And we're back. Well worth the wait. Although it has only been four months hasn't it.
I’m glad the Lois-Clark storyline went in the direction that it did and that the Kent-Lane-Irons situation has a direction.
Curious to see how Lois’ backstory with her mother comes in this season. No doubt, Lucy is part of that.
Natalie was great and I’m Interested to see her on the farm. She was way more relaxed about moving in than I thought.
Enjoyed Clark’s talk with the boys. And Lois’ talk with Natalie. I think it hit the right notes— they know they’re not mother/daughter, but there is a desire to connect in a new way. That’s what I hoped.
So annoyed with the unresolved Sarah/Jordan plot. Though she’d explain what was up, now we have to wait a week!

The fact that even Superman has problems makes him feel more normal and relatable I feel. Like it’s ok to have problems, not even Superman is perfect. That is what I enjoyed in this one.
Loved everything except for the Jordan/Sarah drama and how it was left unresolved at the end of the episode. Boo.

Great start to S2.
So Lois and Lucy's mother abandoned them. A different take than past Ella Lane's.
I wonder why Teagan was written out off screen? It just seems really random to replace her with another girl with no explanation.
Doomsday! I love the nod to his first appearance in the comics with the punching.
I liked that Natalie and Lois found common ground. I especially love that they treat them as a strangers. She ain't replacing Natalie's mother.

I liked how they handled Lois's depression, and how they tied it into her own abandonment issues and not just Natalie being her alternate daughter.
I wonder if Lucy's return ties down to the issues Lois has with their mother leaving them.
An interview has confirmed Tegan is over and done with. LOL, seems like a waste, as her story last season was building, and she's replaced by a new random girl.
I hate Anderson. But yeah, seeing Tyler and Ian together again makes me happy. They worked together before on Teen Wolf.
Doomsday had a rather unique look when he first appeared in the comics. The show may have done the same...

A solid, but a depressing premiere.
Lois depression ties into her issues with her and Lucy's mother abandoning them. I'm sure this is going to be a bigger arc. Might be what brings Lucy back.
Some drama. Clark and Lois are not in sync, neither are Jordan and Sarah, Clark is getting weird visions that mess with his Superman life.
With Lois it wasn't even just Clark, she was snapping at everyone. She has lots of issues she needs to sort. I'm hoping Lucy's return helps her heal more.
Who the hell is this Candice?! Where's Tegan?! Who even cares about Candice. I'm annoyed when shows just ditch love interests and throw a new one in. Boring.
The twins are 15 now. They were 14 last season. I'm guessing that means they are in 9th grade now?
I have to get used to seeing a Clark Kent with facial hair for more than one episode. Clark in Smallville had facial hair but usually for just one episode.
Lucy was finally mentioned!! YAY!! But seriously, Lois and Lucy's mom abandoned them, she didn't die like in Smallville. Wow, this makes their dad better than I thought, he stayed.
I HATE ANDERSON!!
The Irons and the Kent's living together in the same house. That will be weird.
I'm glad the show made it a point to talk about someone's first time in a serious manner.
What exactly came out of the ground? For a second I thought it was Doomsday before the human like hand appeared. Maybe it is Doomsday. We shall see.

Lucy was named for the first time on this show. Of course, the character is returning.
Poor Lois was upset because of the way she treated Natalie. Liked how it tied into her own mother abandoning the family. I wonder if Lois and Lucy will try to track their mother down.
And poor Natalie didn't have it any easier. She's now living on a world full of people who look like her dead mother and friends, but they're not. Nice that Lois asked her and John to come and stay on the Kent farm until they find a way to fit into this new world they're in.
As for trying to hire people for that newspaper: Lois, this isn't the Daily Planet, you gotta work with what you have.
Clark went and saved a North Korean sub, and returned it home. He did the right thing, as Clark does not get involved in international politics. He saw that the sub, and its crew, were in trouble, and saved them. End of story. It matters not to Clark what country they come from.
Don't like that Anderson guy either. He tries to browbeat Clark into an "America First" attitude, and, when Clark won't go along, he's now creating his own "super team". This is a Frankenstein story just waiting to happen.
Lana is now helping the new Mayoral candidate. Well, considering the current Mayor threw her (and her family) under the bus to save his own political butt, I can't blame her.
Kyle continues to improve as a character.
Jonathan had an embarrassing moment, when Lois walked in on him and his girlfriend.
What's up with Sarah?
Good to have this show back.

