Okay, caught now up as well.
So much happening in one episode. Nice to see Hoyt back and all, Stella having a boyfriend is also interesting but there might be more which was shown at the end. And it seems that Walker is no handyman when he nailed his hand, big ouch. Cool that his partner Micki helped him all the time. Great as well that the family bought the bar - with that many memories there. And the former owner Geri also has some secrets she never shared.
And arresting Micki's Mom in the end. Whoho! Well, her entrance was also good. Poor Micki!
Can't wait for the next one!

Poor Walker really had a meltdown when the bar collapsed. Of course, it was about Emily. Poor man has never really dealt with it.

I can't be the only one who thought of Supernatural when Walker was talking to his dead wife. Even though I doubt she was truly a ghost of course.
I like the twists in this show. I had figured Geri was hiding something, but the ‘hush money’ surprised me.
Anyone else thinking Trevor will play a big part in the season or will he or his father kidnap Stella, forcing Walker to go against the law, or will the dad do it alone and Trevor has a change of heart and saves Stella? Time will tell.
Nice to see Matt Barr back as Hoyt. Very colourful character.
And what is happening with Alex's mother?
Grade: A-

This is probably a wink to the SPN fans who followed Jared and his wife over to this show.

I still feel like he'll be redeemed in the end or he'll not go through with what his dad wants. But I might be way off here.

Wonder if word will reach Twyla that "Duke" is alive.

Wonder if word will reach Twyla that "Duke" is alive. Oh that is a good question. I feel like it will in time.

I liked this episode. As always nice to see the Emily story is heating up and lots of secrets.
Nice, the bar isn't going away. It's a big part of the community and Walker.

Yeah, that's why Walker went all out to save it. And why he ended up buying it.

It's been a year since Emily died and this episode highlighted that whilst heating up more how that might've occurred then. Geri also decided to sell the Side Step which Walker didn't want happening because of all the memories he shared there with Hoyt, Geri, and Emily so he ended up buying that with his wife's life saving's.
Will Walker end up leaving the Texas Rangers and run the bar himself or have someone to do that for him then? Will Geri still work there despite no longer, owning it? We'll find out due course naturally.
You can tell Emily's death affects Walker still with him trying to save the bar although that nail in Cordell's hand was nasty.
I'm glad he and Micki talked about his feelings and how he needs to learn to control them better.
I liked the flashbacks with Hoyt, Geri, and Emily and what happened with them. Denise the bull head had me laughing. Yes girl you had to make it about you huh.
Micki's mum annoyed me at the start I don't know why but Trey answering back in Spanish had me smirking.
At least she accepted him as her daughter's partner before the later two got on at the end.
The Harry Potter reference I caught.
Walker trying to the stop Geri selling the bar was understandable and cute saying the place was a crime scene.
Geri was right about Walker being in denial about Emily's death and how he couldn't fix the bar because of structural problems.
So the person convicted of killing Emily mayn't have done it then which's why James and Liam are investigating it together? Walker won't be happy with that when he hears of course.
Nice seeing the grandparents again on better terms interacting with Stella and August camping. Poor Stella can't get a break.
It's a shame Trevor's not all he seems to be though is that true or is he being coerced by his dad and is really a good guy then? Guess we'll find out next.
Even if Emily didn't like camping it was nice seeing the Walker family sleep the night at her favourite place.
Did Geri have something to do with Emily's death which she's keeping secret perhaps?
And what's up with Micki's mother being arrested?
