Tatiana. Smiles. Yes, Mashka, he's fine. He had another visit from our grandfather last night.
Maria: What happened?
Olga and Anastasia enter.
Anastasia: Yeah, what happened?
Tatiana: Papa told our grandfather off, he really let him have it.
Olga: Good for Papa.
Tatiana: Anyway, our grandfather got the hint. I don't think he'll be bothering any of us anymore.
Anastasia: Yay for Papa!

Later, OTMA are at a park, the older children (Tatiana's three, Olga's two, and Maria's son) are running around playing. Sam is looking at the babies at home.

Maria: It's such a nice day.
Anastasia: I hear you.
Tatiana: Well, Papa is thinking of another Standart cruise?
Olga: Livadia again?
Tatiana: No, not Livadia.
Olga: Where then.
Tatiana: He didn't say.
Anastasia: Finland? I always liked the woods there.
Tatiana: I'm not sure, Nastya. As you know, Finland became an independent country, like Poland did, some years ago. Unless Kerensky made an agreement with the Finnish government, like he did with the Polish one.
Maria: The one that allowed us to keep Spala.
Tatiana: Yes, that one.
Anastasia: Well, maybe... Breaks off.
Olga: What is it, Nastya?
Anastasia: Look at that. Some reporter is trying to take pictures of the children.
Sure enough a reporter keeps bothering the children.
Olga: Right, we'll see about that! Let's go!

The reporter is still at it, when OTMA walks up to him.

Olga: Ahem!
Reporter: What? Oh, it's OTMA.
Olga: Our friends call us, OTMA, and you are NOT our friend.
Maria: What the hell are you doing. Leave our children alone.
Anastasia: yeah, how would you feel if we came up to your children and starting taking pictures of them!
Reporter: Listen, we at the National Intruder have...
The moment the words "National Intruder" are heard, a volcano erupts, but, amazingly, it's not Olga, it's Tatiana!
Tatiana: THAT'S IT! Grabs the camera and smashes it to the ground.
Reporter: Hey, you can't do that.
Tatiana: WELL, I JUST DID! DO YOU REALIZE THAT YOUR STUPID PAPER ALMOST GOT ME KILLED! DID IT NOT OCCUR TO ANY OF YOU SO-CALLED REPORTERS THAT THE MOSCOW RIPPER MIGHT READ YOUR PAPER! YOU COULD HAVE GOTTEN ME KILLED! YOU COULD HAVE GOTTEN NASTYA KILLED! DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA WHAT EMOTIONAL HELL YOU PUT MY FAMILY THROUGH. DO YOU!!
Reporter: Hey it wasn't me that wrote that article.
Tatiana: I DON'T CARE, YOU'RE ALL THE SAME. YOU CALL YOURSELVES REPORTERS, BUT YOU'RE REALLY A BUNCH OF PARASITES,FEEDING OFF THE MISERY OF OTHERS. IN THE OLD EMPIRE, WE DEALT WITH SCUM LIKE YOU, AND RIGHT NOW, I WISH WE STILL COULD. HOWEVER, YOU LISTEN TO ME. The reporter, somewhat shell shocked, just nods his head.
Tatiana: NOW GET THE HELL OUT OF HERE!!
The reporter runs away as fast as his legs can carry him. Olga, Maria, and Anastasia stand there, their mouths open.

Olga: Okay when I said Mount Olga had a new friend called Mount Imp... make that two now!

Tatiana (they're all smiling at her): What?

Nicholas: What the hell? Begins reading the article:

It seems the Grand Duchess Tatiana Nicholaievna Malama, aged 28, has not escaped without scars from her encounter with the Moscow Ripper. This reporter, was innocently walking in the park, when the insane Grand Duchess, without provocation, smashed my camera and began yelling obscenities at me, even going to far as to threaten my life. Furthermore, her three sisters simply stood by and laughed throughout the whole incident.

It seems that Nicholas II has been lax in the discipline of his wayward daughters. It seems the term spare the rod and spoil the child is well represented here.

Nicholas: Sputters. What kind of garbage is this?
Alexandra: I'll find out. Calls Anichkov Palace and is soon talking to Anastasia.
Anastasia: I guess you've seen the latest National Intruder.
Alexandra: We have, now can you tell us what really happened?
Anastasia: Tanya saw that reporter bothering the children and went all Mount Governess on him. That was so cool!
Alexandra: You mean it really happened.
Anastasia: Well, the part about her smashing the camera is true. However she never said any swear words and she most certainly did not threaten his life. That part he made up. Furthermore, me, Mashka and Olga did not "stand by and laugh". We were too blown away to do that.
Alexandra: Can I speak to Tatiana?
Anastasia: Okay, Mama, I'll go get her. Hang on.
Nicholas: I guess Tanya's captivity with the Ripper might have had a bigger affect than we thought...

Tatiana: I'm here Mama!
Alexandra: What happened? (Tatiana explains) I see! Well as shocked as I am... I'm also rather proud of you?

Alexandra: Yes! You didn't just stand back and let it slide nor did you let Olga give what for instead! You handled it yourself!

Tatiana: She surprisingly isn't so mad! She says as shocked as she is that she's also rather proud of me because I didn't stand back and let it slide nor did i let Olga yell at him... i handled it myself! As she she more or less put it!

Tatiana: Probably... yeah most likely! That was weird... i felt empowered and such yes... but that was too weird for me! I'm not you Olga! I'm not one for standing up and for being outspoken! You know that Olga... you all know that!
Sam: Yeah but sometimes you have to do what needs to be done!
Tatiana: I'm going back to the roof care to join Olga?

Maria: She said something about being on the roof!

Alexandra: What are you planning to do? Sign Tanya up for Anger Management like you did with Olga? This is Tatiana we are talking about!

Maria: She's fine! I can't believe it... we're about to have three children already!

Two days later, everyone is at Alexander Palace, when Nicholas makes an announcement.

Nicholas: You've all be wondering where we're going on the Standart. Well, we're going to Germany.
Silence descends.
Nicholas: Well?
Olga: Germany? Why!?
Nicholas: The German Ambassador suggested it, and Kerensky agreed. It's seen as a gesture to put the past behind us. The war has been over for seven years, after all.
Anastasia: I'd like to go. Can we visit Darmstadt, where Mama was born?
Nicholas: That is one of our planned stops. Turns to Alexandra. How do you feel about this, Alix?
Alexandra: Well, it would be nice to see the land where I was born in again. It's been a long time.
Tatiana: Is it safe, Papa?
Maria: Yeah, what about all the trouble that Hitler guy was making a few years ago. That Beer Hall whatever it was that landed him in prison.
Olga: Where he was released after a laughably short sentence. He wrote that book of his, Mein Kampf, there.
Nicholas: It's okay. Things in Germany have settled down. Kerensky would never have let us go otherwise. We leave on Friday.
Dimitri M: No.
Alexandra: What?
Dimitri M: No, include me out.
Dimitri C-B: Me too.
Ivan S: And me.
Ivan K: Ditto.
Tatiana: Dimitri, what's wrong?
Dimitri M: Speaking for the four guys. The government may say the war is over, but we don't. Dimitri C-B and the two Ivan's nod in agreement. We remember the war, our buddies getting blown to pieces, our buddies getting bayonetted, our buddies getting gassed. I'd rather die than set foot in that country. You all go and have fun, me, the other Dimitri and the two Ivan's will be here when you all get back.
The four guys get up and walk out of the room.

Sam (all of OTMA gang up on her): What!?
Olga: We need your help!
Sam: With what?
Maria: The guys don't want to come with us!
Sam: So your father's chosen a place to travel to on the Standart I see?
Anastasia (rather excited): Yes... Germany! We're going to Darmstadt!
Sam (trying to act like she's okay with it): Oh! Uh... lovely!
Olga: Are you alright?
Sam: Oh yeah... yeah I'm fine!
Maria: No you aren't!
Sam: I'm sorry girls but I'm afraid i can't go either! I know what happens is some time from now but... I just can't!
Olga (Sam rushes out): Oh dear!
Alexandra: Was that Sam that just rushed upstairs?
Olga (as Nicky comes in behind Alix): Yes... it's turns out that we're the only ones going!

Dimitri M: They helped him declare war on us.
Dimitri C-B: That's why we can't go. We feel we'd be insulting the memories of all our buddies that died in the war if we accepted that offer from that government.
Tatiana: I guess I'm out too.

Tatiana: We'll just be a cell phone call away.

Tatiana: Well, we're all going to Finland, and Mama and Papa are going to Germany
Alexei: Cool I would love to see Finland again.

Alexandra: Apparently, he finally got his wife to agree to counseling. They're going to try and fix their marriage.

Olga (all of a sudden the yachts stop): Why are we stopping!? (goes up and finds Sam on deck) Why have we stopped!?

Below deck...
Tatiana: What happened?
Olga: We stopped to pick up Rodionov and Yurovsky! The Standart stopped to pick up Sablin!
Ivan S: Yurovsky? What about his wife?
Yurovsky (answers for himself as he comes down): They're home where they're at least safe for now!
Ivan S: Oh... good choice!
Maria: So how much longer until we reach Livadia?
Olga: Sam says an hour or two at the least!
Anastasia: I just want to be where it's safe!

Alexandra: I don't know if you've heard the radio recently!
Maria: About Felix... we heard it Mama!
Sam: I didn't as i was up on deck!

Maria: Like the schedules at Alexander Palace and Tobolsk when we were imprisoned!
Sam: Exactly that actually! (looks to Olga) What is it?
Olga: So we're practically on house arrest all over again... yay! Just what i needed... a repeat of a bad memory!

Tatiana: We don't even have rooms for... (just as she's about to say Rodionov, Sablin and Yurovsky, Sam of course waves her hands) nevermind!

Olga: Oh yeah just great! There's one problem though!

Sam: I don't know! (sees Victoria beckon to her) But I have a feeling I'm going to find out! (goes over) Victoria!
Victoria: We need to speak with you! Alice is talking to Nicholas and Alix!

Grand Duke (outside): You fool! You weren't supposed to let any of the royal family get hurt!
Dmitri M (rushes in): Sam we have a problem!
Sam (rushes out to the foyer): Oh my god! (kneels down) Hold on... just hold on!
Nicholas (comes out of the study): What happened!?
Sam (looks up): Tatiana's been shot!
Nicholas: Oh my...
Sam: Get everyone to the study... NOW NICKY!
Nicholas: Very well!
Sam (takes her hand): Hold on Tatiana... hold on!
Tatiana: I guess the future's already changed!

