Looks interesting this week. Clark helping Lois out at a town hall meeting, but things will be tense when he finds himself pulled in two different directions.

I'm SO glad the writers listened to fans, when the show was announced one thing people were worried about, was a Lana/Lois/Clark triangle, and Lois and Lana feuding. Not the case here, as they are friendly to each other. Morgan Edge seems to have some fixation on Lana and her husband doesn’t care. LOL Kyl I’m glad they’re starting to delve into Jonathan’s side of things. Jordan’s now in a good place while Jonathan’s feeling lost. But he’s still Jon and his caretaker trait is right there for his friend. Clark heard Lois when she was angry and arranged a great date night. Lois clearly let her anger out of her system since she was fine with him flying to Malawi.

Lois telling her father off was interesting. Of course, he has no business telling her, and Clark, how to raise their sons.
Since Morgan Edge couldn't use physical means to shut Lois up, he's now resorting to legal means to muzzle her.
And he has that super powered lady helping him. Of course, what if she turns on him? As I said, has he never read Frankenstein? Unless he has some kind of hold over her.
Clark had that nice romantic dinner, but then an emergency happens. Of course, Lois knew this when she married him.
And I like that Lois and Lana will be friends. Of course, no triangle. Clark's heat belongs to Lois. Still, I wouldn't blame Lana for ditching that husband of hers.

So, caught now up as well.
Lois and Edge - neverending story, and now he uses all means to get her. Nice to see Lois and Lana bonding. And well, Lana's husband, Kyle, is really a cheerman for Edge when he can't even stand up for his wife when Edge is on her.
Jordan and Jonathan with their own adventures was also good. Jordan trying to help yet felt responsible for it and John talking to him. Like brothers should. Nice that John admit to be jealous with all that powers around him.
Sam Lane wasn't really helping here and thankfully Lois called him off. It's their lives, not Sam's. And Sam is hardly thinking about something else.

I always love a series where I can’t see the storylines coming, and Superman and Lois is continuing to deliver. While at the same time managing to give several storylines equal space and time. In the pilot episode, Lana's bank was kind of secretly acquired by Morgan Edge's Galaxy Holdings. Now Kyle openly says Lana's an employee of the Edge empire to Edge. Did I miss something in eps 2 or 3? I honestly might have. Edge is becoming a more complicated bad guy, and I’m excited to see just how far he will go. I have to say, I like him more than Supergirl's version and this recast might be better. I like the fact Lana and Lois are finding common ground. I’m not getting love triangle vibes, and I really, really hope they resist going there with either adults or kids. I hate triangles so much. It bores me. Jonathan is a brother we’d all like to have, but I wonder when, and how, he’s going to explode? I can feel it. Lois and Clark’s relationship continues to be beautifully rounded and grounded, and I’m glad it’s showing arguments and feelings of being let down, and the talking it through. Without being a typical CW drama where the couple breaks up over the stupidest things. And are we getting another bad guy in the shape of General Lane. I feel like it. And where is Lucy Lane? They don't even mention her in relation to the many times Lois talks about her father or growing up. The family dynamic just got even more interesting, and I love it!

