THE POWER OF THREE IS BACK!!! YAY. But seriously it took 15 episodes, that's just way too long.
So Celeste another Elder who turned away years ago is alive, and helped the sisters. The show insisted that Harry was the last whitelighter and all the Elders are dead, but this season they went back on that it seems if it suits the story.
Now, these writers can focus on storylines that highlight the strength of the sisters, and please let this mean we'll have more sisterly scenes, because, I just feel that is the weakest parts of the second season, I just am not feeling the chemistry and it still will never compete with the magic that was Prue, Piper and Phoebe, but I still enjoy what I see. This one was the best in so long for the sisterly scenes.
It was also refreshing to be presented with a storyline that did not rely on a romantic relationship or a love triangle. FINALLY!
Of course the only downside was Abigail was thrown into the dream visions married to Harry, but I'll take it, because she wasn't in the main plot.
When the Elder Celeste putting the sisters into a magically induced slumber to help them realise their worst fears this felt straight out of Classic Charmed since in the episode "The Jung and the Restless", they had Billie use a magical crystal to put the sisters to sleep and watch their dreams to see their true desires.
Probably the best episode in ages.

Yep, the Power Of Three is back, as we saw when the sisters dispatched that monster.
And we got all the sisters together for most of the episode. YAY!
We got a bit of backstory about the Elders. Apparently, they were set up after the Salem Witch Trials. This might explain why they did what they did (although it doesn't excuse them). They were acting out of fear.
And Celeste shows that not all the Elders were corrupt. She's willing to own up for her actions.
I agree, this was the best episode in a while.

Ah so many show episodes to watch beside Charmed including Batwoman, Supergirl and Supernatural etc.
At least with no new episodes coming out, unfortunately, I'll be able to catch on the one's aired this week and last of course.

Yeah, at least with no new episodes airing anytime soon, you can catch up, so no rush being behind.
I am curious how many episodes we have left with the reboot, might not be too many. But because they took a month off, unlike other CW shows airing, they might have a few more. I predict we've only got another week or two left.
This was probably the best episode yet, I'm so glad we had a very sisterly episode, and for the first time in maybe forever, an actual sisterly ending with just the sisters together, something you always find in the earlier Classic Charmed seasons, (and ones I loved in our re-watch).

Nice to see all the sisters together for most of the episode. They really need to keep this trend up, IMO.

I'm going to watch it next week. Seeing as we have no new episodes, may as well watch it then, so it feels like I'm watching a new one.

This episode of Charmed is the last of my shows to watch because I managed to catch Supergirl, Batwoman, and Supernatural yesterday evening.

Loved the end, with the sisters all together at the house. It ended just with them, which I liked.

Me too. I really loved that scene, felt like something right out of Classic Charmed, when it ended with the sisters together, and in their house. Like that was the best ending to an episode for the entire season by far.

I agree. Let's hope they keep this up.

This episode felt like classic Charmed's 'Jung And The Restless' from season 8 which I enjoyed except the fact they brought an Elder in despite them all being dead last season then.
I didn't like Abigael being married to Harry with kids which felt like a stab in the back despite Macy's fear obviously.
What Celeste did wasn't good but I guess she had good intentions and owned up to her mistake at least.
The power of three was back finally after 15 episodes which must continue if the show wants to keep viewers coming back.
I'm glad the focus was on the sisters and not their relationships which worked well I think.
These Charmed Ones will never be like Prue, Piper, or Phoebe but their team up at the end was a start to some degree.

Aside from Marisol, Celeste seems like the only other decent Elder.
Of course, they started out with noble ideas, to protect witches after Salem. However, as time went on, corruption set in, resulting in the lot we saw in Season One.

That's true, she does seem like it. I can see why she left the Elders, no doubt, she didn't agree with their methods, and couldn't handle it any more.
I like the backstory, especially since it started after Salem. Again this show needs more backstory from the past, give us the classic time travel episodes to the past. Those are the most popular episodes from Classic Charmed.

Yeah, the backstory about how the Elders started was good. We didn't get that with the original show, they were just there.

I wonder if Melinda Warren's back story here would be different in terms of how she came to be and whether she's related to these Charmed One's or just a powerful witch who had an entry in the Book of Shadows.