Sam: I'll deal with that now get over here! (rushes over to Alexei) Hold on... what doesn't kill us only makes us stronger! Thank god the hemophilia's gone! (works to get the bullet out twice as fast as she has to get her own tools this time) Come on, come on... YES! Thankfully it wasn't really at all deep! (she starts sewing up) Now we sew you up and your leg should be good in a couple weeks tops! (comes over) How we doing! (watches Maria sew up her husbands arm) You're doing good! (Maria looks at her) You did good... you should be proud!
Maria: I am!
Dmitri M (rushes in): Tatiana!
Sam: She's going to be okay! All three of them are!
Dmitri M: It's over! Thanks to the British Navy stepping in! Nicholas just sent a whole regiment of troops... Felix will be back in prison before dinner!
Sam: Oh thank god! I'm going to go and be there... I want to see the look on his face!

Winter Palace...
Felix: What's this... no this is not happening! You are all committing treason against your tsar!
Sam: No... that was you! You're the one who committed treason!
Felix: It was Alexander III! He let me out!
Sam: I know that now! Let's just say I don't think Alexander will be doing much of anything for quite a while! I hope you like captivity Felix! To quote the end of one of my all time favorite musicals... "personally I don't think you have what it takes! I hope you prove me wrong... I doubt you will!" Cossacks take him!


Two days later, at Tsarskoe Selo...

Anchorman: As cheering crowds watched, Tsar Nicholas and Prime Minister Kerensky stood in front of the reformed Duma, holding up the replacement copy of the Constitution. As for the traitor Felix Yussupov, he and his followers are back in prison. So ends the brief reign of "Tsar Felix I"...
Nicholas: Turns off the television. I think we know what happened next.
Anastasia: Yeah, the workers went back to work. They even sent a crew to fix up the bullet holes at Livadia.
Tatiana: Tries to get out of her chair. I'm glad things worked out for us.
Olga: Oh no you don't, Dr. Malama! You're staying put.
Tatiana: Olga, I'm fine, really.
Anastasia: What is that saying about doctors making the worse patients.
Dimitri M: Tatiana, they're right. Just take it easy.
Tatiana: Uh, okay. Looks over at Alexei. How are you feeling?
Alexei: Fine, it just itches a little.
Tatiana: That's to be expected.
Ivan S: Mine itches too.
Tatiana: That means your wounds are healing nicely.
Alexandra: I'm just glad all my children are okay.
Nicholas: Me too, Alix, me too.

Soon after, Nicholas and Alexandra are in the study, on speaker phone with George V.

Nicholas: I just want to thank you, George, for your help.
George V: No problem, Nicky, old boy. I wanted to help, I wanted to make up for...
Alexandra: George?
George V: I wanted to make up for 1917, I bowed to pressure and let you two down. I couldn't let that happen again.
Nicholas: George, we understand.
Alexandra: We're just glad you were here for us this time.
George V: I heard that some of your children got wounded. Are they okay?
Alexandra: They're fine, George. Thankfully, we had some good help here.
George V: I can guess who that was. Anyway, Nicky, Alix, I must be running along. Until next time.
Nicholas: Bye George. Hangs up. A sad look comes over his face.
Alexandra: Nicky, are you okay?
Nicholas: I can't believe my father is responsible for all this. I never thought he'd go that far. Tatiana and Alexei got shot because of him! Well, as of now, he is no longer my father, I disown him. He can burn in Hell for all I care!
At that point, Sam comes in...

Sam: Well Nicky... you may have gotten your wish! (As Tatiana tries to get up) Sit Dr. Malama... quit trying to get up!
Olga: You weren't like this when Erm... uh your leg was broken!
Sam: She has a point! Anyhow I heard from Marie... the three of them, her, Victoria and Alice made him back up from their ganging up on him and over he went!
Maria: Doesn't that mean if he's not supposed to be down there they can get him out?
Sam: Oh no that's the fun of it... they're leaving him down there!
Nicholas: Our prayers have been answered!
Ivan S: At least we're all together... that's all that matters!
Tatiana: I second that thought!
Nagorney (to Alexei): You sure you're alright?
Alexei (laughs): Yes Nagorney I'm fine!
Nagorney (remembers): Oh yeah I forgot!

At Dinner...
Sam: Nicky if you make one of those speeches I'LL have to shoot YOU!
Nicholas (totally ignoring her on purpose): Today a battle was fought and won! However there were some casualties involved but luckily no one on either side died! (Sam looks at him) I just want to offer my congratulations to the four who helped save lives! A doctor in her own right and the three... not one but three nurses that helped her! I especially want to congratulate Olga for braving all that blood this time!
Olga: Uh thank you Papa but that doesn't mean i may not have to run into the bathroom next time!
Nicholas: True! But you did wonders today... all three of you did! (Anastasia and Maria look at each other smiling) Yes I'm talking about you two as well! Speaking of I have a surprise for you two!
Maria (Nicky steps out): Where's he going?
Nicholas (returns with... what?): Since medical fashions have changed... they were jackets and such now! So Maria could you stand for a moment?

Sam: What's going on?
Tatiana: This! (she gives her an invitation) I've been invited to a medical conference! I want all of you to come with me!
Sam (reads it): Ekaterinburg!
Maria: Yeah that's where it's being held!
Tatiana: Oh please say you'll come with us?
Sam (looks to Tatiana then the others then back to her): Very well!
Tatiana: Lovely! So we're all agreed that we are ALL going correct!
Olga: Uh... yeah!
Tatiana (Olga runs upstairs): Olga?
Sam: I'll see what's going on! (rushes up the stairs) Olga wait! (knocks on the door) Olga? Is something wrong?
Olga: I don't want to talk about it!
Sam: This is about that morning isn't it?
Olga: We were almost killed! Why would anyone want to go to the place where they were almost murdered is beyond me!
Sam: Olga! We're not going to Ipatiev House!
Olga: Yes but we're going into the same town where that place is! Where that cellar is!
Sam: Olga...
Olga: Just go away!
Sam: Come on talk to me! Don't make me sic the Governess on you... you know the other part of the Big Pair! I believe her name happens to be Tatiana?
Olga: Just go away!
Sam: Fine... two can play this game!
Tatiana: How did it go? Is Olga okay?
Sam: No she isn't but she's not talking... so i threatened to sic the Governess on her if need be! So Governess you try talking to her!
Tatiana: I'll try!
Maria (as Tatiana goes upstairs): Do you think Olga's going to come or has she changed her mind?
Sam: I don't know! You know how sensitive your sister is... there's just too many bad memories and least of all that house!
Anastasia: But it's not like the conference is going to be held there!
Sam: Still just being in the same town where that place is or as she puts it where that cellar is... it's bothering her!
Maria: She's doing it again!
Anastasia: Doing what?
Sam: I know what Mashka means! Olga's focusing too much on the bad in her life instead of the good again! It's true!
Maria: That's exactly what i meant!

Upstairs...
Tatiana (at the door not wanting to come in if not wanted): Olga?
Olga: Not now!
Tatiana (at the door): Just let me in! Olga...


Olga: Opens the door. Okay, but I'm not going near that place!
Tatiana: You're doing it again..
Olga: Doing what?
Tatiana: Focusing on the bad things instead of the good.
Olga: Good? Were you even there!? Nothing good happened to us at that house!
Tatiana: I think Mashka and Nastya would disagree with you on that, Olga. Had we not ended up there, they would never have met the men they ended up marrying!
Olga: Okay, you got me there, Governess. But still, we almost DIED there!
Tatiana: But we didn't! The revolution failed, Yurovsky released us when the orders came through.
Olga: That's the problem, I....
Tatiana: You what?
Olga stays quiet.
Tatiana: Dammit, Olga, talk to me!
Olga: I.... I still have nightmares...
Tatiana: Nighmares?
Olga: Yes, in those nightmares....the orders to release us....come too late.... Suddenly, Olga bursts into tears. Oh. God....*sob*.... You don't know....what's their like.... I ....can... I can...*sob*.... feel the bullets tearing into us..... I can ....hear... the screams.... I see the blood....oh God, ....so.... much....blood!

Downstairs....

Anastasia: I wonder what's going on?
Maria: Well we'll soon find out. Here comes Tatiana.
Anastasia: How's Olga?
Tatiana: Not good, Nastya. I had to sedate her.
Anastasia: Why?
Tatiana: Apparently she's been carrying around some demons from Ipatiev House, and the thought of going back to Ekaterinburg has brought those demons to the surface with a vengeance. It's out of my field, but I think she's on the verge of a complete emotional breakdown...

Maria (her eyes widen with an idea): Tanya I have an idea!
Tatiana: What?
Maria: Have her hypnotized!
Tatiana: What!? Remember what happened to me when someone hypnotized me... and it wasn't Sam?
Maria: Duh... pull yourself together Governess! Of course Sam should be the one to hypnotize her!
Tatiana: It's a possibility! But we can't do anything right now, Olga's asleep!
Maria: Well we'll just wait until the sedative wears off!
Tatiana: Where is Sam anyhow?
Maria: I thinks she's in the study... either that or outside!
Tatiana: I'll check the study first!
Anastasia: I'll check outside!
Maria: I'll come with you!
Tatiana (goes to study): Sam are you here? (looks around) I suppose not then!
Maria (rushes into Tatiana who comes out of the study): We found her out back!
Anastasia: Yeah... she looks like she's concerned about something!
Tatiana: Thank you both of you! I'll go and talk to her about this!
Maria: Good idea!
Sam (as Tatiana comes to her): Hey! How did it go with Olga?
Tatiana: Not very well! It seems that Ekaterinburg holds some demons for her! She says she has nightmares of what almost could've happened... that she can feel the bullets hit us, she can hear us scream and everywhere there's blood!
Sam: Really now?
Tatiana: Really... but Maria has an idea!
Sam: Which is?
Tatiana: Hypnotize her!
Sam (looks to her): Is she serious?
Tatiana: I think she figures that since you helped rid shooting Ermakov from her... and let's not forget you got rid of those visions i was having that maybe it will work on Olga!
Sam: It could but unlike you two... it's going to take more than one session! She has so many issues that it's going to take more time!
Tatiana: Like?
Sam: World War I, work at the lazaret, her breakdown at the lazaret, your father's abdication, imprisonment, Ipatiev House, that cellar... just to name a few!
Tatiana: Actually i think you labeled them all!
Sam: I did... I was being sarcastic!
Tatiana: You're right... she does have more issues than me and Mashka!
Sam: You think!? Well if I do it i should probably start now!
Tatiana (takes her arm): You can't! She got so worked up I had to sedate her!
Sam: Oh that bad huh?
Tatiana: Yeah that bad!
Sam: Well there's always tomorrow... I'll talk to her and see what she thinks! If worse comes to worse...
Tatiana: If worse comes to worse what?
Sam: I'll take her to that cellar... literally! Sometimes you have to face your fears literally to get through them! Knowing how scarred she is from it... i may not have a choice! I want you three to be with your sister so you can overcome that morning as well... I will walk you four through that morning from being woken up to hearing that you were going to be killed understood?
Tatiana: I understand but that's only if we have to!
Sam: We more then likely may have to! Go call your parents and tell them what's going on... in fact we may have to go to Ekaterinburg earlier than planned!
Tatiana: Alright I'll go and do that then!

