Perhaps they will do that.

Saw the episode now. Wasn't a rush since its not on this week. So much happened in this episode. Clark and Lois had a moment of affection in the kitchen which was so sweet. Loved the acknowledgement of Clark having been away a month and the impact on Lois and the boys. Chrissie was back, she's been MIA for what seems like forever. Funny how she got made a regular in S2, yet, I feel like her screentime decreased. I love them setting up Clark going back to journalism. I'm betting that his storyline in S3. Bit more Ally/Lucy backstory - I appreciate the effort to expand on it. Since neither had any scenes together until this episode. Clark spending the day with the boys. I really loved seeing that. Clark Jordan training/flying scene was very fun. The Cushings scenes added nothing to the episode. All filler. Honestly, after last weeks episode. Lana already stated she needed time away from them. I don't think they are necessary for the rest of the season. Lois, Sam & Chrissy in the car made me laugh. Lucy finally saw the light, and regrets what she did. I hope her redemption is on the way. Grade: A-

Saw it finally. Some nice family moments with the Kents, the Lanes and Cushings. Cool that Clark spent some time with his boys and the extra flying lesson with Jordan in the ice. If he knows what his wife is planning for him with Chrissy. She was really missed. Clark being back in journalism would really make my day. Lana was a bit getting on my nerves. Snapping at everyone, including Jordan and all. She should make up her mind, regarding the Kents. And finally Lucy sees what Ally is up to. Nothing good that she hurt her father and Superman. And now she wants to merge the two Earths. Power corrupts and absolute power even more. Glad that the Irons saved the day, even though we're not sure yet about Clark. Can't wait for more!!
EDIT: Quicker thinking than typing again. lol

Natalie is growing. Nice she joined her father in the saving.
I loved the family moments. With Clark and his boys.
YAY Lucy is free of Ally. I loved her moment with her dad. I got emotional. Now, I'm hoping for some wonderful moments with Lucy and the family coming. I know she needs time to heal and won't be surprised she goes for real soul searching and leaves after S2.
Don't care for the Cushings. Filler. Filler. FILLER.
Can't wait for the next one.

Seems that the verdict is in on the Cushing family. Enough of them until next season.

I guess unless anything important crops up with the Cushing's or any of them are central to the up-and-coming season's end storyline then maybe they shouldn't be featured until season 3 as people have said.
From what clips I saw of this episode on YouTube it seemed okay.
I've enjoyed watching Jordan grow in his powers from being trained by Sam to him saving Jonathan and holding his own in fight scenes.
Clark venturing back into journalism did make me wonder if he'd ever do that again after leaving the Daily Planet because he did enjoy that job and obviously met Lois through it.
Of course, he'll have to be careful around Chrissy who doesn't know he's superpowered yet in terms of working at the Gazette e.g. making sure he types normally or gives palatable excuses why he leaves all the time considering the number of times Perry probably had a go at him for that then.
At least Lucy's finally seen sense now concerning Ally and will help her family.
Perhaps the producers wanted to depict her edgier in Superman and Lois which Crisis helped them out with in terms of changing people obviously.
