Another fun romp this time. Back to 1955 and a fast food joint. Behrad really seemed to enjoy it, didn't he. Making those burgers.
And he and Zari fought over that totem, until the other Zari, inside it, settled the matter (by splitting it in two).
And when that giant moth thing was flying around, notice it was doing the Godzilla roar! Clearly, that was a tribute to those movies.
Those two brothers that were referred two were the McDonald brothers, who founded a franchise that thrives to this very day (although more people associated Ray Kroc with McDonald's, as he took it national).
Meanwhile, Sara and Gary are stranded on an alien world, and run into Amelia Earhart (ST: Voyager did an "Amelia as abducted by aliens" episode, twenty-five years ago, BTW). Of course, Sara knew that she couldn't return Amelia to Earth, history says she was lost in 1937. However, the problem was resolved when it turned out that "Amelia" was just an alien in disguise, trying to trick Sara into taking it off the planet.
I enjoyed this one.

Behrad is so funny. I also enjoyed Zari being so over him being philosophical about a burger and then using their power to assemble the burgers. Spooner getting in Ava’s face makes me like her even more. Ava needs to be reminded of what she and the team are demanding of her. The telepathic connection looks like it seriously hurts. No surprise that they bonded at the end but at least Ava apologized. The planet they crashed on gave me major Battlestar Galactica flashbacks. Hey it’s Amelia Earhart! LOL the hair does her no favors, but then she’s an alien so the hair makes sense. The secret sauce looks like Thousand Island dressing. I take it someone on the writing team isn’t a fan of that? I knew it would end up being Big Belly Burger. Nicely done show. OG Zari! Getting annoyed and arranging for a second totem. Love her always. Let Zari plan the wedding Sara. Great episode. Grade: A

Well, Legends is filmed in the same city that BG was
Good thing it was an alien, because Sara knew that returning her to 1937 was not an option.

Perhaps someone on the shows a Trekkie and saw the Voyager episode where Amelia was an alien also and used that as inspiration here then?

Another fun episode set in 1955 when fast food became a thing.
Behrad obviously likes burgers it seems even flipping them at the burger joint although Zari doesn't actually.
Miss Cruz is now part of the team.
What's up with the dog?
Is the mascot the meat eating alien?
Why do I feel like something will happen to the totem concerning Behrad and Zari fighting over it which happens with OG Zari splitting it in two then.
Were the two brothers the burger manager referred to the Mc Donald brothers perhaps?
It figures the burger manager's wife kept the alien captive to help her husbands business.
Oh that alien made puke nearly the way it looked then.
So Amelia isn't human but an alien disguised as a human who wanted Sara and Gary to take her off the plane with them?
Of course Sara couldn't alter the timeline and take her with then because Amelia disappeared in 1937.

Which "Amelia" being an alien got her out of.
Had it really been Amelia, I suppose she could have been brought back to the present. I don't think they would have to worry about Amelia telling people who she is. Who'd believe her, considering that she hasn't aged in 84 years!

That was a fun episode, not only did we get everyone in cute 50s attire (Behrad in particular was looking great) but the plot of the week led to a lot of cool action and character dynamics, some gross stuff, some funny stuff, and a battle with evil alien Mothra who secretes tasty but evil secret sauce.
You can tell the show is excited about getting to really dig into alien tropes and plots, with alien abductions, creepy cocoons, man eating monsters, all that good stuff.
They are also giving us a pretty good mixture of different kinds of aliens, and the effects continue to have really stepped it up.
While we haven't seen a whole lot of it yet, I also like that they are still using magic with the aliens, like Constantine using magic to get the alien sludge out of the mascot.
And of course they accidently helped invent Big Belly Burgers, time travel is wacky like that.

Great Episode!! I think that iconic Buffy Fast Food episode has some competition LOL!! The Legends ending up in the 1950's was an entertaining one. Poor Ava. She was so desperate to capture the alien to find Sara. At least she and Spooner have come to a mutual understanding. Speaking of Sara, she and Gary continue to be Lost In Space, meeting Amelia Earhart. Sara and Gary make an interesting team. I hope we learn more about Gary's background. If I had more time, I would go back and watch every one of his episodes, with this new perspective that he is an alien. OG Zari sighting! She split the totem in half! Now Behrad and 2.0 Zari both have their own. Am I an awful person because I want 2.0 in the totem, and OG Zari back in the real world. Behrad and his Burger Buddies phase was hilarious! While I felt bad for the owner of the Big Bang Burgers being eaten, his wife TOTALLY had it coming. I take people being eaten alive is going to be a big recurring theme this season LOL!! Grade: A

They even gave "Mothra" the Godzilla roar.

That scene where the Mascot spooled out the alien sauce reminded me of the famous Exorcist scene I'd heard about a lot where Regan vomit projectiled herself of course which grossed me out.
