Well we know why Sara wasn't in this one or the last much.
She's behind the camera. Caity Lotz directed this episode. So the in story reason is she's in Star City. But I also heard, that Crisis was filming when these were, so I can see why her role might be limited too.
Anyway, a fun episode. I was scared for John, and turns out our villain of the season Astra loves to have fun with him.
I loved Charlie having more of a role.
I see Ray wants to marry Nora. I hope they last.

Yeah, this was another fun one. Loved Nate going Khaaaaaann (you have to be longtime Trek fan to understand that one)!
They set it during an event I clearly remember, the handover of Hong Kong from Britain to China. I watched it live.
The only complaint I have is that the guy playing Prince Charles looks nothing like him.
And kidnapping Charles would not have prevented the handover. It was already a done deal, negotiated by the British and Chinese Governments. Charles's presence there was a purely symbolic move.
I guess this episode won't be well received in Mongolia. Genghis Khan is a national hero to the Mongolians. They think of him the same way the Americans think of George Washington or Abraham Lincoln.
Charlie mentions the loom, that she hid across the multiverse. Problem is that there is no more multiverse.
Me too.

I will watch and review this episode some point. The reason I haven't now is because something's going on with my old neighbour who has dementia which I'm keeping in touch with my mum about who's visited her yesterday and is today just to give a heads up why nothing's been posted yet.

Really enjoyed it, and Caity did fantastic for her directing debut.
I didn't like Prince Charles though.

I didn't like Prince Charles though.
Yeah, it looked nothing like him.
Aren't there rules against depicting living people on shows?

This episode did a great job finally flseshing Charli out, very needed, and an interesting backstory to boot, I reckon the woman Astra made the coin deal with is one of the sisters. And I really like Behrad as well, it was great seeing more of him, he has slotted into the team so seamlessly its honestly like he really has always been there. And weaving him more backstory via Charli was a smart play since we didn't know much about her until today. The scooter thing seemed a but over the top but they needed the product placement I guess? I hope they get to keep that sword, could be useful against future encores.
I also am really liking Ava this season, I've always been a bit luke warm toward her but I've loved seeing her in charge and loosen up a but more these past few episodes.

With the three CW DC shows, I watch I must say Legends has been better than Batwoman and Supergirl this season in terms of storylines and character developments learning about John and Charlie's backstories Behrad and Ava plus Ray and Nora's relationship all of which I've so far enjoyed and we're only five episodes in.
So Charlie might be one of the three Greek Fates or somehow involved with them concerning the Loom Of Fate which is interesting considering we knew little about her previous season only that she was a shapeshifter obviously.
Is the woman Astra dealt with one of the sisters herself?
Thought John was gonna die but he didn't thankfully. I like the snarky guy. Matt Ryan plays him well I think.
His interactions with Ray and Gary had me going there.
Gary must have a thing for Constantine because the way he acts and talks around him it looks like he does. The same thing with Behrad and Charlie which I got too.
I hope Behad and Zari both stay because I like their characters actually.
Prince Charles's role didn't impress me and of course, he didn't look like the real person.
Ray wanting to marry Nora's sweet.
I'm loving Ava so far her role with the Legends being interim captain and settling in.
The scooters scene was product placement I guess though that sword which got rid of Genghis was cool then.
Hopefully they keep the sword which will be useful in getting future encores.

Yeah, that bugged me too.
And, as I said, the handover would have happened, had be been there or not. His presence was purely symbolic.

I do hope, they consider doing some sort of episode showing Behrad during S3-S4 in flashbacks, since of course the timeline changed. I just feel like there's all this backstory of him being part of the time, we the viewers need to see. I do hope Zari gets her old memories back.
