Nice that Joss Whedon is still actively involved with Angel and Buffy fandom, even though both shows have been over for a long time now.

Me too. I love how well the fandom has done and continues to produce merchandise years after it is ended.
It's too bad, the Buffyverse didn't get another spin-off out of it. I still cringe that stupid Vampire Diaries universe is still around over a decade later, with a second spin-off. Buffy truly should be that show and lasted longer. I still stand that Buffy was the better vampire universe than that one. I liked the early seasons of Vampire Diaries, but it got so predictable later.

I know. No Buffy, but Julie Plec's rubbish just won't go away.

Exactly right. When will it go away. I also hate Plec's bragging how good her shows are, hated some of the comments that she thinks her shows will last as long as Supernatural. I guess, she's counting when Vampire Diaries started in 2009. But why on earth is Legacies so popular, it getting more attention than Charmed the reboot.
But, Buffy is still popular with the comics and merchandise, and I don't see much Plec show merchandise. Their comic series didn't last long either.

Buffy is still remembered and loved, 20 years later.
Will Plec's shows be so loved in 2040?

I don't think so. Buffy is still so beloved.

Yeah, Buffy will still be love when Plec's rubbish is long forgotten.
At least I hope so.

I certainly hope so. Buffy has a big fanbase. Plec can say her shows lasted longer, but quality over quantity any day.

Believe me, Buffy will be remembered when Plec's rubbish is all forgotten.
Buffy has endured for 20 years, after all.

Yeah, it will be forgotten, quality over quantity any-day. She can brag all she wants about that she has more seasons and years, but Buffy has more long-lasting appeal compared to her shows, and the show has been ended for nearly two decades.

Hey, Plec, you're no Joss Whedon, you'll never be Joss Whedon.
If you think you can outshine him, then I wonder what colour the sky is in the world you live in.

It doesn't matter how many seasons a show has which appeals to fans it's how characters and storylines are written that do especially if they affect people in certain ways, for example, something a character may have experienced a fan might have also like some type of abuse, or coming out to their parents etc which they can associate with someone they've watched that's helped them perhaps.

Yep, and Buffy did all that.

I completely agree with this. Well said.

I've seen a new Buffy novel series is out, although this one is actually a continuation of the series, in a spin-off style, focusing on another slayer in a another city, but the Buffy characters get mentions.
