And then the angels came and took her. Huh??
Chris Carter really dropped the ball on that one.

I agree. The conspiracy ended with Two Fathers and One Son. Where Smoking Man escaped being killed by the rebel aliens eho killed his entire team. They should have had Mulders sister REALLY return in season 7. I hated how she was dead all along. Which made no sense. Me too. I agree, Carter really did ruin it. I think they should have just ended the conspiracy and focused on something new after S6, like couldn't S7 have been all about Samantha's real return, and on cloning, and tie it back to the Adams and Eve's experiment from S1, and then focus on the MOTW stories, and I feel like John's son's death could be the new arc and mystery in S8 & S9, that was enough.

They really lost the plot in the final seasons. By then, I'd stopped watching.

Funny that on re-watches, binging and such, It holds up okay, still not as great as the earlier ones, but I still found enjoyment with some episodes.
It feels different when you are watching it the first time, when you binge, you can skip past the bad episodes, and not have that gap between episodes like you do week to week getting bored.

That's true, or you focus on just the good parts. Least Scully and Mulder didn't change to the point you couldn't stand them, not something I can say about other shows I like, here, I can hate some plots, but still love the chemistry with characters. You are right, you can skip the ones you hate, when you re-watch.

Yeah, one of the pluses of binge watching. Skip the duds.

I liked many of the revival episodes, they did some great monster of the week episodes, and most of those are now my favourites.

The monster ones were the better ones, IMO.

I own the complete series on Blu-Ray, so I'm so glad, I have all the episodes like this, and don't need to rely on streaming. I do that for the shows I love, wanting my own copy.

Watch the Monster Of The Week ones. They're the best, IMO.

I loved the episode in S2 with the substitute teacher, who was a witch or something. So creepy, such a great episode.

I loved the episode in S2 with the substitute teacher, who was a witch or something. So creepy, such a great episode. I loved that one so much, I freaked out when they attacked Mulder and Scully and dragged them into the showers, ready to kill them, and then the teacher said it was too late, and the lights came on, and then they ran into the room and found the witch had escaped.

I remember that one too. A lot of the monsters managed to get away (no doubt so that they could possibly be brought back later).

That was a really good episode. I love it. The part with the snake was so creepy.