Nicholas: Alix, what's wrong?
Alexandra: Apparently our upcoming trip to Ekaterinburg has woken some demons in Olga. Goes on to describe what Tatiana told her. Olga got so worked up Tatiana had to sedate her.
Nicholas: Gets up. Pack a bag, Alix, we're going to Anichkov Palace, right now.
Alexandra: I thought as much. We should be near Olga right now. I'll go get Alexei and Nagorney ready.
Nicholas: Did Tanya say anything else?
Alexandra: She said that Sam is going to try hypnosis. She thinks that might help.
Nicholas: What do you think, Alix?
Alexandra. Oh Nicky, I don't know...

Nicholas: Well what I do know is that is worked for Maria but...
Alexandra: It worked for Tatiana too! Sam hypnotized her as well!
Nicholas: That's good for Tatiana and Maria but this is Olga we're talking about!
Alexandra: I know it's going to take some time but it is worth it don't you agree?
Nicholas: Yes... but will Olga?

Anichkov Palace next day...
Olga: No! Absolutely not!
Tatiana: Why not?
Olga: Because... it's... it's...
Tatiana: It's what?
Maria: Come on Olga talk to us!
Olga: It's... I'm too complicated! I don't need Sam worrying about me!
Anastasia: Yo Mount Olga... we're ALL worried about you!
Maria: Speaking of I got a call from Papa!
Olga: What did Papa want?
Nicholas (appears in doorway): He called and said that he and your mother and brother were coming to stay with you!
Olga: What!?
Nicholas (goes over and takes her shoulders): Olga... we're worried about you!
Olga: I'm fine Papa... I am! Enjoy your conference Tatiana!
Tatiana (Olga rushes upstairs): Olga!
Maria: We may have to go into Sam's plan B!
Tatiana: No... let us try the hypnosis plan first!
Anastasia: Why... when she's not going to cooperate and let us help her?
Tatiana (Maria smiles): What are you planning Mashka?
Maria: Remember five years ago when Sam wanted to bring back your bob and we like had to gang up on you to get you to say yes that day!
Anastasia: Yeah and in that same day... the bob DID come back!
Tatiana: Yes... I remember! (realizes) You aren't saying what I think you're saying?
Maria: Oh yeah... (looks to the stairs) let's get her!
Anastasia (follows Maria up the stairs): I'm with her! (stops and looks down the stairs) Governess move that chair up to Olga... (Tatiana just looks up at her) NOW GOVERNESS!
Tatiana: Alright, alright!

Upstairs...
Maria (goes right in without knocking and rolls a napping Olga out of bed): Hey Mount Olga wake up!
Olga (as she's getting up from the floor): Do you mind!? I was taking a nap... or at least trying to considering... well nevermind!
Anastasia: We know about the nightmares!
Olga: What do you two want!?
Tatiana (in the doorway): We want to help you!
Olga: I'm too complicated... did you not get that the first time i said it!?
Maria (boldly gives her what-for):


Maria: Olga, you need to stop hiding from this.
Olga: I'm not hiding from anything. Now will you all go away and leave me alone.
Tatiana: I'm sorry, but that's not going to happen. Mashka, Nastya, if you will...
Maria and Anastasia grab Olga and force her into the chair.
Olga: Let me go! Have you both lost your minds. LET ME GO AT ONCE!
Anastasia: Sorry, Olga, this is what is called tough love! They force her into the chair.
Olga: This is not funny!
Tatiana: It's not meant to, Olga. Unless you confront these demons, they will never go away. Gets a syringe out of her medial bag. Looks like we'll have to do this the hard way.
Olga: What's in that needle?
Tatiana: A new hypnotic drug that's just come out. You should go under in seconds. Comes towards Olga with the needle.
Olga: NO WAY, GOVERNESS, YOU'RE NOT STICKING ME WITH THAT. NOT GONNA HAPPEN! Begins struggling, but Anastasia and Maria hold her firmly.
Tatiana: Are you offering me another alternative?
Olga: Yes, you win! Get Sam in here!
Tatiana: I thought you'd see it that way. Be right back.

[Tim]

Sam (waiting in the hall as Tatiana comes out): What's really in that needle?
Tatiana (smiles): This? Just some sugar water!
Sam: Well that's one way to get her to cooperate!
Tatiana: Well when push comes to shove...
Sam: Exactly! (goes in) You two... out!
Anastasia: Do we have to?
Sam: Yes now go imp! (as they exit, she looks to Olga) So are you ready... (Olga gives the "not now" expression) or you can not drop the attitude and Tatiana can come back in with that syringe and if need be force you under! Choice is yours Olga!
Olga: You wouldn't dare let her do that to me?
Sam (puts a hand on both arms right over in her face): Do you really want to try me?
Olga: Do it!
Sam: I figured as much! (gets another chair and sits in front of her, she takes off the locket) Now focus on this as it goes back and forth, back and... (she's under) Originally I would start with the first issue but the issue with the Special Purpose House is more important! Do you remember that morning when Dr. Botkin came in?
Olga: Yes! He's telling me and my sisters to awaken. That they have to take us to a safer place!
Sam: So up you all get correct?
Olga: Correct!
Sam: Now you're all dressed and everything and then...
Olga: Then we go out into the hall and down the stairs! Yurovsky is leading us to that cellar room! We're told to wait there while he must go and get a truck and when he returns that he must take a photograph so that all of Russia will stop believing that we are dead!
Sam: Yes and then what happens?
Olga: We wait. He returns except that isn't a photographer with him... oh my god it's a firing squad! They're going to shoot us!
Sam: Do you remember what Yurovsky says?
Olga: Something about our relatives attacking Soviet Russia and therefore by the orders given to him we are sentenced to death! They're going to shoot and kill us! But...
Sam: But?
Olga: Hold on Yurovsky's get a call on his cellphone! Kerensky has retaken power and has ordered us to be set free! We are to return home to the Alexander Palace! Ermakov doesn't agree... OH MY GOD MARIA!
Sam: Maria? What about her?
Olga: She's been shot in the leg! However Yurovsky's pinning Ermakov up against the wall threatening to shoot him himself if he pulls another stunt like that!
Sam: How do you feel?
Olga: My heart is racing... I thought I was going to die! I thought they were really going to kill us!
Sam: But the truth is Olga... they didn't! You're alive, you're free, you're... safe Olga! Now I'm going to count back from ten to one instead of one to ten this time and when I snap my fingers you'll awaken alright?
Olga: Alright!
Sam: Ten, nine, eight... getting deeper into consciousness! Seven, six, five, four... almost back to the top of those stairs waking back up! Three, two, and one... (snaps fingers) Olga?
Olga (rushes out): I need to breath!
Sam: OLGA! We may have to do plan B!
Tatiana: I saw Olga rush down the stairs! How did it go?
Sam: I don't know if it actually worked or not but just to be safe... we may have to go to plan B anyhow!
Tatiana: Oh dear!
Sam: I know! I'll have your father get in touch with Nicholas Ipatiev and explain everything!
Tatiana: Good idea!
Sam: We'll get rid of those demons of hers somehow and if means forcing her to literally retrace that morning then so be it!
Tatiana: You're including us three too remember?
Sam: Yes and I'm sorry I have to make you remember as well!
Tatiana: It's not really us I'm worried for... it's Olga! You think she gave a hard time with this... actually going there is a whole other story!
Sam: I know! (looks to Tatiana) That's what I'm worried about!


Later...

Alexandra: Are you sure about this, Nicky?
Nicholas: Yes, and so is Sam. This might be the only way to rid Olga of these demons. The phone rings. That might be Kerensky now. Picks it up. Hello?
Kerensky: It's all arranged. Nicholas Ipatiev has agreed to let you use his house on the day you need it.
Nicholas: Thank you, Kerensky. Hangs up.
Alexandra: Well?
Nicholas: Mr. Ipatiev has agreed. Okay, the stage is set, now all we need are the cast. I have a few phone calls to make.
The first call is to Dr. Botkin.
Nicholas: Eugene, how is retirement coming?
Botkin: I'm enjoying. Tatiana is doing a great job, I see. I'm proud of her.
Nicholas: So are we all. Listen, I need a favour. It involves Olga.
Botkin: Olga? What's wrong.
Nicholas: This. Fills Botkin in.
Botkin: Okay, count me in. If this helps Olga, I'll be glad to help.
Nicholas: Thanks Eugene.
Nicholas calls Yurovsky next and explains the situation.
Yurovsky: What is this idea that your friend has?
Nicholas: She wants to reinact that morning at Ipatiev House. She thinks that might help Olga.
Yurovsky: Okay, I'll do it. You all gave me a chance, I owe you.
Nicholas: Thank you.
Nicholas then calls Anna Demidova, Alexei Trupp, and Ivan Kharitonov and fills them in. They all agree to take part....


Tatiana (wakes Olga up): Start packing!
Olga: What? Why?
Tatiana (Sam says not to tell her): We're going on a trip!
Olga: Another Standart cruise... already?
Tatiana: Something like that!
Olga: Oh alright!

Downstairs, Sam sees everyone enter except why does she look upset?
Sam: Nicky? What are they doing here?
Nicky: Botkin and them? They're here to help Olga of course!
Sam: They're wasting their time!
Nicholas: Why?
Sam: Because I meant just the four of them... alone! I want them to visualize it... not have it be that literal!
Nicholas: So you want them to leave after they just got here!?
Sam (looks to them): Actually no now that i think of it! The four of them, especially Olga will need all the support afterwards that they can get!
Nicholas: So you don't want them in the actual reenactment?
Sam: No... i don't want you three there either!
Nicholas: Where are we staying then, if you five are staying at the Ipatiev House for a couple days?
Sam: Hotel Amerika which is where the conference is being held in a couple more weeks from now! Then when Olga least expects I'll spring it on them!
Nicholas: Do the other three know?
Sam: They know... I just want to shock Olga that's all!
Nicholas: I hope you know what you're doing!
Sam: Honestly Nicky... so do i!

