Worked on this episode. It’s Heart, with the first werewolf episode. Some differences, with more on Sam moving on from Jessica.
Also touched on Dean and John having a heart to heart. I haven’t done more with Adam and Kate than a mention, not confirming if they are still alive or dead, but with where S2 left off, John was going to give up hunting, but of course went back when Dean was brought back. But Jump the Shark might happen at some point in early S4, with whoever decides to adapt it, but well see since Trinity is working on the start of S3.

SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA: BAR (NIGHT) - Madison (guest star Emmanuelle Vaugier) and three of her friends are sitting at a table having cocktails and laughing. Madison’s co-worker Nate (guest star David Quinlan) walks up to Madison, being very obvious at trying to hit on her, he asks her to come back to the office with him. Madison knows that he's had too much to drink and calls him a cab and says she'll see him tomorrow. Looking across the bar, she notices a man (guest star G. Patrick Currie) staring at her with an evil look. She turns away for a second and when she turns back he's gone.
SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA: STREETS – Madison walks to her car but hears a crashing noise behind her, but when she stops, she sees nothing. Once she reaches her car and drives away, the mysterious man immediately begins following her, watching her leave.
SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA: OFFICE BUILDING (NEXT MORNNIG) - Madison is filling the coffee pot when she suddenly notices blood on the door to Nate’s office. Going inside, she sees a trail of blood on the rug leading to the desk, where Nate is lying, dead. , with his entire chest ripped apart. Madison screams.
PEORIA, ILLINOIS – Dean (Jensen Ackles) is on the phone to John (Jeffery Dean Morgan) who is down at the Roadhouse, updating him on the case he and Sam just concluded involving a haunted house and a ghost. Sam inside the Impala taking a nap.
SAM’S DREAM - Sam (Jared Padalecki) dreams of the last time he spoke to Jessica. Recalling packing his things to go find his dad, while Jessica (recurring guest star Adrianne Palicki) is clearly reluctant to let him go. Sam reassures her that all will be fine, and walks towards the exit. Before he leaves, Jessica calls to him but is unable to say what she wants to, and instead brushes it off as nothing. She apologizes When Sam looks to the driver's seat of the Impala he is shocked to see Jessica. Jessica turns to face him, with large burn marks on the left side of her face.
ON THE ROAD: IMPALA – Sam wakes up, shouting Jessica's name, worrying Dean who is driving. Sam tells Dean that he's okay and that it was nothing.
MOTEL ROOM: (LATER) – Sam has John on loadspeaker on his phone, informing them that he just left the roadhouse, where the crew discovered a case about several hookers from Hunter's Point being attacked by wild dogs over the last few months. Dean and Sam suspect it may simply be a pack of strays causing it. But John thinks the fact that all incidents occurred at night during a full moon. This prompts Dean and Sam to agree to take the case when they suspect werewolves, or hell hounds, which Dean refers to as "servants of Satan".
Dean believes a silver bullet to the heart will answer their questions, however, Sam claims it's not that simple, since the latest victim is a lawyer named Mulligan. Dean and Sam agree to take the case from John, and decide it needs proper investigation.
SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA: MORGUE - Sam posing as a local detective investigating the death of Nate Mullins talks to the medical examiner (guest star Teryl Rothery) where he is told that one massive bite mark runs down Nate’s chest. Off the record, the medical examiner tells him that if she didn't know any better, she'd have to say he was bitten by a wolf, because his heart was missing.
MADISON'S APARTMENT - Sam and Dean come to Madison’s apartment to question her asking her if Nate had any enemies or angry clients. Madison excuses her neighbor Glen (Brad Dryborough). When Sam notices Madison is hiding something, he demands an answer. Madison admits her ex-boyfriend, Kurt, became a little crazy after they broke up, who assumed she and Nate were in a relationship. As Madison explains this, she spots Kurt staring up at her through the window. Dean and Sam order her to stay inside while they go check him out.
OUTSIDE APARTMENT BUILDING - Sam and Dean both agree that Kurt could be the werewolf.
KURT’S APARTMENT – Dean and Sam get inside his apartment only to discover many photographs of Madison, proving him to be a stalker, and that he had escaped through the window. Sam becomes frustrated, and Dean correctly deduces that Sam is associating Madison with Jessica.
OUTSIDE KURT’S APARTMENT - When the brothers notice a full moon approaching, Sam rushes to check on Madison while Dean continues the search for Kurt.
MADISON'S APARTMENT - When Sam enters Madison’s apartment, he instantly sees Jessica burning on the ceiling, but soon realizes it was all in his head. Madison returns shortly after, claiming to have been helping the kid next door. Sam is furious, and yells at Madison, causing her to slap him. Sam apologizes to her.
HUNTERS POINT - Dean calls Sam telling him that Kurt had been hanging around at Hunter's Point, but hadn't killed anyone yet. He also advises Sam not to get too close to Madison, unless he wanted to end up like he did with Jessica. Sam acknowledges this.
MADISON'S APARTMENT - Sam explains to Madison that his girlfriend, a law school student, was dead because of him and she would have ended up like Madison if she were alive. He apologizes for his outburst earlier. Sam adds that life is so short so he became very worried. Madison forgives him, and tells him its okay to move on, especially hearing how long she has been gone for.
The two begin talking about a painting done by Kurt, that Madison kept because she likes it too much. The two gradually bond. Before Madison falls asleep, Sam promises to protect her no matter what, and falls asleep outside her room.
