Loved the pics giving us a glimpse into this weeks episode, and watched the trailer, which of course, I wouldn't have seen since it is an American one.

Another very engaging case this week. I had never heard of the name Twyla before - is it common?
I’m loving the growing glimpses we’re getting to see of Liam’s protectiveness towards his brother, and the fact that it was him calling Cordi that brought him back in the pool
Micki and Walker’s floor banter made me chuckle, but August’s confrontation with his dad, and Walker’s reaction, made my heart hurt.
Trey’s new role feels a little shoe-horned in at the moment, but we’ll see where it goes.
I liked the call-back to Gen’s real life soccer skills.
And, now that he’s not working with Jensen, I keep getting reminded just how tall Jared actually is.

Fun episode. As per ususal Walker and his kids end the episodes. A staple of the show. Trey being the new assistant coach at Stella and August's school was unexpected, but still a good way for him to interact with the rest of the cast more going forward, hopefully. Surprise, it looks like something suspicious really did go down with Emily's death, and both Liam and Captain James are looking into it, and will no doubt keep it from Walker. it looks like it will lead them to bringing Hoyt back into the fold judging from the previews for the next episode. No Abeline or Bonham this episode. I'm guessing this is going to be one of those shows were not all of the regulars need to appear in each episode, with the exception of Walker (and probably Micki too.)

So that little show at the end was to make Twyla think that "Duke" was dead. In this 24 hour news world, that will be quite a feat. If Walkers gets into the news, and Twyla sees it, won't she put two and two together.
Mind you, Twyla didn't seem as ruthless as her co-criminals. She only knocked that guy out and told Walker and Micki to get all the floor and count to 50, so she would have enough time to get away. That might help her, depending what what kind of lawyer she gets.
Walker had the right to be pissed at August for what he did. He risked not only his own life, but Walker and Micki's as well (Twyla may not be up to murder, but i get the feeling that other guy would have no such qualms).
Yeah, no parents this week.

This was the first episode where the crime and case was a bigger part of the episode than the family drama.
Walker working undercover as Duke was fun.
Micki jumping in to play the part of Walker's undercover persona, complete with wavy hair and southern accent.
I liked that Captain James said it was really stupid to send a Texas Ranger like Walker undercover after his wife's death. It made sense.
When Walker was talking about the loss of his brother, instead of his wife, I feel like it was a reference to Dean, with Sam speaking of the loss of his brother and riding the circuits together. LOL
I did wonder how August found Walker, so I assumed August was following him from the bar.
Odds and Ends: *No Parents this episode. * I have never heard of the name Twyla before, common?
Overall thoughts: I liked the undercover stuff. a very intense and thrilling plot. I can't wait until the next episode, but unfortunately there is a hiatus now for three weeks.
Grade: A
Moments: 1. Walker family burning Duke's stuff. 2. Micki riding the bull. 3. "Oh your surprised you got robbed by the robbers?"

Whaaaaat!?
I thought the CW promised that there would be no long breaks in this shortened season.

This week which dealt with Walker's undercover work in the world of Bull riding where he took on the alias Duke and met Twyla the woman from his phone in the previous episode was fun watching.
They clearly had something going although I wonder if Walker was in the right frame of mind then considering his wife had just passed away?
I liked the continuing dynamics between Trey and Micki's relationship at the start although Micki clearly doesn't have a good connection with her mother.
Seeing Jared half naked getting changed on the side of the road left me all hmm, hmm.
His brothers ongoing protectiveness of him and the kids was nice seeing including his involvement in Walkers undercover work.
The scene with Twyla and Duke talking about the brother he lost I assume was a reference to Supernatural and Dean.
August's frustration with Walker was understandable thinking he would leave him and Stella again.
Micki did a good job pretending to be Duke's friend when he was back undercover. Their floor banter made me laugh.
I wasn't expecting Trey to become the school football coach but I suppose it's a way for the character to interact more with the cast.
Abeline and Bonham not appearing made sense I guess because the nature of the episode didn't have anything to do with them.
So Walker's friend Hoyt will reappear on the show again some point him having been referenced in the bar scene.
I thought August and his friend would blow Cordell's cover showing up in the middle. August and Walker's exchange hit me hard.
I felt Stella's pain when she was talking about why she started doing soccer because of her mum and hoping that would bring her father back but I understood Trey's response when he mentioned was she playing for herself or her dad and what she had to decide.
Of course Twyla would show her cards in the end which I saw coming.
Let's hope Duke stays dead because if it comes out on the news that he isn't or Twyla somehow finds out he was a Texas Ranger in disguise it won't be good for him then.
So Liam as well as James who isn't bent it seems are both looking into Emily's death

Twyla didn't strike me as the killing type. She only knocked out her partner, and didn't shoot Walker and Micki, when she easily could have.

I felt the same way. I didn't get that impression from her. She was even nervous.

And she seemed pretty saddened over Duke's "death".

Eh, somehow the descriptions never seem to fit right. Is that only me? Never mind, so Walker comes back from his undercover work and is haunted by his past. With his dead wife and obviously a drunk stunt where he met Ramirez earlier. Trying to reconnect with his family is not easy either while Stella is trying to save her friend and August making their home a home again. I get the feeling that people close to Walker are hiding important information from him, like his brother and his old partner but that's my gut telling me, maybe. P.S. Can catch up one day later than you, I think.
