OMG, WHY SHOW WHY? They could have kept her alive, why didn't they. I wished they kept that scene in, I really liked it it was so nice. That is something SDOW can make sure doesn't happen and keep that scene in. I'm also shocked to learn they wanted her to have a bigger part, but at the same time, I can't imagine the show without Bobby. But, why can't we just have both, and that is what SDOW has done right.

We're agreed that no strong female characters will be pointlessly sacrificed. Missouri will be one of them.

I wished they kept that scene in too. Ashame they went back on their decision to keep her alive. Not to worry, SDOW won't make the same mistake, and that deleted scene can for sure be kept in ours.

I liked that deleted scene so much, and yes like others I wished they didn't go back on wanting to keep her alive.
Not to worry, we'll make sure won't suffer the same fate in SDOW.

I'd have had a hard choice here. Like both Bobby and Missouri but yeah, it'd have been nice to see her more often.

So many strong female characters were just thrown away. And the show was criticized for that.

I wished we saw more of her, at least the Supernatural Anime used her so much more, so that's something. So many strong female characters were just thrown away. And the show was criticized for that. Yeah, it was never the writing for them I hated, but how they are so quick to throw them away.
You notice how they listen to fans when they see how popular Bobby, Cas or Crowley were, when they were meant to only be around a bit, they go back on their decision to kill them. But females they will kill any potential they have. They got better when Rowena, Jody and Donna came around but that was 10 years in. Poor Ellen, Jo, Ruby, Pamela, Bela, Missouri from the early seasons were killed too soon.

Yeah that's the problem. They wrote them wonderfully, it was never writing, just the lack in using them and killing them off.

Mussouri was a good character. Touching deleted scene. They should have kept that in and her alive.

That's one thing which peeved me about this episode being that we'd hadn't seen Missouri in ten years and she comes back only to be die half way through diservicing fans who'd been excited to see her obviously.
With season 1 of SDOW we've fleshed her character out more instead of having her in just the episode 'Home' having her closely connected to John Winchester and Pastor Jim.
We also agreed not to kill every female going especially someone a representation of colour so this mistake won't happen then.

Me too. That really upset me so much, we waited a decade, and she gets killed off as quick as she came back. She was so popular, and always asked if she'd come back. It upset me so much. I know they wanted her back many times, but the actress was busy, but still, no need to kill her off. Like Melinda Halliwell said we'll make sure they are more fleshed out in SDOW and yes Missouri is seen after Home and has a bigger part. And especially a POC character.

As I said the show was often criticized for this, throwing away strong female characters.
I hated what they did to Charlie. If they wanted to end her story, then leave her in Oz. So that's what I did.