OUTSIDE KURT’S APARTMENT - Dean notices Kurt being attacked through his window. By the time he gets there, Kurt is already dead but the werewolf is still there, and it attacks Dean. Before Dean passes out from his injuries, he manages to cut the werewolf's wrist. Before it runs off, he sees its Madison.
MADISON'S APARTMENT - Sam wakes up to Dean calling him about the attack. Dean believes it's Madison due to the werewolf's resemblance, but Sam rebuffs him, saying Madison had been in bed all night.
MADISON'S APARTMENT (NEXT MORNING) – Madison wakes up and happily greets Sam. Dean tells Sam to check Madison’s right wrist, which Dean had slashed with a silver knife. Indeed, Sam discovers the exact wound on Madison's wrist.
Dean and Sam tie Madison up to a chair. She cries having had no recollection of being a werewolf. Dean suggests killing her, but Sam doesn't want to, since he believes her to be an innocent girl who truly has no memories of the attacks. Sam urges Dean to find another solution that doesn't involve killing Madison.
OUTSIDE MADISON’S APARTMENT – John arrives, and provides them with a possibility, that Bobby and Ash checked out for him but makes it clear that it is not guaranteed to work. John tells Sam and Dean that a werewolf might change back into a human if the werewolf who bit them is killed. Dean and John agree to go check out Hunter's Point, believing their target is the one responsible for killing the hookers.
MADISON'S APARTMENT - Sam watches over Madison, who grieves over simply having gotten a dog's bite, realizing it was more than that. Madison eventually transforms and attacks Sam. However, Sam manages to lock her inside a closet.
HUNTERS POINT - Dean and John manage to kill the other werewolf, looking at the werewolf, Dean realizes it was Glen, Madison's neighbor, the one who turned her.
MADISON'S APARTMENT - Sam takes Madison out of the closet, now that she's no longer transformed and seemingly cured. Upon accepting that she is indeed a werewolf and the cause of numerous deaths, Madison attempts suicide but Sam prevents her from doing so, promising to take care of her instead if John and Dean are not successful. When John and Dean arrives, the four celebrate their success.
OUTSIDE MADISON’S APARTMENT BUILDING – The Winchesters sit in the Impala. Madison comes up to the window asking why they are still here. They tell her they're pretty sure she won't turn tonight but they've got to be 100% sure. Madison says as long as they've got to wait it out, they might as well do it together, and invites them up.
MADISON'S APARTMENT – (THAT NIGHT) - The evening passes and sunrise arrives and Madison hasn't turned evil; it looks like it's all over. Madison is so thankful and gives Sam a hug. John and Dean both head back to the hotel. After they leave, Sam and Madison make love.
BAR - Dean and John are having a drink, both happy that Sam is doing alright and has gotten over Jessica. John admits, that after avenging Mary’s death, he was going to give this all away, but it was Dean’s resurrection that prompted him back in. He admits, that it took him time to get mourn Mary, before he met Kate. Dean asks John, if he regrets making them hunters, and wishes they had the life Adam had. He does, but knowing that Mary was also a hunter, it seems the hunter lifestyle is always apart of them.
Madison's Apartment (MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT) - Sam awakens to find Madison standing by the window as a werewolf. She hisses at Sam and dives out the window. Sam quickly gets dressed and runs back to the motel to tell John and Dean that she's turned again. Dean says they'll find her, while John decides to call hunters for help in a cure, if anybody knows any.
HUNTERS POINT – As Dean and Sam keep searching for Madison and decide to split up.
HUNTERS POINT – John calls Sam over the phone, saying its hard for him to tell him this, since he knows how much he cares for her, but they must end her life, for there is no other option left. Sam in denial, tells John if he called all his sources. John tells him he did and that Bobby, Ellen, Ash, Jo, one of Bobby’s old friends and Jim’s old journals had no answers.
MIDDLE POINT – Dean calls Sam, telling him, John told him what’s up, and he agrees with their dad, that they have to kill her. He’s at Middle point.
HUNTERS POINT – Sam hears Dean's phone cut off. Sam finally relents and calls John rushing to find and rescue Dean.
MIDDLE POINT – Sam and John reach Madison's location to save Dean from getting killed, but she storms off.
OUTSIDE MOTEL – (NEXT MORNING) Sam's phone rings, it's Madison. She's in a phone booth and she doesn't know where she is. Hearing, that she still transformed and nearly killed Dean, Madison ultimately decides to end her life, too guilt-ridden by her past actions to remain happy. But Sam begs her to not do it alone, she tells Sam the intersection she's at and the Winchesters pick her up and take her back to her apartment.
MADISON'S APARTMENT – Madison says she doesn't remember anything. John tells her the truth that he’s called everyone he knows and have found no cure. Realizing that there's no way to save her, Madison picks up the gun and asks Sam to shoot her. She doesn't want to die, but she doesn't want to hurt anyone, especially Sam, and this is the only way.
Dean grabs the gun and Sam walks out of the room unable to speak to him and John. Sam starts shedding tears with Dean and John both offering to take this one. But Sam realizes that Madison is right, and this is the only way. He begs Dean to give him the gun so he can finish the job. Sam tells John and Dean to wait in the other room.
Sam walks out of the kitchen towards Madison looking back at Dean and John in tears. Both Dean and John stare at the wall and sheds a tear of sympathy, flinching as they hear the gunshot.
