Jack missed the time he was supposed to murder, thus his pact with the dark gods was broken. He's gone.
Good one, Kyle. Nice to see the Roadhouse crew take part. And yeah, it's too soon for Sam to jump into another relationship.

SUPERNATURAL - (TV-14, L, V). Air Date: October 28, 2014 Time Slot: 8:00 PM-9:00 PM EST on The CW Season 10 Episode 04: "The Halloween Door” Heading to the Roadhouse for a Halloween party, Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) see a mysterious old house. The boys are baffled, because they know that no house has ever stood on that spot before. The Winchester decide to investigate. Entering the house, they see what appears to be a young woman and her maid. The woman and the maid appear to be talking, but the Dean and Sam cannot hear them. Sam decides to try and lip read them but soon gets frustrated as the two women are speaking a language that he cannot understand.
While the house appears to be out of the early 20th Century, the boys see clues that is clearly not the case. What appear to be newspapers are printed in a strange and incomprehensible language, and, when Dean looks out a window, he is astonished to see three moons in the sky. At that point, the maid appears to see the Winchester boys and freaks out.
At this point, we shift to the views of the young woman and her maid.
The young woman, Darra (Lacey Chabert), is annoyed when the maid, G'Nyth (Cristin Milioti), claims to see the ghosts of two mysterious men in the house. Darra explains that their house has never been haunted before, but G'Nyth is amendment that the ghosts are there. When she was a child, G'Nyth had suffered a near fatal illness and had been in a coma for over a year. When she had awakened from the coma, she had somehow gained the ability to see and hear things that the other inhabitants of the Conclave cannot.
Darra has her own concerns, as she is to be married the next day. However, her fiance is abusive towards her, but Darra is afraid to call it off, for fear of how he will take it. The Winchester boys soon realize what is happening. Halloween is just around the corner, a time when barriers between worlds go down. They have stumbled upon a nexus point, where our world inter-phases with another and are looking into another dimensional plane. The lowered barrier have allowed Dean and Sam to partially cross over into this other dimension. While they can touch things in the house, they are invisible and inaudible to everyone except G'Nyth. Over trial and error, Dean and Sam are eventually able to communicate with G'Nyth. G'Nyth tells Dean and Sam about herself, Darra, and her world, which is called Easian, which is orbited by three moons and is governed by the Conclave.
G'Nyth then relates the story about Darra's abusive fiance. She and Darra have been friends since childhood, and she wants to make sure her friend doesn't make a huge mistake. Could Dean and Sam help? Soon after said fiance barges into the house and begins to abuse Darra. Since Dean and Sam are invisible to the fiance, they soon hand his butt to him in no time. G'Nyth tells the fiance that there are good ghosts protecting Darra, and will make sure he never hurts her again. The fiance decides to cut his losses and leaves for good. Although she is not sure what has happened, Darra thanks G'Nyth and her unknown friends. A grateful G'Nyth thanks Dean and Sam for their help.
At that point, the barriers between the two worlds start to go back up, Dean and Sam then watch as Darra, G'Nyth, and their house vanish back into their own native dimension.
Soon after, Dean and Sam are back in the Impala, heading for the Roadhouse. Sam wonders how many other worlds might be out there while Dean grins and says that it was cool to be the ghosts for a change!

Kyle - I liked Dean having already known Missouri and the fact she'd been in flashbacks prior in the pilot so we knew her by 'Home' then. I also liked how John hadn't told his sons Mary used to be a hunter which'll come out some point.
Didn't think we'd see Jim at the end with John and Missouri but nice addition all the same.
Tim - G'Nyth gaining the ability to see and communicate with the dead after waking up from a coma reminded me of a Canadian hospital drama called 'Saving Hope' where a neurosurgeon called Charlie after being involved in a car accident could see and communicate with the dead whilst he was in a coma and also once he'd woken up.
Glad the boys helped Darra and G'Nyth and of course you used the vial being down to explain the house existing for the short time being.
Sam being the geek he was would probably squeal at the existence of a multiverse if that's in SDOW although it would take Dean a few minutes to grasp the concept then.

I remember this episode.
Like the additions about Mary's past as, at that point in the actual show, the boys didn't know about her hunter past.
Thanks, glad you liked the additional parts I added in. SUPERNATURAL - (TV-14, L, V). Yes, I added that in, as that revelation would come out soon at some point, if not, the boys going back in time and finding out themselves. But, John telling them might fit better. I added in Jim at the end with them, as felt fitting that we all saw them in the flashbacks together, and now the first time we see all three in present day is here together.

I've heard of this show. Erica Durance played the female lead, I believe.
Yup.
Except this wasn't another Earth. This was another dimension, like Oz is.
Dean was more happy that they were able to open up a can of whoop-a** on Darra's abusive boyfriend and sent him packing.
And you will note that the Roadhouse is still around in Season 10. Dean and Sam were heading there, when they got sidetracked here.

If the Roadhouse exists season 10 then the bunker mayn't perhaps or the boys still find it but visit the Roadhouse from time to time then?

