That's a good point Betty, it's a shame though when something like politics gets in the way of such a long friendship. We know that Shannen voted, based on her Instagram: hxxps://www.instagram.com/p/BMkTBlrjuXm/ (replace "hxxps" with "https" in your browser... only way I could keep the link from embedding the post)I can't see her pulling the lever for Hillary at all. She was against the first Clinton, so why would she suddenly turn around and support another one? This means that she either voted for Orange Hitler, or (hopefully) went Independent/Libertarian. You'd think that losing health insurance and thus, not catching her cancer until after it spread would've caused her to rethink her Republican affiliations. You know what the GOP's attitude towards people with no health insurance is? "Let 'em die," that's what. Does she really think that Orange Hitler is going to help people in her situation? Fat chance.Of course, this is probably where running a candidate with as much political baggage as Hillary hurt the Democrats. 30 years of GOP-driven smears, lies, and conspiracy theories are hard to overcome. Many people on both sides were automatically turned off by her simply because she was a Clinton, and they refused to even give her a chance.

Hopefully she'll be in remission then.

I'm taking it as such.
Grim Reaper, you did enough damage in Hollywood last year. Stay the hell away from Shannen!

If she does reach remission, she just needs to make sure she stays on top of things, has regular appointments and tests done.

And quit smoking.
As I said, this is one hell of a wake up call that smoking can kill you.

I had assumed she had stopped already right? She couldn't possibly still be smoking after all this? What bigger wake-up call can there be?

Some smokers can never quit. Neither of my parents did, and smoking killed them both (although in both cases, it wasn't cancer).

Sorry to hear that Tim. It's a shame people can't stop doing something that is killing them, it's never worth it.

My Nan and uncle smoked since their teenage life's till the day they died.
You can stop if you want to but you have to actually want to which Shannen maybe finding difficult to do perhaps.

Both my parents started smoking in the 1940's, before how bad it was for your health was generally known.
There is no such excuse today.
Let's hope she considers this a lesson learned. She could have died, she could still die. Doesn't get much harsher than this.

And yet? My old Gran smoked from when she was about 16 to the day she died aged 85, no cancer, no illnesses, just old age, and she was smoking a good 40 or so a day. Amazing how for some people it seemingly has no effect.

Your Gran was luck one of the lucky few that win the lottery.
Smoking is like playing Russian Roulette with your health. Sometimes you get lucky and live to a ripe old age. Other times however...
