I thnk it would be cooler for Ryan to get her own Bat-Persona, instead of just "replacement-Batwoman", not sure what her name would be though.

Guess the writers will have to think one up.

Maybe they'll use existing names. The Batman family had quite a few like flamebird, Batwing or Black Bat for instance.

Maybe best Ryan get an original name since she isn't in the comics.

As to recast Kate to bring her back just to send her packing and go away again, would be a bit of a downer. I don't think that will go well with the fans. I'm hopeful they have it figured out. The articles say New Kate is part of an arc in the second half of the season, so it will be more than just a bring her back only go go away again.
