Paul Ruditis is one the best Charmed authors (a role he shares with Diana Gallagher). If he's writing this, you know it's gonna be good.
I wonder if it will address why the sisters didn't remember having powers prior to 1998, when Phoebe discovered the BOS. When they went back in time, in That 70's Episode, they were surprised that little Prue and Piper had their powers. Yet, in 1998, they had no memory of that.
I know it's for kid, but I might grab a copy when it hits the shelves and do a review on it.

This could either be really fun or really awful. And is it canon?

We'll have to wait and see about that Adam then. Hopefully, it will be because that would be a nice new thing for Charmed fans to own obviously.

I'm going to get a copy since Paul Ruditis has been so great at Charmed novels, comics, and ebooks in the past. I'm surprised they didn't make the characters look like Alyssa and Shannen in their roles as children. But, I guess it's cheaper to do it this way.

I would suppose that the same rule that applied to the comics will apply here. It will be up to the readers to accept or reject it as canon.

I will say I like that its about the original power of three. Petition for Paul to write a series of Charmed novels set in a parallel world where Prue never died anybody?

Problem is that CBS, which owns the rights to Charmed, would probably not be on board.
Of course, Fan Fiction is under no such restriction.

And I know there are plenty of fanfiction stories on places like Fanfiction.Net who've done just that keeping Prue alive or having all three sisters meet Paige which lots of people enjoy.
If this books set when the sisters were young it could be considered canon but then you'd still need an official from the show to confirm that of course.

The show wasn't that great with continuity. Later seasons flat out forgot Grams bound their powers. Grams mentioned to Piper in an episode, she sat them down as young girls telling them about being witches and what it meant to her.
I'm interested in this book and will grab a copy.
It's up to readers to make their minds up on what is canon, what isn't, what's their headcanon. I don't think it will destroy canon. It's just fun that we're getting new Charmed stuff.
LOL, the reboot is so bad, it hasn't gotten anything period no novels or comics. I'm sure the reboot won't be around much longer maybe one more season. So I wonder if CBS will grant them the right to produce more content for Classic Charmed again with a new novel or comic reboot based on the original series. They are doing so well with the Buffy ones. Or ones where Prue never dies.

First since the comics went belly up.
It sure is. And those Ebooks, which were written by Paul. Not surprised Kernus 2.0's one, got scrapped and unpublished when he took over them. Would be nice if this leads to new novels.

The comics made a big mistake when they took Paul off and put Kernus 2.0 in charge, IMO.

I'm going to check it out. Especially given who is writing it. I hope it leads to more or other Charmed related books in the future. You can tell the reboot really failed more, when nobody is wanting to produce merchandise for it. No books at all.