Haywire
When the episode started and I saw more football scenes, I was dreading we were in for another whole story or subplot all around that. Luckily it was just part of the teaser. I’m just not interested in all the football scenes. Maybe because I find American football rather boring. So I hope it’s part of the background.
But the football teaser gave us some nice bonding moments between Clark and Jordan. Where Clark reassures him and acts fatherly, which I did enjoy.
Back at home, Sam is still shocked about Jordan, and reminds Lois that he has powers and needs to be watched. Clark comes in and sets Sam straight. But Sam says the government is already on their tale because Superman hasn’t been in the skies of Metropolis. Sam decides to stay the weekend to “pitch-in” at their residence.
More tension between Sam Lane and the Kents. Sam wants Clark to focus on his Superman duties. Sam is worried that Clark moving to Smallville has seen Superman not being in the skies of Metropolis lately.
Sam decides to stay the weekend to pitch in. You know this isn’t going to end we’ll. And it doesn’t with more drama and Lois and Clark fighting with him. Maybe it's all the "evil Sam Lane" stuff from the comics or other versions of him getting in my head. But I feel like this show is slowly turning their Sam Lane from a good guy to a bad guy without ever really showing us why he should have been initially considered a good guy. I hope they will.
This episode introduced X-Kryptonite, a substance which can give non-Kryptonians superpowers for a limited time while they are exposed to it. We learn that Edge has bought up the Shuster Mine in Smallville in order to get his hands on it, with an eye toward building an army.
Now I’m certain someone is going to get these super powers for a limited time. I’m betting on Lana Lang, since her story is getting tied to Edge in this episode, and is building towards something. Comic book fans might remember that Lana DID get powers but that got erased when the comic books rebooted. I can’t remember the arc that well in comics. But I think either her or Lucy Lane got powers and the X-Krypotonite name rings a bell. (LATER – See my odds and ends.).
Last episode, Lana revealed that she wanted something more in life, and felt somewhat trapped in Smallville. She even told her daughter that she would understand why she would not want to "end up like" Lana. That disappointment in her life carried over into this week's episode, too, although by the end of the episode, she seemed to be in a better place. Is this how they’ll set up Lana learning Clark’s secret after twenty five years. We shall see. Hopefully not.
Lana’s husband Kyle could not look anymore like a dumb idiot for ignoring that Edge is obviously up to something and was creepily eying his wife if he told Edge that he was personally setting him and Lana up on a date while Edge. Adding more to the long list of things I hate about Lana’s husband, clearly the show wants us to hate him. Divorce his ass Lana, you can do so much better. Marry Pete like the comics.
On the Lois and Clark front this episode. Lois asked Clark for a favor. Since she can’t speak out against Edge, she asks him to attend the assembly and speak on her behalf. He agrees. Clark doesn’t think it’s the best idea, as last time she tried to dig into Edge she was met face to face with Subjekt-11. But Lois tells him she can handle herself.
Lois and Clark have such a healthy and functioning relationship, its almost bizarre to see them here on a CW show (as we expect a triangle/cheating and all the crap drama they like to pull). Of course the happy couple got into a little fight.
Lois being annoyed with Clark was handled so well. She was honest about why she was upset while also acknowledging that she understands why he was gone about why she feels guilty about it. Clark apologizes and does a nice romantic gesture to show her how much he loves and values her, its just so sweet and wholesome. They have such a nice easy chemistry, I am really glad we got to focus on them more as a couple this week. I loved it.
I also liked Lana and Lois going out for drinks and possibly becoming friends, as long as we don't have any love triangle problems. This show generally feels like one of the more mature DC shows on the CW, and a love triangle is usually the opposite of mature.
This weeks villain was Thaddeus Killgrave who was in the comics. But this version bears little resemblance to his comics version, where he was almost childlike in his height. Instead, we are treated to a bearded and mouthy villain. All in all, a pretty average villain. But that’s okay, I don’t expect myself to love every villain of the week, you’ll get duds. And Edge is interesting me more.
The episode ended on a cliffhanger. Sam telling his men they need to begin a contingency plan with a new protocol, calling it 7734. The episode ends with Leslie and Edge who have uncovered a large amount of X-Kryptonite.
Odds and Ends:
*X-Kryptonite was introduced in the comics, where Supergirl accidentally created X-Kryptonite in a lab, combining chemicals that she hoped would make green Kryptonite less deadly to Kryptonians. The show might be having the substance created by combining Kryptonite with some of the substances common to coal country. All theories and speculation. Oh, and this came from the comics in the 60s, which I haven’t read, I’m sure I heard of it in a more modern version, I’m guessing it got used again.)
*Thaddeus Killgrave appeared in the comics as a weapons designer for Intergang.
*We learn that Morgan Edge is running a company called “Intercorp.” That’ part of the comics which comic book fan will remember as a gang usually working for Morgan Edge in some capacity.
*That’s two episodes in a row without Captain Luthor.
Overall thoughts: An okay episode. Didn’t care for the villain of the week, but loved the Kent’s and the Edge arc is going somewhere.
Grade: B+
Moments:
1. ‘You’re my first thought of the day.’ ‘You’re my last thought at night.’ ‘And I love you.’
2. Jordan tells Lois to go to the barn, where Clark has set up a romantic date for them.
3. Can’t get cocky. It’s a cardinal sin.

I was slightly worried seeing the football game at the start that this episode would focus on that. I'm glad that wasn't the case and I enjoyed the bonding session between Clark and his boys and him encouraging Jordan in the game.
Sam shocked at Jordan having powers didn't surprise me although I understood his concerns.
Clark and Lois set him straight at least but there was still tensions ahead with Sam wanting Clark to focus more on him being Superman than a father when there should be a balance of course.
General Lane's weekend stay didn't end well with the family fighting that went on. I feel like the show will turn evil some point especially with what he done in the end.
So there's a new type of Kryptonite which can give people powers for a limited time like how meteor rocks in Smallville gave many characters powers there and the reason Edge brought the mine was to use that to make a super soldier army like Smallville's Lex did 33.1.
Could Lana be a possible candidate to get powers seeing how her storyline's tied to Edge then?
Her disappointment seemed to carry over this episode from last week although by the end it looked like she was doing better.
Hopefully her getting these powers if she does isn't how she learns Clark is Superman which I'd like a more personal way of that happening then.
Kyle not believing Edge is up to something continues to frustrate me. Man can he get anymore dumber. Lana please divorce him.
Lois and Clark's relationship still fascinates me how healthy it is with who he is and everything including them fighting as well then.
Her being angry at Clark for not being at the meeting was understandable and it was nice that Clark apologised and showed his romantic side and how much he loves Lois which I loved seeing. Tyler and Elizabeth do have nice chemistry onscreen.
Nice seeing Lana and Lois more becoming friends and having a drink with no signs of a love triangle happening which pleases me. I'd love seeing them team up against Edge.
We got to see Metropolis again in the form of Clark and the weeks villain Thaddeus Killgrave fighting another good thing and Superman used Supergirl's hand slap before flying off to Jordan and Johnathan although Killgrave I thought was just an average mouthy villain whereas Edge is more interesting in my opinion.
Johnathan impressed me here with how he tried to help Tag.
And Leslie and Edge uncovering a large amount of X-Kryptonite at the end worries me what'll happen if they refine that and create a super soldier army.
