Saw the first episode, and it was alright.
Katy Keene appeared on Riverdale in a cameo, where Veronica came to visit her, and we learned about her family life.
Loved seeing Josie again (who moved to this spin-off) as a regular.

They made Josie black, for some reason.
Odd, considering that, in the comics, Josie had a black friend called Valerie.

All the Pussycats are black in Riverdale, which includes Valerie.

Ah, that explains it then.

I like that this show is different than Riverdale, it isn't as dark and more fun.

From the little of the trailer, I saw on YouTube this show looks like it'll be light-hearted and funny.

The two shows seem to be in two different universes.

I believe they are in the same universe, of course, since Josie is in it, and we got mentions of Riverdale folks.
But it seems this series is set five years into the future from Riverdale. Since they mentioned Veronica had graduated college. Odd choice, but I guess they want this series to have a different feeling.
Maybe Riverdale plans to time jump after this season five years into the future and skips college as other shows have done One Tree Hill. Time jumps have also been done on other shows.
We'll have to see when Riverdale wraps up this season.

If they even plan to do crossovers, then a time jump for Riverdale will be necessary.

It really would be. I think a crossover would be a big draw card, and would be cool to see.

I read that this show is actually filmed in New York City.
Nice to see the CW getting out of Vancouver (this and the Walker reboot, which will be filmed in Texas).

It is such a refreshing change that they are doing this. It's interesting that it appears LA is the most expensive to film, yet they can film in other locations. Black Lightning films in Atlanta I believe.

And, as we said, the reason Jared signed onto the Walker reboot was because it's being filmed in Texas, his home state.

I love how this show tackles real-world problems, and people in an apartment with paying rent and bills. Something I really admire. Something shows set in New York like Friends or Sex and the City never did much with.
