Okay then Tim.

It is fun, taking ideas and putting them together like this.
A few years ago, I merged the world of Rex and Hannah with H.P. Lovecraft, and never looked back.

Oh, I know. And I think it was one of the best ideas you've done yet. I applaud you, as it takes a lot of work to create something like what you've done with Rex and Hannah. I've just finished "Outbreak", and when I read in the chapter before that Rex and Hannah got married..I literally sprung tears.

I'm glad you enjoyed the wedding, Matt. Halloween has always been my favourite holiday, so it was fitting that R&H got married on that day. I always write a R&H Halloween story.
I noticed is that many of Mr. Lovecraft's stories are first person narratives, and, in a few cases, the narrator is never named! So I had to make one up whenever said character was referenced in my R&H stories. A lot of my R&H stories are sequels, of sorts, to the Lovecraft stories. Since many of the Lovecraft stories had open endings, I just had R&H come in and continue the story, a century later.

Well I've just now finished binge-reading the R&H chronicles Friday since it was an early-release day at school. So I was able to finish the chronicles up to last story, "A Halloween Road Trip". I'm in love with the stories and hope that you continue it as I would love to see how Rex and Hannah deal with the Old One, Hastur.
Because of the R&H chronicles, this is the first time I'd ever heard of H.P. Lovecraft (to my knowledge, its possible I've probably heard, seen or read about it sometime before discovering the stories). And I'm going to sit down over the summer and read some of his works as it has gotten me very intrigued in his works. So I have to thank you, Tim, for introducing me to H.P. Lovecraft, indirectly through the R&H chronicles. You've provided me something to do over the summer so I'm not bored while I'm at home. Lol.

Thanks, Matt.
I'm glad to have gotten you interested in the works of Mr. Lovecraft. I had great fun integrating R&H into his world.
I should be starting my next story before long. I have the idea, now I just need to get it all down. It will be a sequel, of sorts, to Mr. Lovecraft's story, The Rats In The Walls.

Well, I'll be waiting to read it! Hope it all goes well!

I should be starting it before long.
I even brought Matthew Tate, from The Witch Is Back, into the fray. Of course, he was just a pawn of Hastur. In the end, poor Matthew was driven incurably insane by seeing Hastur's face.

Like I said I'll be waiting to read it!
Yeah I thought that was cool, how you brought him back. Though if I must be honest, I definitely did not expect for him to end up where he is currently. As I got to the parts where Rex and Hannah tried to explain things to him about what had happened since he'd been gone, I had "predicted" that he would've joined forces with Rex and Hannah since Matthew was in a fact a warlock as well. You'd think he would be also be accepting of not being cannon-fodder. However, you're path for him was better than my cheesy prediction. Not everyone gets to have a happy ending like Rex and Hannah, some do but some don't.

Yeah, poor Matthew was, in the end, a victim.
Ironically, he might have joined Rex and Hannah, had he not decided to go and confront Hastur himself. Matthew just didn't know what he was dealing with (in Lovecraft stories, just merely seeing an Old One up close and personal would drive humans insane).
I do plan for Rex and Hannah to find out what happened to Matthew and they'll be visiting him. Despite what he did, he is one of their own, after all.

Don't tell me too much, I want their reaction of finding him to be a surprise.
Also, its kind of funny how Matthew was evil and thought that he was invincible and all, but he ends up being driven insane from looking at an Old One and falls victim to his own side.
I also bet Melinda Warren is rolling around on her cloud and laughing so hard with tears streaming down her face from Matthew's predicament, considering how much he betrayed her and was the reason she had sent to burn.
I always wonder what she, along with Penny, Patty and Prue would always say or do, or even remark about what the Charmed Ones had gotten into in their hey-day. Yes, we saw Penny and Patty a good bit, but only when they were needed. I've always wondered how like in "Its a Bad Bad Bad Bad World" what an evil Prue, Patty and Penny would've been like..you know?

Sorry about that.
Actually the Old Ones are not on either side. Good and Evil had to join forces to battle the Old Ones, some five thousand years earlier. And even then they couldn't destroy the Old Ones, all they could do was lock them away in an empty dimension.
And if the Old Ones ever get out, both Good and Evil will be destroyed by them.
I think that Melinda wouldn't wish Hastur on anyone. She's much better than that.

1. You're fine, you haven't spoiled anything.
2. Ah, so they're neutral? I'm still confused...the future that Rex and Hannah went to..the Old Ones had destroyed the world and killed all beings. So aren't they technically evil? Or was that future just a possibility of what could happen if the Old Ones escaped, meaning they could end up being bad or good?
3. I meant that she might be laughing at how things turned out for Matthew Tate, ending up insane in an institution..of course she wouldn't wish Hastur on anyone but like she'd might laugh for a minute or so...I don't know..I probably not making sense anymore..one could wonder what the spirits do in the afterlife of the Charmed & R&H universe(s).

Yeah, they're evil. What I meant was that they are not on the side of Evil, in the Source and such. That possible future that R&H were in (Death's Dominion), the Old Ones killed all the Demons, as well as the White Lighters.
I don't know if you caught this, but Hastur is the one who created both the Hollow and the Nothing. That's the reason both forces do not distinguish between Good and Evil, they were programmed to attack both.
Yeah, she might find it funny for a moment or so, until the full scale of the situation was made clear to her.

1. Ah okay. That makes more sense. Yeah I caught that Hastur created the Hollow and the Nothing.
2. Yeah, that's what I meant about her.
