2.04 - The Fate of the Buried Treasure

The Drew Crew now have less than two days left.   

I can see why they don't want to get their loved ones involved.  Would you want to put them on the chopping block with you?  That is why Bess didn't go into the restaurant.  If she told Lisbeth the truth, she feared that Lisbeth get killed.

Liked the road trip that Ace, Carson, and Ryan were on.  Ace was like a parent disciplining two squabbling kids.    Carson and Ryan had a pissing contest as to who was the better father to Nancy.

Poor Nancy is finding out that her relatives on the Hudson side were really not a nice bunch of people. 

Loved how she owned that tour guide.  He was telling a sanitized version of history, and she flat out told the truth.  The tourists liked her version better.

Hey, George, ease up on your poor sister.  You throw her into a job she never asked for, and you're surprised that she's upset.  At least George later apologized. 

Clock is ticking, Drew Crew, the clock is ticking.

I could watch a whole episode of Nancy following tour guides around and lecturing them on how wrong they are about Horseshoe Bay history. The delighted tourists made me laugh. "It's the True Crime Lady! Hey, tell us more about the murder!"

Carson and Ryan bonded the tiniest bit! I like it. Ace and Nancy's Dads is a surprisingly fun dynamic, too.

Also liked Ryan figuring out the music puzzle (although come on, that should have been obvious to Nancy). Nancy didn't even thank him!

Have the writers actually decided whether they prefer Nick/Nancy or Nick/George (and therefore who they'd rather we prefer)? I honestly can't tell.

Yeah, that was great. 

Nancy would make an interesting tour guide:  "Horseshoe Bay was founded by a bunch of horrible people. who lied, cheated, and ever murdered any chance they got.  These people are, by the way, my ancestors on my father's side.  Any questions?"
