As most people here know I've been a fan of Gerry Anderson's Supermarionation puppetry since the '90s when they re-ran classic series Thunderbirds, Captain Scarlet, Joe 90,Stingray, and Terrahawks early mornings on TV which I now own DVD box sets to then.
After the studio, that made these series's in Slough was demolished most of the puppets and set-pieces we're destroyed but a few survived and a couple of years ago a company called Century 21 Films produced three new episodes of Thunderbirds with the remaining equipment and even made a few new puppets using the same technics back in the '60s.
When lockdown happened these people started a web series in a house in north London again using set pieces and puppets from the new Thunderbirds episodes creating Nebula 75 a space exploration show like Star Trek about the crew of that ship who get thrust 33 million light-years away from Earth after an accident and try to get home like the crew of Voyager.
The ship consists of the captain Ray Neptune, Doctor Astroid, a robot called Circuit, a space maiden called Athena who talks via telepathy, Lieutenant Mercury, and a couple of more crew members of course.
There are lots of jokes about lockdown throughtout the show.
And merchandise has been produced consisting of badges which you can purchase and Solar Smacks which you can't.
Each episode's about something that happens with the Nebula crew and how they overcome that.
The first episode was 14 minutes with subsequent ones been longer then.
You also get to see how they make them in the house as well.
This web shows very good reminding me of the old puppet series's and has been very popular with American and English viewers alike.
For anyone wanting to watch this they can do so below in order of episodes. There are 5 in total at the moment.
