And typical. All I see online now. The OG fans instantly think a revival or movie can happen now. As if.
Maybe an animated movie. But none of the four will ever come together in the same room.

Unfortunately, a revival series of the OG show unlike Gilmore Girls most likely won't happen with Shannen's failing health, the fact of how Rose has been recently, and other things preventing the remaining cast from rejoining again which fans will just have to accept then.
All anyone can do is rewatch what's already there which the Cafe's been doing for a number of years along with their project and comment on that or continue going to fan conventions otherwise.
If ever a revival series did happen whether it was of a show or something else actors/actresses starred in one I can think of is Xena Warrior Princess because Lucy and Renee had a good friendship on and off screen which has continued since the show ended.
Of course Renee guest starred in an episode of Lucy's New Zealand murder show series recently been proof of that naturally.

OG fans have been bleating about this for years, long before the reboot happened. However, they have to face the fact that such a thing is very unlikely to happen for the following reasons:
1. Shannen's health. Shannen is currently battling Stage Four cancer (the same that killed Dustin Diamond last year). Returning to a role that she left under less than pleasant circumstances is no doubt WAY low on her list of priorities, if it's even there at all.
2. Rose McGowan. Rose has tuned her back on Hollywood, and more or less burned all her bridges there. She doesn't even live in the U.S. anymore (she moved to Mexico a few years ago). Rose has also given the impression that she hated almost every moment of working on Charmed. Wild horses couldn't drag her back.
Also, she has said horrible things about Alyssa Milano on Twitter (Alyssa, thankfully, did not sink to that level), which destroyed any friendship the two of them may have had. Satan would be snowplowing his way to work before the two of them would agree to work together again.
3. Actors alone wanting a revival are not enough. The only reason that the Gilmore Girls revival happened is because series creator, Amy Sherman-Palladino was behind it. She had never been happy that the CW has pushed her out of the original series and wanted to give it the wrap up she originally wanted it to have, and Netflix allowed her to do that.
In order for something similar to happen to Charmed, they would need either Constance Burge or, ugh, Kernus, on board. As far as I know, Constance has shown no interest in a Charmed revival. As for Kernus, he's finished in Hollywood, and good riddance.
4. Baggage of the later seasons. If Charmed had been cancelled early on (as the reboot has been), then a revival might be feasible. However, given the continuity damage of the later seasons, that is just no longer possible. Much as we loathe Brad's Brood Of Brats, they exist, and cannot be ignored. And given what selfish and horrible people the sisters became as the show went on, well, would you want to see those characters again. No thank you.
5. Why they went with a reboot in the first place. Finally, if there was ANY chance of a revival of the original series, then they would have done that, instead of the reboot. The fact that the reboot happened instead shows that the Powers That Be knew all along that a revival was not possible.
The OG fans just have to let this go, IMO.

Exactly Tim and I am one of those fans then.
I don't expect anything to happen and accept that actually though Shannen and Holly did a road trip series together plus Holly and Alyssa guest-starred on Grey's Anatomy which was nice hearing otherwise.
I appreciate what Charmed did in the early 2000s for women, girl power, and other things and will just keep rewatching the series whenever naturally.
The only chances of anything happening would be an animated or audio series where the cast can record their voices separately which then can be put together afterward and polished off before the finished product obviously.

Yeah, time to move on. I guess there were too many comparisons between the old and new show, and the distance too short. But that's only guessing.

Big Finish has done Audios for Doctor Who, Judge Dredd, Strontium Dog, Blake's 7, Dark Shadows, Dracula, Terrahawks, Sapphire & Steel, Sherlock Holmes, Space: 1999, Stargate, The Avengers, The Prisoner, Timeslip and Torchwood.
It is possible that they could do Charmed as well. And yes, that would mean that the actors could do their lines in separate locations, which would solve the Rose VS Alyssa problem. Of course, there would be those pesky rights issues in the way, but that would be for the lawyers to sort out.

Honestly if they DID announce a revival, and somehow.....inexplicably all four actors agreed to come back together to film something, I'm not sure I'd even want it. We all know how the show ended, they can't just ignore it and would have to include it, not to mention how unlikeable Piper and Phoebe were by the end. Holly seems to like playing Piper that way. It would be a mess. I think its best just left alone and maybe one day we could get some new novels set in certain seasons or perhaps the audios like Tim suggested. Maybe even a new comic series written by someone competent.

Yeah, that's part of the problem. We would be getting the later seasons sisters, not the early seasons ones. Would anyone want those characters back again?
Get Paul Ruditis back again. And this time, give him full creative control.

Yeah, as much as seeing Prue again would be the real draw card for me (I know Shannen is still working on films and such as a few months ago she was in a movie at the theatres with Bruce Wills, but I don't know if she'd do Charmed again, its pretty demanding). I honestly am not sure, I'd like it with the canon from S8. And I'd want them to pull a Will and Grace, and ignore the flashforwards as canon. I'd rather ditch Rose. Do a film with the original set, and do a story that ignores everything in S4-S8. Get Paul Ruditis back again. And this time, give him full creative control.
Well, they can do what Buffy did. Reboot the comics going back to the start. I'd fully support this. Retell the story from the start. I'd prefer more novels set in the Prue era. We got way too much comics and novels set in the Paige era. I'd love some untold stories in the early seasons. Ideally I'd want some set in late S1, near the end of S1 before Andy died. With him knowing their secret. It would be fun to see that dynamic. I'd love some alternate timeline novels of comics. What if Andy or Prue didn't die.

Yeah, both Will & Grace and The Conners retconned their original finales out. However, those are sitcoms.
Don't know if it would work for Charmed the same way though.
And, unlike the show, actor availability won't be an issue. However, likeness rights might be.

The only comparison I have is the reunion sort of come together from "Army Wives". I can't remember when it was aired but it was definitely after the show had ended and all discussed their characters, development and more. It was kind of funny. There was two (or more) rounds: army wives/man and soldiers. I liked it back then.
As for Charmed: too many time has passed, and I agree with Adam. I'm not sure I'd want it.

Time to let this go. Has the show ended after Seasons One or Two, then yes. However, the way things were when it ended in 2006, no.
