As an extra special, an article from the past. Again but for a different show, yet regarding the Conrads. Hope you don't mind, do you? Robert Conrad Digs 4 Seasons
HOLLYWOOD (UPI) - Robert Conrad, the battle-scarred veteran of several TV series, is starring in yet another one, "The Duke," which is filmed in Chicago. By happenstance, the Windy City is also where the actor now makes his home. A native of Chicago, Conrad left his job as a milkman to come to Hollywood seeking stardom in movies and television.
He succeeded in TV after only middling success in films. He returned to his hometown in 1977 and became a permanent resident last October. Coincidentally, NBC decided to film "The Duke" there to take advantage of locations that hadn't been a part of a regular weekly series in 25 years. In the new show Conrad - who starred in "The Wild, Wild West and Baa, Baa Black Sheep - plays a middleweight boxer who gives up the ring to become a detective.
Conrad leads the life of a single man although his marital status is not altogether clear. Most of his children, Joan, 26; Nancy, 25 (an aspiring actress); Christian, 14; Christy, 11, and Shane, 7, live with their mother in Californias San Fernando Valley. He and his wife, Joan, remain close friends and confidants. They see a great deal of one another when Bob visits the children on trips to California. The children, too, fly to Chicago to spend time with their father. For time being, daughter Joan travels with her father as a production assistant and lives with him off and on in the actor's Chicago apartment. His present domicile is an apartment on famed Lakeshore Drive 14 above Lake Michigan. It has two bedrooms and reflects Bob's taste in furnishings. There are 32 paintings on the walls, most by young artists.
He also keeps an apartment, in Los Angeles which he prefers using to a hotel when he is working in Hollywood. "The reason I moved back to Chicago is that I dig the people and the four seasons of the year," Conrad says. Some day he plans to build a large house on acreage he owns in the mountain resort of California's Bear Valley where he plans to do a lot of skiing. A physical fitness buff, Conrad is a good amateur boxer for his age. He jogs 10 miles every day, even in the snow.
Robert Conrad . . . battle-scarred veteran of TV Series must keep physically active to counteract his love of food and beer. As a single man he eats in restaurants almost every night of the week. He fasts on Sundays, drinking beer and watching sports on the tube. Conrad claims he's a good cook but it bores him. In his free time he rents airplanes and is working on his license to pilot multi-engine aircraft. He plans to buy a plane of his own one of these days. Bob's penchant for casual clothes sometimes creates problems for him in Chicago restaurants where the midwesterners customarily wear suits and neckties. Chances are slim that Conrad will ever marry again. He said he isn't even taking women out these days. "Dates?" he asks, innocently. "Thats what you buy in a market."

Here's an article about the Conrad kids after their Dad's death. Or at least, the link to it. Conrad kids todayBut to correct the first picture for Robert with his first wife, Joan Kenlay. Another correction is needed in Shane's article where it's mentioned that he and Christian should have played in "High Sierra Search & Rescue". Not true since Shane was only a producer to this show and for only one episode. Christian was never involved here! Hope you enjoy! And my corrections!

Two articles will still follow. Found these online, again. And with this 7day trial for newspapers.com, I'm still thinking about it. Hopefully, I can then quit there too - after this trial. Otherwise, I'll let it be.

Here's another article regarding "Charley Hannah" from 1986. To make some strange naming known, though interesting here. All in the family
Actor Robert Conrad was divorced and remarried and has children with his past and present wives. No hard feelings. In fact, Bob's so family oriented that his next project is truly a family affair. Bob has just finished final details for ABC-TV's "Charley Hannah," which airs in March. It's about a cop who adopts a runaway kid. The kid is played by his son Shane, 13. A supporting actor is Christian Falk but his real name is Chris Conrad, Bob's older son. The executive producer is Joan Conrad, Bob's daughter, and the associate producer is his daughter Nancy. The camera person is his daughter Christie. Bob's ex-wife, also named Joan, is his business partner; his current wife, Lavelda, and their two baby daughters will be involved in the anticipated TV series. Then there's granddaughter, Nikki, 1, whose mom is Bob's daughter Joan. Nikki is the new face for Gerber baby foods.

To prove this, here the German video paper for this. Here once more bigger: That's how I know this movie back then. Can't really remember when it was released it here, yet I saw it. Definitely!!!

At some point, he started using the family last name. He's credited with it by the time he appeared on Voyager in 1996.

Already earlier. When you watch the movie, he's also credited as Christian Conrad. Right after Dad and little brother Shane. Like then as well in HMR and JH, only the pilot of HMR it was Robert, Christian and Shane Conrad. FYI!

Here's another good one where father and older son for once agree on the behavior of the younger son. It's in the episode "Sacred Ground" where the Hawkes try to help the Indians find an ancient burial ground. Cody enlists the help of Matt, yet still goes with Jamie, his friend, out and the boys look for it themselves. When Matt returns to the station, he's angry that his brother didn't appeare and stats, "He's having fun, I'm going to strangle him." Still, Cody and Jamie find some trouble and are taken hostage, along with Jamie's Dad who was helping old friends to find some money and cocain in the mountains. Jesse then follows Tim and Robin and says, "He's my son. He's playing around, I'm going to strangle him." LOL For once, they agree here. But in the end, the old Indian burial ground is found and all is good. I quote myself here again for some reason and it is the dubbing again. Original is above and now comes my version. Matt: "He's making himself a nice day ..."
Jesse: "He's making himself a fool ..."
Again strange in my eyes, looking at the originals.
