Nice pics. Looks like Walkers old friend has lots to do. Who knows he might be a suspect in Emily's murder.

Cool pics, I wonder if his old friend is really a good guy, or it turns out he is going to be the villain of the week. He might also tie into Emily's murder as a suspect, even if it turns out he isn't. We shall see.

Something going on between Hoyt and Gerri, as they used to date.
Looks like Hoyt is someone who everyone loves, but he might be hiding something.

Very interesting. I'm looking forward to meeting Hoyt this week, and more Walker/Stella scenes.

I can't wait to see this episode, and I'll check Jared's live tweets out but after I've seen the episode, as it would be spoilers.

Another great episode.
I was less interested in the case and really loving the progression between Walker and his kids, and I sympathized with Walker's ordeal with trying to drive stick.
The dynamics between everyone continues to be so much fun. It had to be frustrating for Walker to be in the shadow of his friend, and I wish that we could have gotten more info as to why Cordell's mom was so in love with Hoyt when everyone could see that he was trouble. But his mother certainly saw through Hoyt, as did Cordell and Liam.
I'm so glad that August called out Stella on her behavior towards their father.
I love Cordell's and Micki's partnership, very handled well with them working more and more together.

For the first time, we heard Micki called by her full name, Michelle. Of course, Micki usually is short for that for women (just as Mickey is short for Michael for men).
Liked the scene with Walker and Stella. And the bit with them in the car (that Walker had called Stella). Guess he named his daughter after that car.
August had a wee too much to drink. He paid for that the next day. Loved how Walker goes "WAKE UP!" in a loud voice to him
Walker really hoped Hoyt had changed. Of course, said hopes were dashed. Some leopards can't change their spots.

Hoyt was annoyingly charming, so of course he was hiding something, I wanted to learn more about his background with Walker. I loved that he was male stripper HELLO glitter. The actor seems really game in his role and so believable.
ting part was that Hoyt had a hand in it. I liked that Micki was holding down the fort and talking control over arresting Hoyt.
So looks like Cordell and Liams parents are having problems.
I felt bad for Mamma Walker. She wanted to believe Hoyt would change. But he had a bad family, so she was his mother figure growing up.
Loved the scenes with Walker and his children. So funny to see August running behind the car.
I laughed when Walker went wake up to August because he had too much to drink.

This was my favorite episode yet, the character dynamics really continue to be the highlight of the show.
You can tell here that Stella is warming to having her dad around again, but hasn't totally gotten over her resentment of him leaving yet, and that Walker is still feeling awkward around his kids and is walking on eggshells around Stella, but he realized by the end that he still needs to be a parent, and that means having to teach his kids about consequences, even if that means possibly upsetting them.
I am also glad that everyone seems to be giving Walker more of a break, I know that he didn't handle things well when he lost his wife, but he did lose his wife after all and was obviously devastated, and he really is trying to reconnect with his family. (Fans need to be kind to him, I don't get the hate on social media from the pilot on him when I took a look)
So we meet Hoyt, the Old Friend who is now trouble. I really liked how they played things and the actor playing Hoyt was quite good. You could see how charming he could be, enough that you can see why people still hang around him despite him being clearly bad news
I am curious about what his story is with the family, Abline seemed to imply that Hoyt had saved one of her sons before, even beyond her taking him in as a surrogate son/nephew, and that means she just keeps giving him chances no matter how many times he lets her down.
Even then, I do actually buy that he does care about Walker and his family, and he did seem regretful in his last conversation that he let Abline down again, and when Walker and Micki caught him, he seemed almost proud.
I continue to really like the growing partnership between Micki and Walker, and we even got a nice scene between Micki and Bonham bonding over quality stake and finding Hoyt annoying. They are really balancing each other out as partners. I hope that we can see Micki having some more scenes with the rest of his family.
So Bonham and Abline are having some problems it seems. This might have happened when Walker was away for nearly a year. We shall see.
August is really moving up my favorite character list, his drunk dancing was so silly but funny, as was his narration of their return to school. He is also quite insightful, and such a joy to watch. I love that I can actually enjoy a teenager in a show for a change.
Odds and Ends:
*The flashback with Walker and Emily is seventeen years ago, so this is before Stella was born, but when Emily got pregnant. So they were in their early 20s? Of course the actors are too old to play that, but to put it lightly, this would be as if Sam Winchester got married and started a family when he was at Stanford. LOL (but, I'm guessing Jared who is 38 is playing older and Walker is about 40). So He had his first child Stella when he was 23/24?
Grade: A
Favorite Three Moments: 1. Walker and Stella in the car with August running behind them.
2. Walker yelling "Wake up" to August.
3. Geri and Mick bonding near the end of the episode.
