Some of these kids should sue their parents, IMO.

I know, working in schools I’ve met kids with really freaky names. I’ve met kids with misspelled names, names like Amber Jayde that sound like stripper names, or even blasphemous names. I once worked with two kids named Azrael and Messiah, that blew my mind since the former is the Angel of Death in the book of Revelations and calling a kid Messiah is just blasphemous, both kids had behavioral problems.

Azrael was the name of Gargamel's cat on the old Smurfs cartoon. And there is a comic character with that name. Perhaps that's where it came from.
Still one shouldn't saddle a kid with that.
And didn't Gwyneth Paltrow call her daughter Apple?

She did yes.
Kim Kardashian West and her husband Kanye's children have quite a few weird names like North, Saint, Psalm, and Chicago too obviously. Kylie Jenner's daughters called Stormi, Khloe's daughters named True and one of Kourtney's daughter is Reign also then.

All their names are so strange, and really I feel bad for the kids. If I had that name, you can believe I'd want to legally change my name when am older
I've heard some odd names to name a child, and one was Candy, which sounded like a stripper name to me.

The Smurfs cartoon hasn’t been on TV here in ages, the Angel of Death Azrael was the first thing that came to my mind since that was the most familiar to me from the Bible. I wondered if the parents even Googled the name first and just thought it sounded cool, plus the other kid being named Messiah was freaky. I’ve also encountered a trio of siblings named King, Prince and Princess, the latter were twins

I know, those are terrible names and I’m not sure who is supposed to be a boy or girl with names like that. If they were poor, the kids will have trouble finding jobs since employers tend not to hire people with odd names outside of show business. A rule of thumb is that if it looks silly on a CV or resume, then it’s not a good name

Well, then the kids turn 18, they can legally change those names.

Ouch. That someone could do that!! Unfortunately it’s legal to name kids anything you want in the US. Other countries have laws against this, in many Latin American countries kids’ names have to be Spanish or Portuguese or from the Bible which means that while a lot of people are named Jose or Maria, people don’t have stupid names.

Yeah, he'd have had a big problem here. All symbols and names are forbidden, regarding this era in our history. We don't want a repeat.

Jose or Maria
Which is Joseph and Mary to us.
Another Spanish name is Jesus, although they pronounce it "Hay-Seuss".

Yeah, I have several cousins named Jesus and that’s actually my boss’s name, he’s from Puerto Rico. It sounds weird to Americans for a a boy to be named Jesus but it’s actually really common in Spanish and Portuguese speaking countries. And of course Jose and Maria are extremely common names, both my grandmothers are named Maria but they answer to their middle names, Juana and Carmen. In both cases, half the girls in their kindergarten classes were named Maria so the oldest girl would answer to Maria and the other by their middle names so the teacher wouldn’t get confused
