The storyline about Emily's killer has been concluded. Walker found the real killer, and, by the end of the show, said killer was dead, shot, not by Walker, but by Geri.
Of course, I knew that Walker wasn't going to pull the trigger, and it was nice to James to talk him down. He wanted to, you could tell that (and who could blame him), but he's a cop.
And that killer, that woman, she knew the score. She knew she was either leaving that building in cuffs or a body bag. After Walker stands down, she whips out a hidden gun and tries to shoot him, but Geri shot her dead first.
And Geri feels bad about taking a life. Yes, it was a murderer who had killed her best friend, but still, she feels bad about it. She's not a cop, after all.
And now Walker can finally move forward with his life.
And we're getting another goddamed three week break now The CW didn't take long to go back on their promise of no breaks.

So they got Emily's real killer this time. Hopefully. Seriously, I'll allow one fake-out show, but if something else happens and someone is like "Actually, I'm really the one that killed Emily! Also, Jeri ended up not being involved after-all, so that certainly has set things up for what I figured would happen going forward.
Micki watching over the rest of the Walker clan was a nice way to have Lindsay Morgan interact with the rest of the cast. Liked her moments with Stella and August. Assuming she wasn't actually trying to recruit them into her secret sniper army!
Bonham submits to technology and uses a Google tablet or whatever that was. He strikes me as someone who would probably get in an argument with Alexa, if he ever tried that.
Liam is possibly running for governor now?
Not surprised over the kiss between Walker and Jeri, because I kind of suspected it was happening.
Already going back on break AGAIN until May? I guess the CW is trying to stretch their shows out. Looks like a majority of its line-up is running into summer, so you can't even say we'll be going on summer break this year. Riverdale is on break until June, Superman and Lois is back in mid May, Legends of Tomorrow is a summer show this year. Most of the other shows have a good amount of episodes left, LOL so does this mean the next seasons are starting next year, not fall, otherwise they'll run one season into the next, with little break.

I think that woman was the real killer. And now that she's dead, and the case of Emily's murder is solved, Walker can move on with his life.

Caught up now as well. So, Cordell and James were hunting Emily's killer and with Geri back, there was another worry. Thankfully, they got her and Walker had his temper under control, slightly thanks to James. The two old partners were back on business whereas family Walker busied themselves with Micki as their guard. So, which Walker will go for governor? Liam? I thought he liked his job. Never mind, so another three weeks break? Seriously?

Yeah, Liam is thinking of running for Governor. Be interesting to see where that goes.

These long breaks are understandable but really annoying. They want to draw their shows out while they are still playing catch up and always want things to air, but I worry that they could lose viewership if they lose traction with viewers or people will just have trouble remembering when shows are on or not. Me included being non American. I have to rely on you guys telling me so I know when to download it.
This was a good episode. It seems like the wrap up for Emily's killer was pretty easy after all of this, but I am guessing this could lead to them trying to bring down the whole gang as a bigger arc with them as reoccurring enemies.
They got the trigger woman, which finally gives Walker some closure, but she is just one small cog in a bigger machine, even if Emily was really just caught in the crossfire, which I do actually like.
Its not some bigger mystery having to do with Emily herself being targeted because of Walker or some thing in her past or part of some greater conspiracy that deliberately killed her or it was some friend of there's, she was just in the wrong place at the wrong time, which seems a bit more realistic.
Is this the end of Emily ghost as well?
As rushed as this was, I am glad that this wasn't drawn out anymore, for now at least. It also led to Walker finally talking it out with James, which was all well done and acted.
Its really quite sad, they were once really close but they were both so heartbroken and guilty that they misunderstood each other and it badly hurt their relationship. Walker associated him with Emily's death, not because he blamed him but just because he was around and everything from that part of his life hurt him, that's why he left to go undercover, while James felt so guilty about everything that he assumed Walker avoided him because he blamed himself for not getting the right guy and put that onto Walker.
Having Micki watching after the family was a nice way to get her to interact with the rest of the cast.

Emily's death has consumed Walker for months now. At least with her killer now dead, he does have some peace.
I'm sure he'll still want to bring down the rest of that group, so no one else has to go through what he did.

I think bringing down the rest of the gang is the story arc in the second half of season 1.
I do wonder if Emily's ghost is now gone, I think so. Walker and Gri might hook up, we'll see. Might be still early for him as he i mourning Emily, but she has been gone for a year and a half now, but who knows.

I got the feeling that Walker is finally able to move on with his life. Yes, the gang is still out there, but Emily's killer isn't. That was a real sticking point for him.

Walker and Geri? I don't know what to think about it. I'd say it's too soon after Emily's death but no my decision.

Most people would probably say to wait till season 2 before Walker dates anyone again but as Tim said it's been a year and a half since Emily passed and not a few months then so technically Jared could have a love interest the latter half of season 1.

I agree to waiting until season 2. But since enough time has passed, maybe it might happen.
Maybe Geri deep down has had unresolved feelings for walker for a long time, but Emily was her best friend, so she never acted on it when they were younger.

Sometimes grief brings people together. This could be the case here, and no doubt episodes will deal with it.

Yeah, I do think so, it sure can bring people together. I'm imagining Geri's story has only just begun with more into her backstory. I won't be surprised, she becomes a regular in season 2, as she's recurring atm.