Next day they get to Ipatiev House, they're all standing outside...
Olga (looking at the house): What are we doing here? (looks to the others) You tricked me! You said we were going on another Standart cruise! Olga are you ready, Olga finish packing, (looks to Anastasia) Olga the Standart won't wait forever for you.... you all lied to me!
Sam: You think that's something... well you're in for another surprise soon!
Olga: I'm not going in that house!
Sam: Alright girls I think she's leaving you no choice!
Maria: Very well then!
Olga (the three of them gather behind her and start pushing her forward): What are you doing!? No stop! Stop... i will not go into that house! I will not do it!
Maria: Yeah, yeah quit fighting it!
Tatiana: You're going in Olga... this is for your own good as well as ours actually!
Maria: Do you think as much as I love Ivan that i want to be here either! Let's think about that shall we?
Anastasia: Same goes for me!
Tatiana: Me too! Now move it Olga!
Olga: You can quit pushing me now! (Sam holds door open Maria pushes her through) NO!
Sam (comes in and closes the door): Ipatiev has gone on a vacation... so we have some time! Olga you look like you could rest!
Olga: After all that pushing in here... you think!?
Sam: Well follow me then!
Olga: I can't believe we're here!
Sam: Believe it! (opens the door) Have a nice nap!
Olga (looks down to the floor where all the blankets are): What is this!? We have our camp beds!
Sam: Yeah but didn't the guards use them, while you four slept on the floor... just like this i may add!
Olga: You can't be serious!?
Sam: Oh I'm serious! Enjoy! (Sam closes the door) This is going to be tough... but if this is what Olga wants this is what she gets!
Tatiana: Did you show her the room!
Sam: Oh yeah... and she's not happy!
Maria: Well neither were we then either!
Sam (looks at her watch): Well since we're following the schedule of your imprisonment here... go out and walk while you still can!
Tatiana: We may have a problem though!
Sam: What?
Tatiana: There was a wood fence surrounding the house and the windows were nailed shut and painted over with white paint!
Sam: Oh that's right! That would really make this feel like back then wouldn't it?
Tatiana: Yes it would!
Sam (snaps fingers): Well then it's done!
Maria (comes in): The windows aren't opening!
Anastasia (right next to her): Yeah and the fence is back!
Maria: You're really going all out on this aren't you!
Sam: You have no idea! Now go and walk around outside... you only have so much time!
Tatiana: She's right... let's go you two!

Nicholas: I want to apologize for dragging you all here. It seems I misunderstood what Sam wanted.
Botkin: That's okay, besides, it's strange being back here. Didn't the local Bolshevik bigwigs used to stay here?
Yurovsky: They did. They spent most of the time getting drunk over here.
The guys come in..
Alexandra: Are they all set over there.
Dimitri C-B: Yeah, they are. I just wish I was there too.
Dimitri M: Yeah, me too.
Ivan S: I just hope Sam knows what she's doing.
Ivan K: She does, she even restored Ipatiev House to how it looked back then.
Nicholas: She did!? Won't all of Ekaterinburg see that fence back there?
Ivan K: No, Sam explained it to us, it's not really there.
Alexandra: What!?
Ivan S: From what Sam said, it's a realistic illusion that only our wives can see.
Nicholas: So they only THINK that the fence is back and the windows are sealed.
Dimitri M: Yeah, and in order for Sam's idea to work, we can't tell them otherwise.
At that point, Sam comes in.
Nicholas: Ah, Sam, maybe you can explain to us in more detail how this works...

Olga: I can't believe you three are going along with this! I want out of this horrible place!
Tatiana: Olga, it's necessary. You need to get rid of these demons, and Sam felt this was the best way.
Olga: Sam this, Sam that. Since when is she in charge of this family.
Tatiana: Olga, she's only trying to help you.
Olga: I didn't ask for her help!
Tatiana: Well you're going to get it.
Olga: No, I'm not. Tries to leave, but Tatiana grabs her arm. Let me go, now!
Tatiana: No, you are going to stay and see this through.
Olga: Mount Olga erupts. I AM NOT!
Tatiana: Likewise, so does Mount Governess: YES, YOU ARE!
Olga: YOU ARE NOT THE BOSS OF ME! IN CASE YOU'VE FORGOTTEN, I'M THE OLDEST OF THE FOUR OF US!
Tatiana: WELL THEN ACT LIKE IT FOR ONCE IN YOUR LIFE!
Olga: WHAT DOES THAT MEAN?
Tatiana: IT MEANS I'M GETTING TIRED OF CLEANING UP AFTER YOU!
Olga then hits Tatiana, hard!

Tatiana then proceed to hit Olga back.
Tatiana: I cang give as good as I get! In no time, the BP are in a knock down, drag out fight!!
Anastasia and Maria just look on in utter shock.
Anastasia: Mashka, are you seeing this?
Maria: Yeah, it looks like Sam's idea is not turning out the way she thought it would...

Back at Hotel Amerika...
Sam: I put a mind spell on them!
Nicholas: And?
Sam: And... they see what I want them to see! I really want Olga to be in that setting so that the demons of her past will come out and not only will she be forced to deal with them... but she can have a chance to fight back instead of still letting them control her!
Yurovsky: You are a very clever woman!
Sam: I try hard!
Ivan S: Hold on I'm getting a call from the Angel! (answers) Yes Angel?
Maria: Sam needs to get back here and NOW!
Ivan S: You sound concerned... (Sam goes forward) what's wrong!
Maria (you hear yelling and knocking into the walls, thuds to the floor): There's a fight and i don't mean verbal either!
Ivan S: Okay... I'll tell her! (Sam's gone) Too late she's already on her way back!
Maria: Good... I miss you terribly!
Ivan S: I miss you terribly too my dear! (hangs up) Sam is not going to like what she sees when she gets back!

Ipatiev House...
Sam: Hey I'm back! I just wanted to see how the others were... (hears the fight in the GD Room) settling... in! (goes down the hall)
Olga: MAYBE THE GOVERNESS WILL SOON NEED A NEW WIG AGAIN!
Tatiana: THIS ISN'T 1913 AGAIN... AH OLGA THAT'S MY HAIR! TWO CAN PLAY THAT GAME!
Olga: OW! BRING IT ON GOVERNESS!
Sam (comes in and finds the BP down on the floor, yells just so everyone knows she's back): WHAT IS GOING ON HERE!? (BP are not paying attention) HELLO DOWN THERE!
Maria: This is not good!
Anastasia: Yeah, Olga tried to leave and Tatiana tried to stop her so...
Sam: I get it! Help me here! (the three go in) BREAK IT UP YOU TWO! BREAK... IT... UP! You two... one get Olga and one get Tatiana!
Maria: Oh we're on it! Enough you guys!
Olga (as they're pulled apart): LET ME AT HER! I'M THE ELDEST SISTER HERE NOT HER!
Tatiana: WELL MAYBE IF YOU ACTED YOU AGE FOR ONCE... I WOULDN'T HAVE TO KEEP YOU IN LINE TOO!
Sam (yells just to make it clear): ENOUGH BOTH OF YOU! BOTH OF YOU INCLUDING THE GOVERNESS NEED TO GROW UP! (to Olga pointing to her then to one side of the room) You over on that side and (to Tatiana doing the same but then pointing to the opposite side of the room away from Olga) you over on that side away from her! (looks to LP) You... out!
Maria: I don't think I want to see this anyhow!
Anastasia: Uh me neither actually!
Sam (Olga's huffing and puffing on one side, same with Tatiana on the other. They're facing the wall with arms folded) Now listen here! I'm going to talk to both of you separately and then together and then we're going to fix this together!
Olga: Sam this is...
Sam: UNDERSTAND!?
Tatiana: I understand!
Sam: Olga? OLGA!
Olga: Yes I understand alright!?
Sam (to Olga): You, drop that attitude of yours real fast! (goes to Tatiana) What happened?
Tatiana: Olga tried to leave and I grabbed her arm telling her she was going to stay and then we got into an argument! I only hit her back after she struck me first! Then everything went crazy!
Sam: I see! (Goes to Olga) What happened?
Olga: Didn't you just hear it from her!?
Sam: Hey what did i say about dropping that attitude! What happened!?
Olga: I want out of this little experiment of yours!
Sam: Well that's just too bad! You need to face your demons and fight them!
Olga: I can't!
Sam: You can't or you won't!?
Olga: It isn't that simple!
Sam: Only because you're making it harder than it has to be! Anyhow back to topic at hand!
Olga: She grabbed at my arm and we argued and then out of anger i struck her! I didn't actually expect Tatiana to hit me back! The next thing either of us knew we got into a catfight! We've never done that before!
Sam: You're right you haven't! Go to the center of the room and sit! (looks to Tatiana) You do the same! I'm going to be the mediator between you two as you two sit facing each other! (everyone sits) Now let's talk!
Olga: SHE STARTED IT!
Sam: Calmly Olga! This is about making peace and reconnecting the BP not blaming each other and driving a bigger wedge in between the BP! Now we're going to talk this out! First I want you (looks to Olga) both of you to say something nice about the other sister! I want you to say what you love about your sister! Let's start with "What I love about my sister is... and whatever comes to your mind!
Olga: You're kidding right?
Sam: Now Olga! Speaking of... you start!
Olga (just looks at Tatiana who looks back): What I love about my sister is... let's see! What I love about my sister is how Tatiana's always there to fix whatever's wrong! How she can gracefully and peacefully get to the bottom of things without losing her temper and yelling back (finally smiles) unlike me!
Sam: Tatiana?
Tatiana: What I love about my sister is that she's always there for whoever is hurting! Like when the LP and Alexei were mad at me in the beginning... you took care of me and made me sure that i was okay!
Sam (they both look at her): Now striking the other doesn't solve anything... it only makes everything worse! Now this hasn't been so hard now has it?
Olga (smiles): No I guess not!
Tatiana (smiles back): You're right... it hasn't been that hard!
Olga: Tatiana?
Tatiana: Yes Olga?
Olga: I'm sorry... I shouldn't have struck you!
Tatiana: I'm sorry too Olga... I should have just kept it together like always and not struck you back!
Sam: There now... (the BP already hug and make up) nevermind I guess I don't have to say it then! You two talk peacefully I'll inform the other two of what happened! Olga in two weeks we'll be gone from here... at least try to confront your demons for your own sake if not for any of ours?
Olga (looks at her then back to Tatiana): I'll try!

Alexandra: Nicky, I just heard from Maria. Apparently, Olga and Tatiana got into a fight.
Nicholas: They had an argument?
Alexandra: No, Nicky, I mean a real fight!
Nicholas: You're joking!
Alexandra: Nicky, I would never joke about something like this.
Nicholas: But they've never gotten into a physical fight before. That's it, I'm shutting this little experiment down now!
Alexandra: Wait, Sam is there now, she seems to have gotten things under control, at least that is what Maria told me. Give it a chance, Nicky.

