So John made the deal and will go to hell, and has five years. That does gives us a chance to figure out just when we want him to die at some point, if he gets the full five, or not, or something happens where he has to sacrifice himself and lose five years or its a life for a life. Exactly Kyle that's how I want death to be defined or the consequences associated with it if anyone resurrected someone whether they lose some years of their life, an innocent person takes the place of the deceased to reset the balance or a person comes back wrong like the girl Angela from 'Dead Things Should Stay Dead' as a Zombie so said person realises their mistake and doesn't make anymore again. I like those rules in place for ours like you suggested. I always hated that about Charmed, when by the end Piper had died and came back 10 tens was a joke.

I was working on this this evening, and am posting it now.
This one since John is still alive, touches on them dealing with John's deal.
And of course the canon episode introduced the Roadhouse, so this one of course, just acts like a normal episode. With Sam, John and Dean staying at the Roadhouse for a week, while Dean works on fixing baby.
Since the case in canon was not far from the Roadhouse, I touched on Jody and Donna being out of town. I did this, as I know we talked about wanting to use the canon episode for how Jody finds out moved from S5 to S2. And as I recall her son had died not long before the episode we meet her in, and then her son came back as a zombie and killed her husband. So I touched on that here, so when we write that one in S2, it can be around that.
Dean dealing with John's deal is touched on here, with some tension in him being mad at him still for the deal and his guilt.

Good episode Trinity with the subtle changes like John here barring the Roadhouse crew and Jody plus Donna mentioned dealing with the tragedy foreshadowed. I liked you touching on Dean's feelings about his father's deal and the tension surrounding them throughout which Dean would use baby of course as a distraction to work on than talk about that obviously. Bobby naturally would be mad also but understanding why John made the deal of course. Hopefully Dean works through his anger which we know he will do some point forth going.

If you ever need another reason to hate clowns, here it is (I can't stand them myself).
Good adaptation, Kyle. Nice to see them struggling with the deal John made and how they want to save him.

TrinityI enjoyed this episode, nice to see more done with John's deal from the last episode and Dean's feelings on it. Which his emotions will come out eventually I'm sure. I so get Bobby's reactions to John. I also liked that you touched on Jody and Donna here, with the tragedy foreshadowed, which will work perfectly when we do 'Dead Men Don't Were Plaid' in S2. Looking forward to whoever does the next one. Children Shouldn't Play With Dead Things would be a good one to have Dean work through his anger and issues and the comment what dead stays dead being said, and maybe the Winchesters visit their mothers grave where Dean wasn't happy to visit since no bones or body in there (which happened in the real episode), or maybe it's John and Mary's wedding anniversary so John wanted to go visit it. You could even bring up that Mary was a hunter, and touch on that more, maybe her grave stone is in Lawrence (I forgot if it was in canon SPN), so Missouri is in this one too.

Since we talked about Jody finding out the truth in 'Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid' moved from S5 to S2 and now 'Children Shouldn't Play With Dead Things'. I wonder if you could find a way to combine the two episodes, since both deal with Zombies, or perhaps the Winchesters are off on their way which has Dean's anger at John coming out and being resolved, while in Sioux Falls, The Roadhouse crew are the ones to deal with the zombies there, and Jody and Donna, with Bobby's wife brought back too, which causes conflict with him and Ellen, maybe Bobby has been secretly meeting her and didn't tell everybody, but then Bobby's wife tries to kill Ellen, so she can have Bobby all to herself, and that's when they set things right.

Jackie, I really like these ideas. What a great way to make a Zombie themed episode, perfect for our Halloween episode for S2. Would this one work as a two-part episode perhaps, you have enough material to make it into two parts?

Yeah, it does have enough for two parts perhaps.
