The line-up for Comic Con for this year is out, and Charmed is confirmed to not be attending Comic Con this year, and the showv was not featured on Comic Con's special cover.
Well after bad ratings, and being moved to Fridays, looks like the show isn't getting much promotion now. Oh, well. This is so strange, never has a show in genre like Charmed been left off the Comic Con recruits. But, yeah, I expect the show to have so little promotion from now on, this is just the first sign.

Yeah, looks like they don't care about the reboot much now, with promotion being little. Then again, Classic Charmed will always be held to higher regard by people.
Maybe S2 will change things, but they just are not doing the show justice, with not focusing more on the sisterly relationship, and more on their love lives, this reboot feels more Charmed S4-S8, than S1-3.

Seems they have every CW show except Charmed.
Not a good sign.

TBH, the show's promotion seemed to flatline and evaporate midway through S1. I rarely saw any new press about the show past last December. I guess the CW lost interest in the show after the initial controversies blew past and the ratings started sinking.
I have to admit that this show probably would've been canceled if it wasn't a CBS production. Even if you ignore the fact that it's a reboot, the first season was a mess, and the ratings reflected it.

Legacies is more popular than the reboot and has more attention, promotion and press than Charmed. Maybe they were better off being a new show not using the Charmed name at all. S1 is a mess. Re-watching S1 with the Cafe proves how bad S1 of the reboot was. I've always been curious about the reboot and the first attempt at CBS by the Party of Five creators. I strangely feel that one may have been better. Especially since they'd have let the sisterly stuff be the most important and having already done a show about siblings. I'd think they'd have done better than these writers.

Yeah, let's face it, the reboot was not the success that everyone had hoped it was going to be. And the reasons is the problems we've been talking about all season (the fast pace, too many plot lines going on at the same time, and so on).
Still, it's hardly the actors faults that this happened, they had no control over it. You think that Comic Con would still invite them out of common decency.
And to think that Julie Plec's vampire rubbish is more popular.... UGH!!

Yeah, it sucks Legacies is getting more attention, and looks like Julie Plec has the last laugh, we may hate her shows, but she knows how to hook viewers, with her same predictable plot lines. *Sigh* Me too Jean. I've always been curious about that first reboot attempt. Too bad, like the failed Xena reboot, they posted the script online for Xena. I so would love to read the script or find out what they had intended to do with that reboot. I agree, I'd have more faith in the Party of Five creators doing a Charmed reboot, because they have a good track record for knowing how to write a sibling relationship an d making that central, and no doubt, they'd do well with the sisters relationship. I have a feeling that one would be more Charmed S1 and S2, and not Charmed S5-S8. Especially if it started out on CBS as it was pitched. Oh, well.

Yeah, even I lost interest in the reboot very quickly. Doesn't suit me.

There are some out there that actively want this show to fail.
However, let us realize one thing, if this show dies, that's it for Charmed. It will be dead and gone for good.
I know that there are some that still hold out hope for a continuation of the original series, but let's be realistic here, that's a pipe dream.
For one thing, Rose will be unobtainable. She is done with acting and has shown no desire to return. Add to that her miserable experiences on the set of Charmed, you can see why the only way she'd be back on the set would be if one dragged her, kicking and screaming.
And, of course, half the original cast hates the other half (which may have deep sixed any 20th Anniversary plans). Good luck getting these ladies all in the same room at the same time.
Like it or not, the reboot is all she wrote for Charmed.

Yeah, even I lost interest in the reboot very quickly. Doesn't suit me. Yeah lots of people have. They have S2 to truly try again, if the show stays like it was in S1, and is still rushed, with more love interests, less sisterly moments and stories, and more powers for the sisters, I might give up on the reboot after S2. I'm going to still keep watching, but S2 needs to improve.

I still feel that the actors should be at Comic Con. It's hardly their fault that the first season turned out the way it did.

Yeah, that's true, and it's very odd for them to be absent. This is a first. Which truly shows how little they care about the reboot. But I've read rumors that Charmed might appear at New York Comic Con at the start of October. So it isn't all bad. At least if it does here, they haven't completely stopped ignoring all promotion for it, but still Comic-Con San Diego in July, is really the much bigger event to keep people teased and interested and hyped all summer, would promoting it a week out of its S2 start, help much? But some good news, at least the show is being released on DVD and Blu-Ray, they haven't completely ignored it in all things.

I hope this will be fixed in the future. The cast of the reboot should be invited to conventions, it's a nice way for them to promote the show.
Hopefully, if the show improves under the new regime, the cast will be invited next year.

Guess we'll have to wait and see. So far, the show has had zero news, like literally, nothing has leaked since the start of June with a few new casting news. Everyone else on The CW, I think has had so much press already.
Maybe we'll get some stuff in September.