Trinity - I loved Bloody Mary, and Ellen's secret. The team-up with Sam, Dean, Ellen and Jo was so much fun. I liked the Bobby and technology stuff, and liked the suggestions from others on Ash helping him to try and use it. I liked Home, with the extra backstory on Mary, and Dean remembering Missouri. Also liked the addition of Jim at the end. Tim - I liked this Halloween episode. G'Nyth was an innocent you felt for.

The bunker exists (my first episode starts there). However, since the Roadhouse is still around, the boys aren't at the bunker as much. It's one of their bases operation, and the Roadhouse is another.
Thank you.

I see. So the boys will live at the bunker like they did in the original series and use the library for research purposes but visit the Roadhouse still if what they need to research can't be found in the library then?

That would work well.
I say to introduce it later in the series the bunker, or even like it was in canon. I don't mind, the Men of Letters story. Maybe Bruce's character can take Mary's storylines like in S12, and be the one working with British Men of Letters, as we don't want to resurrect Mary. Like we said he and John had a different point of views, and he didn't like Sam and Dean raised as hunters, so it fits he'd want to work with them in order to get rid of all the monsters, so the boys can have a normal life like Mary tried to do.

SUPERNATURAL - (TV-14, L, V). Air Date: November 11, 2014 Time Slot: 8:00 PM-9:00 PM EST on The CW Season 10 Episode 05: "The Forever War”
Acting on a tip from Ash, Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) head for the remote Appellation Mountains to investigate the mysterious deaths of two Civil War historians. Said historians had been shot dead by musket balls, the same kind used during the Civil War.
When the Winchester boys get to the town nearest the murder site, the disguise themselves as FBI agents and talk to the local Sheriff. The Sheriff tells them all he knows, and then directs Dean and Sam to the local library where they can find more info.
Doing research at the library, the boys find out that, during the closing days of the Civil War, an evenly matched unit of Union and Confederate soldiers met up in these very hills. What happened next was a mystery, as neither unit was ever heard from again, and no trace of them was ever found.
Furthermore, over the decades, there have been other mysterious murders in that area, all done by Civil War era weaponry.
Dean and Sam then head for the area where the murders happened. When they get there, Sam finds a Civil War era musket ball, which looks too fresh to have been shot more than 150 years ago. Dean whips out the EMF machine and does a sweep, but there is no sign of ghostly activity.
Deciding to stake the area out, Dean and Sam wait for night. When it comes, they are treated to the sight the Union and Confederate soldiers, no mindless zombies, still fighting the Civil War, night after night.
Dean and Sam realize that the zombies alone couldn't have done this, and figure a god is behind it all. And they're right. Soon the boys find the cause, namely Ares, the God Of War. Turns out that that hatred between these two groups of soldiers was so entertaining to Ares, that, when they all killed each other, he resurrected them as zombies, so they could continue fighting and entertain him. And, as for the murders, Ares explains that was done to silence the witnesses.
Of course, the boys are disgusted that all this was done so Ares could have his fun.
Ares then says that he has to have his zombies kill the boys too, because, now they know too much.
However, Sam had planned for such an eventuality and whips out what he calls the Horn Of Pan. When Sam blows on it, Ares finds himself de-powered, and thus loses control the zombies. The zombies then turn on Ares, and he flees into the woods, with the enraged zombies hot on his heels.
On their way back to the bunker, Dean asks how Sam could have known to bring the Horn Of Pan. Sam replies that information had come his way, but refuses to divulge who sent the information in question. Dean can only puzzle on this.

This was a fun episode, I liked the whole war aspect of it all, and using Ares, God of War. I'll always think of Xena and Hercules with Ares, and he is who I picture.

Glad that you continues with Jo's story. Filled in the blanks here. Thanks Tim, glad you liked it. Had to fill in the blanks and wrap that up.
Why I placed Home rewritten before this, to have a bit of a break from the Roadhouse crew.
Great episode and we got our answers with where Jo was. I'm glad she's okay and liked the addition with what happened to Bill. I also liked seeing Caleb and Jo looking up to him. I remember those Hunter blogs. Also the John/Missouri/Jim trio knowing the truth and showing more with them from last episode. Fun episode. I'm glad you liked it.
Yes, I got inspired from those blogs, and the insight into the past, good way to write flashbacks and explore the hunters.
I like how all the supporting characters were included in this story and the parts they played in it then. Understandable John killed Bill and not his fault considering he was possessed and everything the same as when Piper from my own version of Charmed's 'Something In A Blue Moon' had to kill her daughter Mel who was a werewolf at the time. We finally get to see Caleb instead of just being mentioned which I enjoyed as well as Jo looking up to him. Missouri was right about John needing to grow a pair and I have no doubt she would tell Sam about his abilities if he doesn't obviously. Jo, hunting is her way of coping with what she learnt about her father that will need to be addressed. Like the original episode things turned out okay and Ellen and Jo reconciled at the end which settled stuff naturally. Good episode there. Thanks, glad you liked it.
Very cool what you did with your series, and yeah John had no choice, and of course, here Ellen forgave him, because she realized he did the best he could.
Had fun writing that part and making it sound like something Missouri would say. She sure will tell him, if John doesn't.
That is a very good point, something to bring up and deal with for Jo and her hunting to cope with what she learned about her dad in another episode.
Yes, it turned out okay in the end, and Jo came home.
