I didn't read any if the books but the name bobbsey and the fact that their twins just screams book characters lol
I'm guessing maybe Gilbert might be a Potential LI for Nancy as he's a bit of a rougish thief.
This is why I love Nancy. She may drag her friends into messes but it’s usually from a good-hearted attempt to help people but she’s also incredibly brave.
Overall really enjoyed the premiere.. Ace had some great lines as usual.. Looking forward to the new mystery and season

The show felt more darker. In fact, they really made it scarier. The stuff with the wraith was super well done. That thing was terrifying. Felt like Supernatural.
I liked all the friendship moments with the Drew Crew. It was nice to see them just being together.
The flashback scene to pre-pilot felt like a nice little recap of their relationships. They seem to throw a bone to the Nick/Nancy fans, but it was just a plot device for Nick/George's relationship.

I got SPN vibes as well. Of course, the Winchester boys are used to handling stuff like this. On the other hand, the Drew Crew (love that name) are hopelessly out of their depths here. It was sheer luck that Nancy found the one weakness the wraith had (fire) that allowed her to escape.
And the Aglaeca is still after them. They tried to get rid of the things that they died on, in the visions, but it didn't work. The things kept coming back. And considering that Bess will burn, that does not apply.
Nancy is still angry with Carson. Once again she calls him "Carson", not "dad". She clearly wants nothing to do with him.
I guess my question if Carson and Kate Drew legally adopted Nancy has been answered. Ryan Hudson tells Carson that he could have him charged with kidnapping (if he didn't back off and leave Nancy alone). This is true. Carson and Kate technically kidnapped baby Nancy.
Nick and George really need to tell Nancy that they've started a relationship. Of course, with everything going on...
Liked Ace's reaction too. He doesn't want to die, but he also doesn't want to lose any of his friends.
An excellent premier, IMO.

So it wasn't just me who felt SPN vibes too. A really good premier, and the critics agreed, and graded this as an A. If I was grading, I'll give this one an A too.  |
