X-Files without Mulder and Scully would be like Classic Trek without Kirk and Spock. It's just not on. Well put Tim! I'm with you Sunday. Well said, Tim.

I didn't mind Doggett and Reyes. But they didn't have the same chemistry that Mulder and Scully did.

Your right Tim. But I loved the female chemistry and friendship that Reyes and Scully had. It is why, and so happy to see she still cared for her and Mulder in the last episode, and went against CSM. I wonder if Smoking Man blackmailed her, and did something to Doggett, and why she stayed with him.
Although Robert Patrick was asked back, but they couldn't work it out with him on another show at the time.

And like Skinner, we're left with the question if Reyes is dead or alive. And we'll probably never get an answer.

That is the worst part of that finale, those are questions we will never have answered.

I know, right. I hate when a series ends with unanswered questions.

Me too. I hate that so much. I guess they were banking on more, but they knew Gillian was done after this, so they really should have left this as an ending instead.

Perhaps they could coax Gillian to come back for one TV movie to wrap things up for good.

I agree. 2023 is the 30th anniversary. Perfect time for one more movie to wrap things up for good.

And, in that movie, there are no loose ends left!

And, in that movie, there are no loose ends left! Great idea. Give us an ending with no loose ends left. We all deserve one. And if they did air a TV movie, they can have it air Sunday, September 10th, 2023, literally 30 years since it first aired on FOX, how cool would that timing be.

Talk about how it would line up well. I do expect they will do a comic con or convention that weekend of the anniversary for sure with the cast.

Hopefully, the cast would be willing to do it, if asked.

Me too. A one-off movie than a new season might be enough to convince them if they all know this is one that will wrap up everything with no loose ends.
William who plays Smoking Man will be 85 by then, so the poor man might be too old to do it, but they already killed his character off apparently at the end of S11. So maybe no need to bring him back.

Luckily, every one else is much younger.
And how about the Lone Gunmen, I mean we never actually SAW them die!