Maria: It's quiet in there.
Anastasia: You think Sam sorted those two out?
Maria: I guess she did.
Anastasia: Wow, the Big Pair in an actual fight. I never thought I'd see that happen.
Maria: Me neither. It's a good thing the National Intruder isn't here. Can you imagine the story they'd run.

At that point, Sam comes out of the room she's smiling...
Maria: Well?
Anastasia: What happened?
Sam (looks to door): Why don't you two find out... don't let them know you're there just yet though!
Anastasia: Okay!
Olga (LP look in quietly): Tatiana about what happened... I guess I just have so many issues that are painful that i just...
Tatiana: I understand Olga! Remember what Sam always says?
Olga: Sam says so many things it's hard to keep track sometimes!
Tatiana: Well one of the things she says is "What's done is done"
Olga (laughs): Or even better (mimics her) "It's done and it's over with"!
Tatiana (laughs back): Exactly!
Olga: I should apologize to her shouldn't I?
Tatiana: For what you said about her... probably!
Olga (hugs Tatiana): Let's never let this happen again!
Tatiana: I second that!
Anastasia (forgetting): We third that!
Maria: NASTYA!
Tatiana (her and Olga look to the door): Oh get in here you two!
Olga: Actually one of you get Sam!
Maria: I'll do it! (goes to find Sam) You're good!
Sam: I knew they'd work it out... just like you and Ivan did!
Maria: Yeah I remember those two days... you locked us in Papa's study!
Sam: It worked didn't it?
Maria: Yeah it did! Oh Olga wants you by the way!
Sam: I'm coming! (enters GD Room) Yes Olga?
Olga: I want to apologize to you!
Tatiana: We both do actually!
Olga (looks to her sister): What do you have to apologize for?
Tatiana: I was part of that ridiculous fight too remember?
Olga: Okay yeah that's true!
Tatiana: We both shouldn't have acted that way!
Sam: Well at least you're learning something from this all right?
Tatiana: Yes... well at least I am!
Olga: I am too! Now what I originally meant to say is... I want to apologize to you for something else as well!
Sam: What?
Olga: Before the fight I verbally attacked you asking since when did you think you were in charge of us and I didn't need your help... I guess I do don't I?
Sam: Yeah, yeah you do!
Olga (all of a sudden Sam starts laughing): What's so funny?
Sam: Oh I'm sorry... it's just... it's just that last part you said made be think of something!
Olga: A friend of mine once said...
Sam: Oh... know what I'm going to say do you? Okay, yes fine! A friend of mine once said and in my time there's a movie called Sound of Music based on her family... anyhow! She said it when her new governess came... she said "Earlier today I told you I didn't need a governess... well I suppose I do!" i may have been slightly off but the point is what she meant! That doesn't mean I'm trying to be the governess of any of you... (smiles at Tatiana) we already have one Governess and that's good enough!
Tatiana: Thanks... I think!
Sam: It's late get some sleep!
Olga: Okay... Governess two!
Sam: Ha! Ha!
Tatiana: Wait... where will you be?
Sam: Yurovsky's former office... there's a sofa there!
Maria: Good night!
Sam: Good night to all four of you!
Olga: Well that went well!
Maria: You two aren't going to do something like that again are you?
Tatiana: Oh no... one physical fight was bad enough! Do you think you can face your demons Olga?
Olga: As long as you're all here to help through it... (sighs) I suppose so!

Later that night, Anastasia wakes up to fine Maria gone..

Anastasia: Mashka? Where is she?
Tatiana: Sleepily. Nastya, keep it down, trying to sleep here.
Anastasia: Maria's gone.
Tatiana: Relax, she probably just went to the bathroom.
Anastasia: Well, I'm going to find her! Gets up.
Olga: Can't anyone get any sleep around here.

Anastasia looks for Maria and finds her in another room.

Anastasia: There you are!
Maria: Oh, hi Nastya. I was just remembering. This was the room Ivan and I came to eat that cake he snuck in. We were having a nice time, until they caught us.
Anastasia: Yeah, I remember. Mama and Olga were not too thrilled about that. Ivan was, technically, the enemy at that point.
Maria: Yeah, that is why Olga treated him so harshly when he came back into our lives. I thought she's never forgive him.
Anastasia: Well, you know how Olga can be. The funny thing was all that Ivan did was be nice to you. Olga was just too thick headed to realize that.
Maria: I know. In a way, Nastya, we ended up being lucky for ending up here. If we hadn't, we would never have met our Ivan's.
Anastasia: I remember my Ivan stating that he wanted to marry me back then, right in front of the other Bolsheviks. It's a wonder they didn't take him somewhere and shoot him.
Maria: Well, they were all like Ermakov, thank God for that. I still have nightmares about him.
Anastasia: Really?
Maria: Yes, but not as bad as I did years ago. Just the occasion. Looks around.
Anastasia: What's wrong, Mashka.
Maria: I was just thinking of that door his ghost came through. It was here somewhere.
Anastasia: Yeah, but that door is closed, when the Church blessed this house, it closed and locked it. He can't get through it again.
Maria: Well, I suppose we better get back before the Big Pair come looking for us.
Anastasia: Yeah, I suppose so....

As they go back they see Sam out in the back from one of the windows...
Maria (as they watch): What is she doing?
Anastasia: It's like she meditating or something! (Maria looks at her) Should we see what's going?
Maria: Yeah we should! But let's try not to bother her! (as they slip out into the back where she is) Sam? (Sam's sitting Indian style on the ground, her eyes are closed and each hand is resting on a knee, Maria kneels looks at her then looks up) Yeah i thinks she meditating or something!
Sam (only speaks): Shouldn't you two be sleeping?
Anastasia: Wow, she knows where here!
Maria: Yes but I was in that room where Ivan and I had that cake... Nastya found me and we had a little talk! Then when we just about to return to our room before the BP probably wanted to come look for us... we saw you out here from one of the windows!
Anastasia: What are you doing?
Sam: Thinking now good night!
Anastasia: Thinking? About what?
Sam: About stuff... like what originally would have happened!
Maria: Why would you want to focus on that?
Sam: I don't know... probably to try and get an understanding!
Anastasia: Of why our fate was changed and why we were saved?
Maria (before Sam can say it, she does making her smile): No she's thinking about why is it that the four of us had to be killed... if of course our fate hadn't been altered!
Sam: You are very wise and observant Maria!
Maria: I've had to learn a lot over the years I guess!
Sam: Yes, you have! Goodnight you two!
Anastasia: But we...
Sam: Want to stay out here with me? No, goodnight! Besides you need your rest anyhow!
Maria: Yes because around 9 we're going to do roll call!
Sam (smiles): Not everything is going to be like in your imprisonment! Just the schedule for being outside mostly!
Maria: Oh... nevermind!
Sam: Go to bed... both of you!
Maria (gets up): We're on our way! (looks down at her) Should you go to bed as well?

Anastasia: Wow... she didn't even have to open her eyes and she knew we there!

GD Room, BP waiting up for LP...
Olga (LP walk in): Where have you two been?
Maria: Originally I was in that room where me and Ivan had our cake when Nastya found me! On our way back we saw Sam i don't know mediating or whatever out in back from one of the windows. We talked to her and she kept pushing us to return to bed!
Anastasia: Yeah and as we approached her... she knew we were coming up to her and her eyes weren't even open!
Tatiana: Just because her eyes were closed... that doesn't make her deaf!
Olga: Yeah I wouldn't doubt she heard you two coming!
Maria: Got a point! Alright let's all sleep again shall we?
Tatiana: Good idea!

Next morning...
Sam (comes in, kneels over Olga and speaks very gently and quietly): Olga, it times to wake up! (Olga very slowly opens her eyes) Hey!
Olga: Morning!
Sam: Morning to you too! You start getting ready for the day I'll wake the others one by one! (Olga just nods, she goes over to Tatiana) Tatiana? (Tatiana stirs a little) It's time to wake up!
Tatiana (slowly wakes up and looks up): How long have you been kneeling there?
Sam: I just came over about a minute ago... Olga's awake and soon I'll awaken Maria and then Anastasia! (goes to Maria) Mashka? Hey it's time to rise!
Maria (opens her eyes and looks up): Morning already?
Sam: Yes it's morning already! Get ready for the day while i get the imp going!
Maria: Alright!
Sam (goes over to Anastasia): Anastasia? (gently nudges her shoulder) Hey young imp there... (she slowly wakes) it's time to get up!
Anastasia: Just five more minutes!
Sam (nudges her): Oh no you don't... come on wake up!
Olga: Should we throw a slipper at her or something?
Sam (looks up at Olga): Ha, ha... no! (smiles) IMP WAKE UP!
Anastasia (jump started): What? What's going on?
Sam: Good morning imp?
Anastasia (rubs her eyes): That was a nice way to wake me up!
Sam: Well you were starting to go back to sleep and if that didn't work I was going to let Olga throw one of her slippers at you to get you up!
Olga: Would you really have let me?
Sam: If me yelling didn't work? I suppose I'd have to wouldn't I?

Sam: Come on you four... it's a brand new day!


Breakfast time...

Anastasia: Well, I just looked out at the sun rise. Nice to be able to look out the windows without some trigger happy guard shooting at me.
Maria: Like that one time in 1918.
Anastasia: Yeah, where did they find those guys anyway.
Maria: That's true, our Ivan's were nice, of course, and Yurovsky wasn't such a bad fellow..
Tatiana: Now that we've gotten to know him.
Maria: But Ermakov and the rest, brrrrrrr...
Olga: I know. I get the feeling that Ermakov was not the only one who wanted to "have some fun with us." He was just more vocal about it.
Tatiana: We were lucky that Yurovsky kept them in line. Of course, that didn't stop them from drinking all the time.
Anastasia: Do you remember that awful graffiti some of them put on the walls, about Mama and Rasputin.
Maria: Don't remind me. I'm glad Sam didn't insist on putting that back.
Anastasia: I....
Maria: What?
Anastasia: I miss Ivan and Paul.
Maria: I hear you, Nastya, I wish my Ivan, Nicholas and Little Tatiana were here.
Tatiana: Well since we're all missing our husbands, I wish I could see Dimitri and my three children.
Olga: Me too, I miss my Dimitri and children too.
Anastasia: You know, that is one difference between now and 1918, back then we were all single, no children. I'm just glad we all ended up happily married.
Maria: Do any of you ever wonder who we would have ended up with had the old Empire still existed.
Tatiana: Probably some boring prince or duke. I can't even imagine marrying one of them.
Anastasia: Like when Mama and Papa tried to set Olga up with Prince Carol of Romania.
Olga: Eech! Did I dodge a bullet there!
Maria: Well, there was one young English fellow, I can't remember his name now. He was kind of cute, but I felt he was too young for me. I hear that he keeps a picture of me on his bedside table. I guess he hasn't quite gotten over me.
Anastasia: Of course, Mashka, Mama and Papa didn't really have time to look for suitors for us, the war kind of put a crimp in those plans.
Olga: Well, this is another reason to toast that the old Empire is dead. In this new Russia, we were allowed to marry men we really loved, not just some boring person for political reasons.
All Four: Amen.
Sam comes into the room...



