In Bid Time Return, one of the reasons the Romanovs could be saved was because none of them were fated to have children, so no future descendants would have been de-existed by removing them from 1918, just prior to their murder.
I'm guessing that Sol Duga has a similar policy. They can only remove people from history just before said person's death, when it's certain they'll never have any more children?

Correct, otherwise there would be complications. They also either being people into the future who they felt could have great things or were unjustly killed, or go back in time to stop people from screwing up so they can accomplish great things. I've written both types, in fact the sequel to My Favorite Things has the organization bring forward Richard III. It works because his son Edward died as a boy and both his illegitimate children died young before having their own kids. After I'm finished with this one, I can start editing and posting the sequel. After finals I'll have more time since I'm taking online classes this summer.

As long as they get him at the end of his life. I guess they take him at Bosworth Field, right?

Yeah, right before the final charge. He lives with Ian and Skye since they're both Ricardians and he meets the Romanovs, he finds they have much in common with being monarchs. If I don't update this weekend, I'll try to update later in the week. I'm taking our mother out for Mother's Day, finals are this week and I have to get ready for my induction into the NSLS this Monday which will be an all day thing.

Could you provide a character list for your Sol Duga characters, and perhaps a bit of background on them?

I don't share my stories with many people, my family thinks they're weird and I'm sensitive to criticism. Plus when I showed them to friends, they were like OK, but it was to be polite. I just write for the LULZ at the moment, plus I don't want to be famous since famous people are colossal screwups.

Your family thinks they're weird!? Ouch!
What does "LULZ" mean?

For fun, I don't think I'm a serious writer. Thing is my Mom doesn't read much and thinks it's a waste of time since I don't make money doing it, she also doesn't like me doing volunteer work at church for the same reason. You could say I have a Muggle family.

You should tell your Mom that not everything is about money.
I don't write my stories for money, I write them for fun (and since my stories are about copyrighted characters, I couldn't make money from them even if I wanted too). And I guess it's the same for you.

I know, that's what happens when flees a Communist regime, one becomes a fascist or worse. My older brother likes my stuff and writes anime fan fics, but she doesn't mind since he makes more than me. This is why I don't write when she's home, she'll say I'm being lazy. That's why I'm looking forward to September when I get back to work and college and she stops bugging me.

Let me guess, it's the old "you'll have opportunities that I never could, don't waste them, blah, blah, blah."
Besides, you HAVE a job, so what's she complaining about?
If you want to write in your free time, you have the right to do so.

Thanks, Tim. It's something I've seen with immigrant families, they're much harder on their kids than normal Americans. I have trouble showing my work to other people since Mom thinks it's a waste of time and I don't write typical stuff, I'm content right now just to post it here for fun. Who knows how stuff would have been if my family were regular Americans.

Glad you post your stories here.
My family was never hard on me like that, mind you, we're from British stock.