I can tell I'm just going to HATE Anderson. Who does he think he is? The way he gave back the panic button to Clark acting as if he didn't need Superman....no my friend you have it twisted completely. Superman doesn't NEED you. You NEED him. I'm guessing we'll see that come up again across the season. Doesn't matter how many symbols of hope you put on those metahumans' chests. There is no replacing Superman. Loved the Natalie and Lois stuff. I can't even imagine being in a situation like that. But its progressing as I'd hoped, with them starting to form a bond of some kind. I hope she is able to bond with her "brothers" as well. I'm even enjoying Kyle now which I never expected, he's become so likeable now. I do feel weird over this Daniel guy, he seems a tad unnecessary when its pretty clear that Lana herself should be the one running for office. The whole Sarah/Jordan thing was weird. According to the timings she had only been gone a month at this camp, and in just 4 short weeks she comes back and is acting really strangely for no apparent reason? Hope this gets resolved soon because its not particularly interesting. First name-drop of Lucy which is cool. I read an article with the showrunner I think recently where he said the Lucy we will see is different post-Crisis to the one we knew from Supergirl. So obviously some alterations have taken place. Pretty convenient way to explain away any differences really, just blame Crisis LOL.
If that really was Doomsday at the end then I am concerned, in pretty much all Superman media (comics, shows, movies etc) shortly after he appears it usually goes into the Death of Superman stuff. So we might now have a hint at how this season might end and if that DOES happen then we may be seeing a version of Superboy come season 3 covering for Clark (Jordan).

Looks like Anderson is going to be our jerk for the season. Clark should tell him to get stuffed.

I obviously haven't been watching or reviewing any of the CW shows this season even though I've downloaded episodes probably because I haven't been interested yet or been watching a lot of stuff on YouTube or doing other things though I've read everyone's reviews which I'm glad people are enjoying what's going on then.
Whether I do that at some point we'll see otherwise I'll keep viewing other members' comments naturally.

My site was also quick and I could catch up with you. Okay, we're dealing with a lot of problems at many corners here. Not all agree and well, there are a lot of discussions ahead. And the earthquake is Smallville seems to be more than it seemed which turned out to be right. I agree with Adam. I don't like Anderson and his new soldiers. Clark doesn't want to be in politics and well, "America first" - I don't need to be reminded here. The dynamics are definitely going to change. Can't wait for next week.

That's fine. I don't mind spoilers then.
I'm if ever I do get around to watching any of the CW shows I do I'll have probably forgotten what I read anyway and so won't remember what the storylines were about obviously.

A bit late with my review. But here it is. Was a bit under the weather (not COVID) But had a bit of a cold last week, but I'm okay now. A decent start to the new season with the introduction of the new big bad Doomsday. I'm glad we already got to the source of Lois's behavior. I don't blame her for feeling anything to Natalie - she shouldn't. She isn't Natalie's mother. FINALLY, Lucy gets a mention. But great set-up since she's coming in episode 4. Oh Jordan, it seems Sarah found her a new man at camp. I said last season the relationship between she and Jordan progressed WAY TOO FAST. And now the writers have to back off. Of course, I'm cool with that because I still don't think those two have anything remotely resembling chemistry. In fact, Sarah just seems older and too mature for Jordan. As for Jordan/Sarah, not too interested in them. So what happened to Teagan? Did the show fail to secure the actress for another season, or did they decide to go a different way? The "sex talk" scene with Clark was adorable. The one good thing for Jonathan in not being super-powered is no fear of killing someone he has sex with. Grade: A