Maria: Remember that one time while here... that guard that shouldn't have told that joke!
Tatiana (shudders): I remember! I ran out of that room in tears i was so upset!
Maria: You missed what happened after!
Tatiana: Something happened after? What?
Anastasia: Oh i remember! (smiles) Mashka gave the guard a good talking to!
Tatiana: Really now? Do you remember what you said?
Maria: Oh yes... just like it was yesterday! After you ran out crying i was so furious at him! I eyed him and told him (has to remember) "why are you not disgusted with yourselves when you use some shameful words!? Do you imagine that you can woo a well born woman with such witticisms and have her be well disposed towards you!? Be refined and respectable men and then we can get along!" Yeah... he kept quiet after that!
Olga: You have a good memory... and where was I!
Maria: Withdrawing from us!
Olga: Oh!
Sam (finally speaks up): Hell hath no fury like Maria when you insult her sisters! (they look over at her in the door) See here's the thing... Maria is sweet and gentle and everything but when you hurt her sister and in this case it's Tatiana... BAM that's it and she's going to let you know it! You don't hurt her sister and get away with it!
Maria (smiles): Exactly! I may be sweet and all but you hurt any of my family and think I'll just let you get away with it... HA forget it!
Olga: Isn't that what Sam just said?
Maria: I was agreeing with her silly!
Olga: I know, I said that to get at you!
Maria: Well ha, ha...
Olga (says for Maria instead): Ha! (Maria looks at her) What?
Sam: What exactly did you do all day since you weren't allowed outside... well minus you know!
Olga: This right here! We talked a lot, sometimes I would read, Tatiana would sew...
Sam: Some things that still have never changed!
Tatiana: How very observant!
Sam: I try hard!
Tatiana: Mashka would try to flirt with the guards and and Nastya well would just be herself!
Maria: Oh like you didn't do it too sometimes?
Tatiana: Yeah, yeah, yeah!
Maria: Yeah I thought as much!
Sam: Well soon it will be that short period of time for outside!
Maria: You're right it will be!
Sam: Oh and by the way... that english fellow you just mentioned is one of your cousins!

Sam: Yeah way! He keeps it's by his bedside until his assaination in 1970 something i can't remember it right now! It's this one (pops up the 1914 formal) right here actually!

Nicholas: Have you talked to any of them?
Alexandra: I got a note from Tatiana?
Nicholas: A note? What about using her cell phone?
Alexandra: Sam took the phones!
Nicholas: She's a smart woman! Anyhow what did her note say?
Alexandra: That things are now peaceful there, Olga is actually trying to cooperate for once and that we needn't worry! Oh and that they miss us all... Sam included!
Nicholas: That is nice to hear! Imagine what if Sam had never come to us!
Alexandra: I try not to Nicky!
Nicholas (smiles at her): Me neither! We will return in time for Olga's birthday correct?
Alexandra: Oh yes of course we will! Sam keeps that in mind... so not to worry Nicky!

Later that day, the guys are standing across the street from Ipatiev House...

Ivan S: I want to go in there, right now.
Ivan K: We all do, but we can't. If we did that, we would spoil it.
Dimitri M: Funny, but I'm trying to picture that stockade. I see nothing.
Dimitri C-B: Because the illusion is not meant for us. Only our wives can see it.
Ivan S. smiles.
Dimitri M: Having a good flashback.
Ivan S: I was just remembering when I snuck that cake in for Maria's nineteenth birthday. That's how she and I met, after all.
Ivan K: Dude, you were lucky you weren't shot for that!
Ivan S: Says the man who openly declared his intention to marry Anastasia to everyone. Heck we're BOTH lucky we didn't find ourselves in front of a firing squad!
Dimitri M: I wish I could have been there. When I heard about what happened here...
Dimitri C-B: Oh yeah, I remember that. You moaning without end about Tatiana, how you loved her, how you'd never see her again. Blah, blah, blah!
Dimitri M: I wouldn't talk, my friend. I heard you moaning about Olga a few times. Still it was almost supernatural fate that we both ended up working at that McDonald's when they all came in that day. I can still see poor Tatiana faint when she saw me.
Dimitri C-B: And Olga doing her impression of a statue when she saw me!
Dimitri M: It was just so great to see them again. When I thought that Moscow Ripper had killed Tatiana...
Ivan S: Yeah, we know how you felt.
Ivan K: I wish Sam would have let them keep their cell phones. At least then we could talk to them.
Ivan S: Maybe we can get a message to them.
Dimitri M: What do you mean?

Soon the guys are at the Novotikhvinsky Monastery...

Nun: Can I help you gentlemen?
Ivan S: Yeah, have you nuns been asked to deliver food to the Ipatiev House?
Ivan K: Like you did in 1918?
Nun: Yes, we have. Some woman arranged it, and she said the Tsar approved.
Ivan S: I thought as much. Holds up some notes. These are messages we'd like to send inside. Can you hide them in the food. They're just to our wives.

Dimitri M: Yeah, that's us. Can you do this?
Nun: Sure, I don't see any harm in it...

Sam (gets the "mail): Hey girls, yours husbands sent you letters! Why they had to put in the food is beyond me!
Olga: Thank you!
Tatiana: Thank you... wait what did Dmitri do?
Maria: Thanks... wait what happened?
Olga: Am I the only one who listened to what she said? Our men put the letters in the food sent by the nuns!
Maria: Why would they do that?
Olga: I don't know!
Sam: Yeah someone should let them know it's okay to send and receive letters... only this time they aren't censored! Anyhow read away!
Olga (reads hers): Oh Dmitri! He misses me and he just had to bring up McDonalds again!
Tatiana (as she reads hers): Same here... he also states that they didn't know what else to do!
Maria: Ivan states that they were unsure if it would have been okay! Did he forget he was a guard here?
Sam: Apparently so! (looks around) Where's the imp?
Anastasia: I'm right here... sorry was taking a nap! You said something about letters Mrs. Commandant?
Sam: Mrs. Commandant... nice one! You have a letter from Ivan!
Anastasia: I do! Thanks... he misses...
Olga: We know we practically seem to have the same thing written!
Maria: Oh Ivan also wants me to ask you about our phones!
Sam: No... they didn't let you use them then now isn't any different! Like you said... did he forget he was a guard here!
Olga (I have an idea, Sam hands the paper over): Thank you... WE are writing back letting them know it's okay!
Anastasia: Can we remind the LP's husbands that they were guards here therefore they should know how this all goes?
Olga: Gladly! (writes the letter with everyone watching) It is done! Now we can send it!
Tatiana: Then lunch and the hour outside!
Olga: Exactly!
Sam: It is done!
Maria: Good! I can't believe Ivan forgot!
Anastasia: Mine forgot too... though he was here through the whole thing! (Maria looks at her) No offense?
Maria: None taken since it's true! I think I know why your Ivan didn't get in trouble that day... you know when he said OUT LOUD that he wanted to marry one of the Grand Duchesses and if Mama and Papa said no that he'd sneak the Grand Duchess out?
Anastasia: Yeah... little did we know he was talking about me! What about it?
Maria: The other guards thought your Ivan was joking around that's why he was able to get away with it!
Tatiana: How very true... he didn't publicly express he was serious like the other one did!
Maria: Exactly and as good as that cake was... he shouldn't of risked his life for me!
Olga (looks to Sam and smiles, she mimics her): What's done is done!
Sam: Spoken like me... (realizes Olga just made fun of her) HEY!
Olga: Hey back!
Sam: Nice, real nice!

Dmitri M: Hey guys we have a letter... (holds up an envelope that has "The Guys" written on it) guys!
Ivan S: What? Oh you got a letter... what about us?
Dmitri M: See it helps when you listen... i said WE have a letter! WE... not just me!
Dmitri C-B: What's it say! (Dmitri M opens it) Ah it's in Olga's handwriting!

To the Gentlemen,
We are all here and we have received your letters. Maria and Anastasia need to apparently remind there husbands that they were guards here in 1918 so both of you should already know how everything goes. For the Dmitri's who don't need reminding... you don't have to sneak in your letters! Just send them and we'll get them... the normal way. The only difference here is that we aren't censored this time. Not everything is exactly the same but some things like the time outside after lunch, the walls and sealed windows, and letters are still as it was then! We can't wait to be "free"... and see you again! By the way we meant "free" as a joke hence the quotations! Until we see each other again!

Dimitri C-B: Well, now that we know we don't have to sneak in letters, why don't we write again. Also, we should get the children to write too. I know my two miss their mother.

Ivan S: Ditto. I mean Nicholas. Little Tatiana's just a baby.

The guys head off to write new letters.

Tatiana: I'm sure they did, and know they don't have to sneak them in. It was kind of funny they did it that way, right out of a spy novel.
Maria: Yeah, I know. It was funny. Clutches her stomach.
Tatiana: Maria, what's wrong? Should I get my medical bag?
Maria: No, I'm fine, just a little indigestion.
Tatiana: Well, that happens in the early stages of pregnancy. Still, I better keep an eye on you.

