The actress starred as Phoebe Halliwell in the original series. SOURCE: Digitalspy.Com. BY STEPHANIE CHASE 22/05/2019. www.digitalspy.com/tv/ustv/a27561680/charmed-alyssa-milano-disrespected-reboot/Former Charmed star Alyssa Milano has admitted that she feels 'disrespected' by The CW's reboot of the fantasy drama series. In an interview with US Weekly, Alyssa, who played sister Phoebe, was asked if she'd ever consider reuniting with co-stars Holly Marie Combs (Piper) and Shannen Doherty (Prue). "I think that ship has sailed," Alyssa answered. "I think that they ruined the possibility of that by the way in which the reboot came down. "Like, the fact that we weren't included from the very beginning. It just felt really disrespectful, you know "It's sad, too, because I think we all would have come [together] to do something. [We] created that world. It would have been amazing." Alyssa's comments echo those made by former co-star Holly Marie Combs last year. "Let me say first that I appreciate the jobs and opportunities the Charmed reboot has created," Combs said. "But I will never understand what is fierce, funny, or feminist in creating a show that basically says the original actresses are too old to do a job they did 12 years ago. I hope the new show is far better than the marketing so the true legacy does remain." The Charmed reboot has just finished airing its first season on The CW and has already been renewed for a second. Charmed airs on The CW in the US, while UK viewers can catch it on Tuesdays on E4.

I wonder what happened to make her react that way... I haven't seen the reboot yet, but maybe she just doesn't like it?

Saw this at the Cafe. I'm surprised she says this now, and not a year ago. Why now, I wonder.
But I don't think a revival or reunion will ever happen, that ship has for sure sailed, and of course, getting all four ladies back together was never going to happen.
Still, I hope the four of them can set aside differences and come together for a reunion panel or event one day (Won't happen with half not liking each other).
And to be quite honest, I don't think I'd want one. Why, because they'll all get creative freedom and producer titles, and that means Piper will be Holly and Phoebe will act like Alyssa. No thanks.
I'll be happier just reading Fanfics on this stuff, and continuing my Charmed:RI series. We have more talented writers in the Charmed community, who can do better than whatever they might have in mind. I'm perfectly happy now with reading stories.

Where did this come from? Holly's dislike of the reboot is hardly a state secret, but I thought Alyssa was okay with it.
I guess they didn't mention Rose because they know she doesn't act anymore.
I don't think so, Alyssa. Aside from Rose's retirement from acting, there is the fact that you and your former co-stars all hate each other now. Good luck to getting you all in the same room together.
Call a truce of their feud for a few hours for the fans. That would be nice.
We saw those characters in the later seasons of the original Charmed. Would I want to see them again, ugh, I too say no thanks.
As far as the 1998-2006 version of Charmed is concerned, Fan Fiction is the best we're gonna get.
Works for me.

A surprising interview considering she seemed fine with it last year, I think she's lost it though if she ever thought there was a chance for them to get back together, she must know Rose hates her now and if she talks to Shannen then she will know her and Holly fell out, perhaps she was trying to act as mediator between the two? Anyone's guess really.
Kind of sounds like she's been talking to Holly.
I'm going to guess that they all thought the reboot would fail and now it hasn't they're getting annoyed because it promotes equality far better than the original ever did. And the worst thing is that by watching the reboot it really does put into perspective just how bad the original was for feminism, aka it had none.
Stick to talking about your sex strikes Alyssa, we only need one negative nancy and her name is Holly Marie Combs.

Stay away from Holly, Alyssa, she's a bad influence.
With a misogynistic caveman like Kernus is charge, feminism never stood a chance on the original series.
The idea for Charmed coming back had been kicked around since 2013. They must have at least considered the idea of bringing the original cast back at a one point, but realized quickly that there was no way that was going to happen, so they wisely chose the reboot.

I remember back in 2016 or 2017 that rumor of Shannen and Alyssa wanting a Charmed revival or movie with their daughters to end up on Netflix. And that was around the time both made up, then they wanted Holly attached, it didn't go anywhere. Makes me wonder, if they were pushing hard for it, but then the CW came back with wanting to reboot, so it never got off the ground.
This is most likely what Alyssa was talking about in this interview. I'm sure, they have pitched ideas, but the networks are not listening.
Like Summer said, Charmed the Classic Charmed series is better off being told in Fan Fiction, where the characters can be much better than anything the stars have planned. I have to admit, I don't like when actors get too much say, because they don't think about the characters in situations, but themselves, and we know how that turned out with Holly and Alyssa.
And the original series went to the horrors in S4-S8, but the early seasons are where the magic was, when the focus was on the sisters. I still enjoy the Classic first season so much.

As I said, the 1998-2006 version of Charmed is a dead duck.
