The Winchesters boys are back to finally wrap up their last season.
In this episode, they discover that a wood nymph has been stashed in the bunker computer since the 1950's (when she emerges, she still thinks it's 1958). Calling herself Mrs. Butter, she becomes the perfect housekeeper. She takes care of the boys, giving them meas, and making sure they had good clothes before they wen out on missions.
However, there is a catch, if she sees that anyone is a threat to those she is serving, she will kill them. She sees Jack as a potential threat, and decides to get rid of him. When Dean objects, she locks him up alongside Jack.
It was nice, however, that rather than killing her, the boys manage to convince Mrs. Butter that Jack is on their side, that he is family. And that he will needed in the battle to come.
In the end, they send Mrs. Butter home to the forest she came from.
Truth be told, when I first head "wood nymph", my mind flashed back to that horrible, awful Charmed episode. However, SPN did it right.

That's what I first thought also Tim. I have yet to download and watch this then.
Will feel weird because I haven't done that or any other shows in a while of course.

WHERE IS EVERYBODY!?!?
The first new SPN episode in months, and I was waiting for the discussions to start. Yet there has been total silence from all the SPN fans here, except me and Katherine (and she only posted to inform us that she hadn't seen it yet).
We've been waiting for ages for the show to start it's final episodes, and, when the big moment finally arrives, everyone disappears! WTF is going on here?

With Thanksgiving and the return of the Charmed rewatches at the Cafe. Only just had time to watch the episode now.
I didn't mind the wood nymth plot. And the episode was fun.
I enjoyed Mrs Butters. Too bad she was dispatched back to the woods. Wouldn't Grandpa Winchester be in that photo?
At least the revelation that the bunker has been in Standby mode the entire time gives them an explanation for the number of times it's been breeched.
Was there any reason for Mrs Butters to like Sam best? I thought that came out of nowhere.

I'm glad they didn't have to kill her. Once she was convinced that Jack was good, she was okay.
Loved that telescope thing, in that it was supposed to see other dimensions, but it sees nothing now. Chuck's been busy.

Jana means watching the episode I think because Germany's on season 14 at the minute she said.

It was nice that she didn't die. I really thought she was going to be killed off.
Love that they addressed Mary's death. And Dean didn't just forgive and move on. It was realistic here.

Yeah, Dean's reaction was believable.
Of course, he's still gonna stick up for Jack.

Yes, more of he'll never forget what he did, and it will take time, but he will still support him as they get ready for their final battle.