Sam: It seems the children wrote too... well those that can anyhow!
Maria (smiles): Oh how sweet!
Sam: So?
Tatiana: Dmitri thanks you for letting them know they don't have to try and hide the letters!
Sam: Well he's welcome! (the LP laugh) Are the Ivan's being funny girls?
Maria: Yes! They're like "duh yeah we forgot"... I'm just thinking "no really Ivan?"!
Sam: Yeah they're being funny alright!
Tatiana: Your phone is going off!
Sam (looks to it): Oh so it is! (answers) Hello?
Kerensky (voice): I've just gotten word... Ipatiev is cutting his vacation a little short!
Sam: Oh great!
Kerensky (voice): I'm afraid that means you'll have to cut your experiment short!
Sam: Don't tell me i have to end it!?
Kerensky (voice): No but you'll have to do it soon!
Sam: How soon?
Kerensky (voice): Within the next three days!
Sam: Lovely! Thanks! (hangs up) Great, just great!
Tatiana: Is something wrong?
Sam: Ipatiev will be returning... so now we only have three days left here instead!
Olga: Oh thank god!
Sam: Enjoy your relief while it lasts considering the main part will be coming soon! (looks to TMA) Very soon!
Tatiana: Alright... it's a good thing you're letting us know!
Sam: You're right, it is! I need to rest so... (looks to clock) take your hour a day only walk! That includes you too Olga!
Olga: I have been going outside don't worry!
Sam: Good!
Olga: I just need to write another OTMAS letter first... let them know what's going on!
Sam: Good idea... I still don't get the last letter!
Olga (looks at her): You don't get it? How can you not get it? Think... the only person in this god awful house who's name starts with S! Now who would that be I wonder?
Sam: Wait, you mean I...
Tatiana: Yes because after all we've been through and I mean the five of us together that is... you are very much not just an honorary Romanov but also an honorary sister!
Anastasia: I can already tell you Alexei would agree!
Sam: Oh that's sweet! Go on do whatever it is you're doing!
Olga: Alright!
Sam (as she's going to the former office): That's means possibly doing it this morning, or tomorrow morning! Maybe I'll do what would have happened this morning and then tomorrow morning I'll remind them how they're fate was changed!

Later...
Dmitri M: We have a letter from OTMAS again!
Ivan S: What's it say?
Dmitri M: It says...
Ivan S: What exactly does OTMAS stand for anyhow... I mean I know what OTMA means since that's our wives but what's with the new letter?


Dimitri M: Oh you have got to be kidding Ivan? It means exactly what it sounds like OTMAS, Olga, Tatiana, Maria, Anastasia and..
Ivan S: Oh, yeah, Sam!
Dimitri M: Ding, ding! Go to the head of the class!
Ivan K: Dude, it was so obvious.
Ivan S: Yeah, I guess Sam has become kind of the fifth Romanov sisters. From what I know, she's been around this family since Olga was born.
Nicholas and Alexandra walk up.
Nicholas: I just got word from Kerensky. Nicholas Ipatiev is cutting his vacation short. He'll be back in a couple of days.
Alexandra: That means that whatever Sam is going to do, she'll have to do it quickly.
Ivan S: What is she going to do anyway? Anyone know?
Dimitri C-B: Nope, she just said that this would help Olga get rid of the demons from 1918.
Alexandra: Well, from what I hear, she's done pretty well. Except that fight that she and Tatiana got into, that is.
Dimitri C-B: Fight? What fight!?
Dimitri M: Yeah, what fight?
Ivan S: You mean no one has told you guys about it.
Dimitri C-B: Duh, would we be asking if someone had. What exactly happened!?
Nicholas: Well, from what Sam told us...

Nicholas: Well, from what Sam told us apparently Olga didn't want to do any of this but Tatiana tried to make her stay! Olga slapped her and Tatiana retaliated by slapping her back and then they went at each other!
Ivan S: Oh yeah I remember! Maria called me that day telling me to tell Sam she had to return! She must have slipped out when i was still talking to Maria though... in the back i heard what sounded like a catfight!
Dmitri M: I can't see Tatiana physically fighting anyone!
Dmitri C-B: I can with Olga... well kind of what with that temper of hers!
Nicholas: Anyhow Sam set them straight! So now everything's okay!
Ivan S: Good to know! I can see it now: ladies and gentlemen... for your pleasure we have a sister versus sister match tonight! In this corner Olga Nikolaievna and in this corner Tatiana Nikolaievna! May the best sister win and knock the other one down! (everyone stares at him) What... just saying!
Nicholas: It's late, time for bed everyone!
Ivan K (looks at clock): Yeah I'd have to agree!

It's past midnight, Sam wakes up from an alarm she's set 2 minutes early then the plan so she can get ready...
Sam: Is it two minutes to 1:30 already? (another alarm goes off) Correction it is 1:30 AM already! Let's get this first part over with! (She goes in GD Room) You all have to wake up... we have to be moved to a safer place!
Olga (half asleep, her mind is totally in it): Very well Dr. Botkin!
Sam (whispers to self): Dr. Botkin? Oh dear! (she watches as they awaken silently for a few minutes then exits) I hope this is worth it!
Tatiana (to LP): Come on you two wake up! (she remembers this isn't actually 1918) It's time remember?
Maria: I had wondered if i heard Olga correctly!
Tatiana: Olga's half asleep just like she was that morning! Now we have to make her think Sam's Yurovsky!
Anastasia: She's going to completely wake up eventually!
Tatiana: Okay yes that's true!
Sam (in office): Forty five minutes... or there about! (sits) I hope they can ALL forgive me for this first part someday! (she peeks out the door to see them ready to climb down the steps, sure enough they come out... LP pillows in arms!) Here we go! (goes to them) Follow me! (they retrace the way to that cellar where the two chairs are properly placed) Now...
Olga (more awake now, looks around): What are we doing!? I don't want to be here... I really don't!
Tatiana: Olga it's okay!
Olga: You said you were going to help fix these issues not make me relive that terrible morning!
Sam: No that's tomorrow morning!
Tatiana: Wait... what!?
Sam: This morning is what was originally going to happen!
Tatiana: You never said...
Sam: I knew you wouldn't agree! Don't worry I'll guide you through the original fate!
Maria: I'm not so comfortable with this!
Sam: That's the point... tomorrow is the reminder of what actually ended up happening! The more we talk the less time we have... now visualize everything! Picture the firing squad behind me after just re-entering! Now I come in and interrupt and we know how that goes! Then they re-enter again (pulls out a paper) In view of the fact that your relatives continue their offensive against Soviet Russia the Presidium of the Ural Regional Soviet has decided to sentence you to death. Your father has asked him to repeat it. (She repeats it) He asks "What"? This! (she actually pulls out a gun and stops as they shudder) Don't worry it's not loaded! Anyhow... this! Yurovsky fires and then even though the others have orders only for a particular victim they fire at your father too! He falls! Stray bullets that have missed him hit Botkin breaking his legs making him fall! Khartinov and Trupp die! You huddle together in fear when (goes over and grabs Maria) Maria goes here to the storeroom door rattling at it and banging on it trying to open it... go ahead! Ermakov hears you points and fires... hitting you (pushes Maria down) in the leg! Ermakov now turns and points (she points to the chair where Alix would have sat) at your mother and shoots... the blast makes her fly from her chair (goes and knocks the chair over) like so! Now because of all the toxic smoke from the gunpowder some of the guns have to use... they exit! (goes out the door but keeps it open so they can hear her) They hear moans and sobs and know they have to come in and finish the job so they re-enter! (comes back in and points to a spot) Picture Botkin on the floor trying to get up, Yurovsky goes over and pulls the trigger... there goes the doc! Now he tries Alexei but of course the jeweled tunic is protecting him! Another shooter tries, Ermakov tries to bayonet him and that doesn't work! So Yurovsky pushes him aside and fires... your brother is dead! Now as they're firing at you, your lucky your jeweled clothes are protecting you! (See guides the BP to the wall and pushes them both down) You two are down here, holding onto each other for dear life and then covering your heads with your arms (guides their movement) crying and screaming in terror! You (grabs Anastasia) are down here with Maria! Demidova's near you! (goes back to BP) Now as Yurovsky and Ermakov comes towards you two, you two get up! Tatiana is in front of Olga facing her when Yurovsky comes up behind her and (aims right behind so she feels it at the back of the head) he pulls the trigger! Now as I help her down Olga screams! The blow seemingly has knocked you back so you have to try and stand again but as you do so Ermakov kicks you back into the wall (puts her foot ever so close to Olga but pushes her back down so no she doesn't actually kick her) and as you fall a shot is fired and you topple across Tatiana (guides Olga) dead! Ermakov goes over and tries to bayonet Maria but it fails and then a shot is fired... you're still alive by the way! Anastasia backs into the corner (she moves her) and she tries to fight back but once again a shot is fired! Demidova screams out loud she's saved... try again! Moving on to the end (looks at watch) It's almost 3 AM and they bring you out and bury you! End of story! (looks around at very upset faces) You four can get up now! (they proceed to) Tomorrow will be the same except in this case your fate has been changed understand!
Olga (goes and slaps her): THANK YOU FOR SCARING ME LIKE THAT!
Sam (hand at cheek): Trust me it's all worth it in the end! Now rest!
Olga: YOU EXPECT US TO SLEEP AFTER THAT!?
Sam: Then stay awake then... trust me it will all work out in the long run! I wanted to show you what could have happened but now didn't! I'm reminding you that this ended up not happening and that you're safe and you get to live your lives! (exits) I'm sure you know your way back!.



Next "day" Maria is in the bath room, throwing up...

Anastasia: Mashka, are you okay?
Olga: That's a stupid question. After what Sam made us go through! I'm surprised we're not all in there losing our dinners.
Tatiana: Arrives with her medical bag. Mashka, I'm coming in! Turns to Olga and Anastasia. You two wait here. Goes in.
Anastasia: I feel that someone has walked over my grave.
Olga: How could she do this to us? What the hell was she thinking?
Anastasia: Yeah, I fell ill myself.
Tatiana and Maria come out.
Anastasia: Mashka?
Maria: I'm fine, Nastya. Just my stomach acting up again.
Tatiana: I gave her something to help.
OTMA make their way back to their temporary room. Saying little.
Tatiana: Well, isn't someone going to say something?
Anastasia: I will. That is what our original fates were, not just us, but Mama, Papa, Dr. Botkin, and the others. They wanted to murder us all.
Maria: Like they did in France to Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette. They killed them all too.
Tatiana: Not quite, Mashka, their daughter was spared. No one is quite sure what happened to their son, the Dauphin.
Maria: Still, it's horrible to think about.
Anastasia: Why did they want to kill us? We weren't a threat to any of them?
Tatiana: I guess Lenin didn't want to take any chances. He really was an evil man. It's not only us I was thinking about, it's Russia. Can you imagine what would have happened to our country, our people, had the Bolshevik Revolution been successful?
Maria: I don't even want to think about it
Anastasia: A Dark Age, that is what would have happened. They would have cast us into a Dark Age.
Olga: Our children...
Tatiana: Olga?
Olga: Our children would never have been born. Our whole family would have been wiped out. What human being would do that?
Maria: If Ermakov was any example, then they were not human!
Olga: How could they hate us so much!? What did we ever do to them?
Tatiana: I don't know. However, you're right, Olga, our children would never have lived.
Maria: And our husbands? What would have happend to them?
Anastasia: I could imagine. Makes a slashing gesture across her throat.
They all shudder...


