I've read the first few acts, and I gotta say this member from the Cafe Summer Reading has written a very well-done story. I especially like how they have managed to combine several different episodes together, and really crafted a really good start to Charmed.
Having Melinda Warren in the teaser at the start and showing her death, that was a wonderful addition. (Love that she stuck to true witch canon, where they were hung not burned).
I like the inclusion of Grams so far, one thing that really gives the sisters some much needed story, and I liked how she told them the truth on her death-bed. I like this much better than how she died in the real episode. I think Summer, did a great job of adopting it to fit this combination story.
The first episode of Charmed had so much potenial to be a two-hour episode, and combining it with Pre-Witched and the novel really proves how well this could have played out.
I really liked this! The first episode had such potential to be a two-hour episode, and combining it with the novel shows how that could have been done. And you included Pre-Witched, one of my most favorite episodes of the series. It fits seamlessly with the first episode of the show.
I'm really looking forward to reading past Act Two and the second episode/second part. I hope this member Summer Reading at the Cafe writes more episodes.
So far, off to a brilliant start.

She likes the Charmed books? Well, another reason for her to come here. I would love to discuss them with her (being the former Charmed Book Reviewing of the CharmedOnes.com site). And perhaps Adam could talk to her about them too. His idea of Charmed Book Club at the Cafe never got off the ground.

As well as the rewatch at the Cafe they're reviewing the novels also.

They are?
I know I can only see the Cafe once a week, but I haven't noticed any activity in the novels section.

That's because you need to look in the 20th Anniversary rewatch section.
At the moment they've reviewed the Power Of Three and Kiss Of Death.

Which I cannot do, because I'm not a member (even if I wasn't banned).
Any word back on whether Summer will join us here?

Yeah I did have an idea to review the novels and I guess at the time no-one was that interested, oh well.

If I had still been a member at that time, Adam, I would have been interested.

Its funny this topic has come up because I actually re-organised my books just yesterday including all my Charmed ones (here's hoping we get a new line of novels for the reboot), and the only book I'm actually missing bizarrely is the first one! "The Power of Three". Also annoyingly I can't locate my copies of "Shadow of the Sphinx" and "Kiss of Darkness", I know I have them because I remember buying and reading them, someone must have cast the vanishing spell on them

Yeah, that would be great.
You moved not too long ago. Looks like they got lost in the shuffle. Hopefully, they'll turn up before long.

Summerreading got back to me and here's what she had to say. Hello MelindaHalliwell, Sorry, it took me so long to get back to you. I have been very busy. I truly appreciate the offer, and are very honored and smiling that the board loves my story. But I'll have to decline the offer for *now* at least. With the Charmed Cafe being my first love, writing stories, and in the process of getting my FF.Net account up and running. I don't think I'd have the time for any new sites right now. I'm going to give you my FF.Net account: www.fanfiction.net/u/11996705/Summer-ReadingSo those who are interested in my stories and wish to follow, can reply and read here, and also can contact me here if anyone has any questions about it. Once again thanks for contacting me, and I appreciate it. Regards, Summer Reading

I understand what she means, now just might not be that time especially if she is writing more and getting her fanfic stuff going and the Charmed Cafe we know are doing their rewatches and novel reviews have kept her busy (too bad it didn't work out here at our board). She might when things settle down. As she said in her message. I'm excited to see her stories at FF.Net. At least I can review her stories and ask questions there. Eventually she might join once they finish their board rewatches and other Cafe projects they have going on in summer maybe.

Not the answer I was hoping for. Visiting the Cafe is not an option for me because I can't visit the Cafe. So unless the Fan Fictions there are also at an alternate site, they're inaccessible to me.
However, since Summer was kind enough to give us her FF.net account, I've added a link to it on the FF.net links thread in our Links section.
