut down to size and stops flooding pop culture with their endless corporate franchises? 5. Everything being a sequel, remake, or reboot. Let's bring back new ideas and stop trying to ruin things from the past. 6. The Streaming Bubble. Whether we're talking about Netflix (and its competitors) or Spotify (and its competitors), streaming has done nothing but hollow out and corporatize TV/movies/music. Time to pop this damn bubble. 7. Orange Hitler. Lock him up. Bernie Sanders for 2020. That's all.

Betty, you pretty much nailed all my complaints.
I'll have to think of a few more.

You nailed everything, perfectly said.
Ignoring Climate Change would be a big one from the governments of the world.
Bernie Sanders said it best, and love how he took Climate Change seriously and offered his support to the Australia fires and floods in Indonesia. Not like Orange Hitler who is more concerned with starting wars. Hopefully, he wins in 2020.

All said and done. Climate change will be the main issue of this decade.

Sadly, that's not going to happen.
Streaming is going to kill television within the next few decades.

Not like Orange Hitler who is more concerned with starting wars. Hopefully, he wins in 2020. Abso-friggin-lutely. We need to stop fretting over shit like straws and grocery bags (aka. putting the onus on average people to save the planet by buying "green" products) and actually start holding governments and corporations responsible for wrecking the planet's environment. Why is so much of our electricity still coming from fossil fuels? Why do we keep dumping trash in the ocean? Why is planned obsolescence still a thing? Why is so much of the US still dependent on fossil fuel-powered cars? This is why people like AOC and Greta Thunberg have scared so many of the bigwigs. They've actually recognized that capitalism is the problem and not the solution, and they aren't afraid to call out the people on top and hold them accountable. Sadly, that's not going to happen. Streaming is going to kill television within the next few decades. Ideally, the corporatization of streaming gets demolished and online video goes back to the people. Streaming by itself isn't a bad thing. It's corporate subscription services like Netflix, Hulu, and Disney+ that are. The corporatization of the internet, in general, is something that I want to see die. Bring back net neutrality and kick the vultures out. Make broadband internet a government-provided utility.

Of course, Orange Hitler's companies are no doubt part of the problem that Greta is talking about. No doubt that is why he insults her, because he knows she's right, and can't face that.
Ah, I see what you mean now.

Of course, Orange Hitler's companies are no doubt part of the problem that Greta is talking about. No doubt that is why he insults her, because he knows she's right, and can't face that. And, that is why self-serving businessmen have no business being elected to the highest office in the land. Especially those who are dumber and less competent than the teenagers they're attacking on Twitter. ... To follow up from the streaming topic, do you know what needs to be Made Great Again TM? YouTube. It has been all downhill ever since Google bought it in the late 00s, and the decline has especially worsened over the last 5 years. Talented, legitimate creators see their videos get demonetized over (usually) petty bullshit, while hacks like Logan and Jake Paul get all the promotion and money in the world thrown at them, regardless of what they do. Copyright claims get thrown around like candy and have made people afraid of posting videos with a radio playing in the background, all the while neo-Nazis continue to proliferate unchecked on the site. The algorithm aggressively shoves mainstream news channels, big-name creators, premium YouTube Red crap, and whatever is considered "viral" at the moment at the expense of everyone else and makes the site a chore to use. I dream to one day see YouTube freed from Google, de-corporatized, and returned to the people. Bring back the YouTube of 2006.

Now that would be nice to see.
Did you know that Yahoo! tried to buy Dailymotion some years back. However, the French government told Yahoo! to get lost. Too bad no one did that to Google.

When I've posted videos on YouTube they've had copyrighted claims slapped on them for whatever clips or music I've used with them also being blocked in certain countries sometimes which can be a pain of course in that I don't make videos for profit but for entertainment reasons, because I enjoy doing them so yes I wouldn't mind that being relaxed a bit.

Which is why I've never bothered setting up an account with YouTube.
Don't need the Copyright Nazis on my butt for five seconds of music.

From what I've noticed with other YouTube users is they do get more people viewing their videos than other video platforms like Dailymotion do they tend to just stick with that then.

Did you know that Yahoo! tried to buy Dailymotion some years back. However, the French government told Yahoo! to get lost. Too bad no one did that to Google. Dailymotion dodged a MAJOR bullet there. Yahoo! has a long-ass history of poisoning everything it touches, as GeoCities, Flickr, and Tumblr can all attest to. It's amazing those vultures are even still around. (Even their own site has become a haven for malware and scams.)

Heck, Yahoo! killed GeoCities.
God only knows what would have happened to Dailymotion had Yahoo! gotten its paws onto it.

I'm so glad, Dailymotion is a great place to find episodes of shows, and is never Geo-blocked. Unlike Youtube, so many videos I can't view due to that annoying Geo-blocking.