Sam (comes in): I just want to make sure everyone's alright!
Anastasia: Why?
Sam: Because...
Anastasia: No why did they want to kill us?
Sam: Oh that! Because you're the daughters of the then hated Czar! Because you had the last name Romanov! That and I can imagine that morning they didn't want anyone left behind who could rally a resistance to their authority!
Tatiana: It give me such terrible chills to even think about it!
Sam: Just think tomorrow morning will be different!
Maria: How?
Sam: I'm reminding of you of how your fates were changed!
Maria: Oh! Sam?
Sam: Maria?
Maria: What would have happened to the rest of our family, to our husbands?
Sam: Well your Ivan WOULD have been killed! Tatiana, Dmitri would have lost the will to live and purposely get himself killed in action a year after your death!
Tatiana: So he told me!
Sam: Olga's Dmitri i don't know about nor do I know about Ivan Kleschev!
Olga: What of Aunt Ella and them?
Sam: Misha would have been killed some months before you, then Ella would have been killed the day after you were! Your grandmother, your aunts Xenia and Olga and many others were able to flee Russia to safety!
Olga: Whoa! Just because of the name Romanov?
Sam: Yeah pretty much!
Anastasia: Now I'm just glad our fates were changed!
Sam: Me too! (goes over to Maria) Maria, are you okay? (she's shaking) Mashka your shaking! Come on (sits her down) sit down!
Maria: I guess all that just scared me badly!
Sam: Try receiving a vision of it actually happening! As long as you're all okay that's all that matters! Come on now it's time to walk about outside! I'll come with you four!

Nicholas: How do you think it's going over there?
Alexandra: From the letter I received today from Tatiana... let's just say I'm glad our fates were changed!
Nicholas: How so?
Alexandra: It seems the first part of the experience was to show them what really would've happened! Sam frightened them! (Nicky looks like he's getting angry) Nicky please don't get angry, there's a method to what she's doing... I believe that! Besides she writes that everyone is more okay now... a little shaky still but okay nonetheless! She writes also that tomorrow morning is going to be a replay of how our fates were changed from the experiences of this morning!
Nicholas: How does she do it?
Alexandra: How does she do what dear?
Nicholas: Everything! She has such... no doubt upsetting at first ways of getting her point across yet in the end it's all worth it!
Alexandra: She's just very wise Nicky! She knows how to push the right buttons to help people understand! I wouldn't doubt she's some form of Psychologist or Therapist or something in her time!
Nicholas: Dr. Samantha Cohen, Psychologist... Therapist? Not a bad ring to either one with how she helps people... even with the way she goes about it sometimes!
Alexandra (laughs): How very true dear!

In the Guys room...



Ivan S: I guess you guys read the letters about what could have happened.
Ivan K: Yeah, and part of me wants to march over there and put a stop to this, she frightened the Imp so badly.
Dimitri C-B: But you won't.
Ivan K: No. I know this is supposed to help Olga.
Dimitri M: So I would have lost the will to live. Yeah, that makes sense. If Tatiana hadn't walked into that McDonald's that day...
Dimitri C-B: Sam is wise, isn't' she.
Ivan K: She sure is.
Dimitri M: I'm just glad this will be over soon. I want to see Tatiana again.
Nicholas and Alexandra walk up.
Ivan S: How do you two feel?
Nicholas: Well, considering that me and my family would have been all murdered, I'm upset. When I first heard about what Sam did, I wanted to go over there and shut this whole thing down.
Ivan K: Me too.
Alexandra: But Nicky realized that this was for Olga's own good.
Dimitri C-B: I know. We were just talking about how wise Sam is.
Nicholas: That's true. This family was blessed the day she came into our lives.
Alexandra: Although we didn't always appreciate it. Remember 1914, Nicky. When she told you what would happen if you didn't change your ways? That you would abdicate and we'd end up there.
Nicholas: That's right! What the girls described is exactly what Sam told me would happen. Idiot that I was back then, I had her kicked out of Russia. Needless to say, I ate humble pie in 1917 when I was forced to abdicate.
Alexandra: I remember. But the point is, Nicky, that you learned from that experience, we all learned that the autocracy was outdated, and you got rid of it. Most of Russia has embraced the new ways.
Ivan K: Except the Children Of The Empire, but they're all safely in prison.
Nicholas: True, and it was those experiences that took place here in Ekaterinburg in 1918, that finally made me open my eyes to the truth...

Sam (looks at her clock after just waking): It's that time again! (goes out the door) Here we go again! (she walks into the GD Room except...

Sam: Follow me! (leads them to the cellar again) Let's just jump right to it! Anyhow... the orders are to take you back home to Alexander Palace! You're officially free! Speaking of follow...
Tatiana: Here let me help you up!
Maria: Thanks... (to Sam) where are we going now?
Sam: Outside first! (all gather outside) You get into the cars and then (snaps fingers making them outside the Alexander Palace) you are driven home! Come on, let's go! (they go inside) And so the great Romanovs were allowed to live instead! You regained your lives here... started falling back into the old routines! Except for maybe the official stuff considering you're father didn't have the throne still! Your father then officially got the throne back and took my advice from 1914 and had a constitution made that he is actually adhering to! (Goes to Olga) You see Olga... you have nothing to be afraid of anymore! Lenin is dead, Ermakov is dead! The people love you and your family and no longer want to see you all dead! You're safe now Olga! Can you understand that now... (looks to TMA, she gestures to them to surround her) can you all understand that now?
Olga (smiles): I think I understand now! Thank you!
Sam: This is what I live for... to help you! (looks at all four of them together) ALL of you!
Olga: Sam?
Sam: Yes Olga?
Olga: I'm sorry!
Sam: What for?
Olga: I shouldn't of slapped you yesterday morning! Oh wait is this where you say "No need to apologize... what's done is done!" now?
Sam: I don't have to... you just said it for me! I scared you to make you see a point... I scared ALL of you to make you see a point!
Tatiana: You were right!
Sam (knowing she is, she just wants to hear it from them): I was?
Maria: Yes... you said it would all be worth it in the end and it was! Instead of dwelling on that terrible morning...
Olga (finishes for her): We should just accept it and be grateful to still be alive! (TMA look at her) I love being the eldest! I know what my younger sisters are thinking... considering I'm thinking the same thing too!
Maria: Yeah, yeah, yeah... yay for you Olga!
Sam: Are you four going to be alright now? (looks to each standing next to each other from O to A, stands in front of Olga) Olga? (Olga nods making her go and stand in front of Tatiana) Tatiana? (Tatiana nods making her go and stand in front of Maria) Maria? (Maria nods making her go and stand in front of Anastasia) Anastasia? (Anastasia nods. Sam goes back to center looking at them all) Good... that means this is all over! (Looks to Olga) You think you can sleep now without thinking of that morning?
Olga: Yes! Now that i know that we're all lucky our fate was changed from what you showed yesterday morning... I know I'll be fine now!
Tatiana: So will I!
Maria: Me as well!
Anastasia: Same here!
Sam: Good! Now let's go (snaps fingers back to outside of Ipatiev House) inside and rest! Tomorrow we rejoin the others!
Tatiana: Oh I can't wait to see Dmitri and the children!
Olga: Same here with mine!
Maria: Can't wait to see the look on Ivan's face when he sees I'm back!
Anastasia: Yeah i can picture it now... "Look the angel has returned!"
Maria: What is with him and calling me Angel all the time?
Olga: Uh because you are one!
Tatiana: Yeah... why do you think me and Olga made fun of you all the time, knocking you down and such?
Maria: Yeah, yeah rub it in!
Olga: Gladly!
Sam: I bet the imp can't wait to see her Ivan and child too?
Anastasia: I was getting to that!
Sam: Uh-huh!

Next "day"...



Olga: Boy, am I glad to be leaving here.
Tatiana: Me too. I'm sure Mr. Ipatiev will want his house back.
Maria: It was nice of him to agree to let us use it.
Anastasia: Yeah, it was. It was quite a few days, of course, we had some interesting episodes, like the Dueling Duchesses here! Gestures to Olga and Tatiana.
Maria: Laughs. The Dueling Duchesses. I like that.
Tatiana: Very funny, Nastya.
Anastasia: Yeah, now that the tention is over, it is kind of funny. Lucky it didn't happen in public, it would have been playing on YouTube for years!
Olga: Ahem! Shall we go?
Anastasia: Right behind you, Dueling Duchess Number One!
Olga: Keep it up, Nastya, just keep it up!

Ivan K: When are our wives coming back. Shouldn't this be over by now?
Ivan S: Yeah, it is taking a rather long time.
Dimitri C-B: Let's go and find out what is happening.
OTMA arrives.
Olga: No need.
Anastasia: Here we are.
Ivan K: IMP! Runs over and hugs his wife
Tatiana: As Dimitri M hugs her. Wooofff! I guess you missed me.
Dimitri M: You don't know the half of it.
Ivan S: Hugging Maria. I missed those saucers of yours.
Maria: And I missed you.
Olga: To Dimitri C-B. How are the children?
Dimitri C-B: Fine, but they missed their mother.
As that point, all the children come in (except the babies of course)
Children: MAMA! All run to their respective mothers.
Nicholas and Alexandra enter. Nicholas is carrying Paul, Alexandra is carrying Little Tatiana.
Alexandra: Smiling. We figured these two would want to see their mothers as well.
Anastasia: They sure would.
Nicholas: Then here is your son. Hands Paul to Anastasia, while Alexandra hands Little Tatiana to Maria.
Alexandra: I take it all went well.
Olga: It did, Mama. Sam's experiment worked. I'm okay staying here for Tatiana's conference.
Tatiana: Thank you, Olga. That would mean a lot to me. The Big Pair are always together.
Alexandra: Sam deserves our thanks for this, Nicky.
Nicholas: I agree. Where is she, anyway?

Sam (gestures for OTMA to be quiet): Right behind you Nicky! (Nicky jumps) Oh I'm sorry did I startle you Nicky?
Nicholas (as OTMA laugh): Yes! What are you four laughing about?
Olga: We saw her behind you Papa!
Maria: She put a finger over her mouth to keep us quiet!
Nicholas: Oh I see! Thank you for making me jump!
Sam: No problem! (Alix hugs her) Uh hi Alix?
Alexandra: You did a splendid job I must say!
Sam: Thank you... I'm glad you see it that way!
Ivan S: I'd like to believe that it was destiny that brought us all together!
Sam: Yes it was! By the way I have something that i forgot to do at the house before we left!
Olga: Which is?
Sam: This! (she turns a song on) It's from Jekyll and Hyde... the musical i mean! But (looks around) let's go back to Anichkov Palace first! (snaps everyone to ballroom) That's better!
