Loved the second episode, and starting to love the characters more and more, and connecting with them. The show is definitely finding its footing and gave us a lot more depth with most of the characters I loved seeing Emily in the flashbacks, she is more than just Walkers wife. So I loved seeing her and her son. Still think they casted August so very well, he looks so much like Jared, the actor. It became striking to me that while the extended family (understandably) really came to support and care for Stella and August, Walker himself seemed to get dismissed more than a bit. He got criticized for not immediately recognizing that maybe his kids didn't want to return to their old home and for not automatically knowing about the routines that they had set up with their uncle. But this is good drama, and it adds to the show. Walker was really making some serious effort. Leaving the home that he'd lived with his wife and family had to be hard for him, but it seemed to be what was best for the kids. While I hate using text messages as a substitute for dialogue (I hate that in real life), I'll admit that it did it work very well in this scene since that seemed to be the only way he was able to reach his daughter. Walker's dad giving him a new saddle at the end had some nice symbolism -Walker can't be carrying around the baggage of his wife's death all the time. I liked seeing his parents relationship a little. I'm also really liked the scene where Walker found the horse and was investigating. I can't wait to see Jared ride more horses on the show.

Yeah, I know. The show is just as much about the Walker family as it is about Walker himself.

Loved the second episode, and starting to love the characters more and more, and connecting with them. The show is definitely finding its footing and gave us a lot more depth with most of the characters I feel the same way. I know most are just hoping/wanting to watch the fights and such, but as much as the original was great, it lacked real character stuff. OG Walker had no family, here he does. I loved seeing Emily in the flashbacks, she is more than just Walkers wife. So I loved seeing her and her son. Still think they casted August so very well, he looks so much like Jared, the actor. Yeah, she'd have scenes with others than just her husband. She will no doubt get stories with Geri soon, since she was with her when she died. I'm sure her backstory will be expanded more and more in episodes. Even though she's dead, she's such a big presence in the show, most shows once the wife dies, she's not seen or heard from again, and the character moves on. Yeah, it really was. I liked that.

I really enjoyed this episode.
I actually like Micki and Trey, as they are enjoyable together and the actors have great chemistry. I hope they do not get rid of Trey too quickly, which is typical, but I don't see Walker getting with her or anybody anytime soon for sure, he misses his wife. He'll grieve, or I hope so for at least a couple of seasons.
I also think Jared is doing a good job in this role. I can see him as the grieving husband and father.
The scene where Stella broke the stone was hard to watch and I felt her pain. I also liked the scene between her and Walker in the kitchen texting, and August is a character that you just want to hug. He's clearly hurting a lot but he keeps it all bottled up and it makes me sad. He is such a sweet kid, and I love how much he loves his dad, and I really think they cast him so well to be Jared's son on the show.

Yeah, I know. The show is just as much about the Walker family as it is about Walker himself.
And that makes this show more interesting. The original I hear was really just case of the week, with Walker and his team. Did it have any arcs or stories at all?

Yeah, that scene was really sad, but I loved how Walker and Stella were bonding in this episode.
I still love how August loves his dad so much, but I do think he is bottling up some anger, which is going to com out. Like his mother said, both father and son are alike with their feelings.

Me too, I'm enjoying the family aspect to the show.

No, but there were recurring characters and such. And sometimes an episode would touch on, or refer to, past episode.

Yeah, very interesting episode. The kids could reconnect a bit with their Dad and their dad with his own parents. Jesus, sounded strange even in my ears. lol Anyway, nice when Micki got to trust her instincts and her partner trusting her. And their morgue lady is also a hacker. Nice twist and cool, btw. Well, at least it solved the case. And Trey being so nice to his lady. With Superman custome and Lady Libertad. Ah, just sweet. New episodes then later, along with Superman & Lois, I think.

Try to do my best here and this break helps me here. When there's nothing on TV, I'm watching online as well as on my PC shows.
