Here we are a new season. Yes, I got my days mixed up. It started tonight. It looks like Riverdale is going supernatural/fantasy now. I’m not upset at the thought of Riverdale going supernatural but I do feel like they could have eased into it a little bit better. I believe it might have to do with Sabrina, regardless if Sabrina is on another network. Her series has been in development since Riverdale started. I guess the writers are sticking to what they had always intended, regardless if Sabrina isn't on The CW now. EDIT: I believe Sabrina is going the way of Riverdale, I hear some talk it isn't set in the 60s, rumors it just has an old-style feel, but with modern stuff like phones. But I'm not sure. But I actually believe maybe, it truly isn't supernatural, but just straight up creepy horror, without real ghosts or monsters. Betty had a seizure, so I believe the supernatural stuff could not be real and she is just seeing things. Polly and Alice are in a cult. Kevin and Moose are now most likely going to be a couple. At least Midge isn't forgotten.

Kevin and Moose are a couple.
If they are going supernatural, perhaps Midge's ghost can show up. Won't THAT be awkward!

Wouldn't it. I'd love to see that. I enjoyed the premiere episode. Fun, and I liked the parent's stories. I like when they give the adults much a story as the kids.

Do a Halloween episode, in which Midge's ghost turns up, and does a double take when she sees Moose and Kevin

Moose: Midge! You're...back!?
Midge's ghost: Just for Halloween. Looks at Moose and Kevin. Moose, is there something that you're not telling me!?
Moose: Uhhhhhhh....

I hear the parents get a flashback episode with them in high school this season. Moose: Midge! You're...back!? Midge's ghost: Just for Halloween. Looks at Moose and Kevin. Moose, is there something that you're not telling me!? Moose: Uhhhhhhh....
I can totally see it playing out like that.

They could easily do something like Charmed's 'All Halliwell's Eve' explaining about the veil between worlds being thin on Halloween hence the reason why Midge would be back that day.

Yeah, that's the idea I had. Midge comes back, sees Moose with Kevin, and wonders just what the heck happened.

That would be great. Perfect to cause little issues in their relationship. After all, Moose isn't gay, only Kevin. He's likely Bi.

Of course, Midge being a ghost, and only able to visit Earth once a year, might cause some relationship issues

Like Elizabeth and Will from Pirates Of The Caribbean when Will became captain of The Flying Dutchman after Davy Jones died in At Worlds End and he could only come on dry land once every ten years then.
How that must've screwed their marriage despite having managing to have a son who appeared in Salazar's Revenge.

Yeah, something like that. Midge residing on another plane of existence would make things hard.

That would be hard. But what a great concept.

Looks like Riverdale is going weirder this season. So it could happen.
