I can't believe this is the end of the season! One more episode after this. We're already nearly got our first season in the can. Caught the end of Stargirl before Superman & Lois, got bored, not my show.
Loved Lois going into FULL Mom mode, asking if Sara’s parents are going to be there because they’re getting serious.
Let John hang out with John. LOL
Preach Jon! "You're making too much sense" lol
"Take your brother with you" Making your son chaperone your other son on his date is... a choice, Lois.
I love how much Dad and Mom Clark and Lois are. It makes them feel so normal. This show really balances the action with family moments.
I love Chrissy so much. So glad she is a regular in S2.
OMG I SARAH AND JORDAN ARE SO CUTE
The chemistry with the entire cast has been great. Really good casting job all around.
"It kinda feels like she's avoiding me lately"
Clark's good at this friend stuff. I love Lana and Clark.
The thought of Edge absorbing solar energy for three weeks STRAIGHT is disturbing
I'm really sad about this plot where Chrissy may have to sell the Gazette! It's such a real thing for small towns.
Seeing Jon get invited to that party shouldn't have made me so happy but it did. The poor boy needs to have a good time for a change. Things haven't been easy for him lately.
Yay, maybe people will finally be nice to Kyle.
Leslie Larr looking at Edge like he’s her Saviour.
Oh, lady, you shouldn't have said that to Lois.
Lois’ face when that woman says she has no idea what it’s like to lose a child, my heart is breaking.
Maggie Q is...Joan Wick
Damn the Langs really are moving.
Sarah straight up roasting her parents.
Jon, it's a trap. RUN!
“Telling me after doesn’t help!” LOL
WHAT, the Eradicator can now convert people into Kryptonians at will
Lois‘s superpower is being the only person in Metropolis with a brain cell.
That guy in his office didn't duck or anything. LOL
THIS GIRL MOVED FROM CENTRAL CITY?! WHO IS SHE??
Relocated to Smallville from Central after her father was put in prison?
Aww, Sarah going straight for Jordan.
Did he kidnap Jordan to make him his father? So crazy weird.
EWWWW Edge put his dad in Jordan. Gross.
God damn, it’s gonna be intense next week.

The Lang-Cushings cannot move!
Rho was in the sun for three weeks, geez! Does he resurrect Kryptonians by touch? That’s not good! Damn it to hell! Now we’re back to Kryptonians inhabiting humans!
What’s happening to Smallville?! Stop destroying this town!
Teagan moved from Central City! What?
Seeing Lois in the same position get alternate self was in Irons’ Earth was horrifying!!
Don’t break up Jordan and Sarah!
NOOOOOO! Jordan’s been possessed by Zeta-Rho! DAMN IT!

Tar-Ro has become a gestalt for all the Kryptonian minds. And he can distribute those minds at will, like we saw in the attack on Metropolis. Hopefully, those minds can be removed from the humans in question, like they were in Smallville.
Lois doing the broadcast during the attack was well done. Seemed history was going to repeat itself, but our Lois was saved.
And Tar-Ro kidnaps Jordan and puts his father's mind in him. Was that the plan all along, or was that Plan B when the attack on Metropolis went south? This also gives Tar-Ro a hostage as leverage against Clark.
Smallville is dying, because of what happened. Lois hopes to save it, but even Chrissy is talking about selling her paper.
And the residents want the DEO to pack up and leave, even through the danger is not yet over.
Kyle has gotten a job offer in another town. He and Lana are preparing to move, but Sarah doesn't want to leave.
That girl that Jon likes, Tegan, said that she and her mom moved from Central City, when her dad was put in prison. Was her dad someone the Flash locked up?
Next week, the season finale.

1x14 The Eradicator
And we’re back. I did get a kick out of the episode having a three week time jump from last episode, even though in real time it went on break due to the Olympics.
Poor Smallville is in bad shape, businesses are shutting down, including Lois’ boss Chrissy at the paper who is considering selling.
I love Lana and Clark's friendship. Definitely the most underrated of this whole season. Hopefully next season will feature more bestie moments, and I don’t think Lana will end up leaving, maybe Kyle does. I just don’t see it.
I really appreciate how this show really highlights life's hardships that reflect the real world with how tiny Smallville has been devastated by the changing times.
So Lana and the family are really considering moving. But I'm thinking Lana will stay, but maybe Kyle will take the job, leading to their separation. But Kyle has really grown this season, and I like him more now than I did when we started. I don’t know why, I can see them setting up S2 with Lana running for Mayor. Clark saying that now that Martha is gone, that Lana is the heart of this town, I just have this feeling to rebuild the town following what Edge did to it, it feels like they might head into that direction. I also feel like Lana might find out the secret in the finale next week, and if so, finally.
The Eradicator is terrifying. He is basically a sentient Kryptonian purgatory in the comics, so I am glad that the show is using that character approach.
The party was eye rolling, but at least it was treated as a normal teen hangout, and not an over the top CW party LOL, which they are known for. It did provide some lovely scenes with Jon and Jordan.
So that girl who keeps annoying Jon, reveals her her dad is possibly a known criminal from Central City (maybe even a meta…. Looks like that is a plot line for S2, not too interested in it, if it means crossing over with the Flash in central city. I don’t want them to crossover. I’m over the crossover stuff after the Crisis. Make it rest. I’ll making an exception with Supergirl/Kara or Lex Luthor, as they are important to Superman’s mythology, but no to other DC shows.
Edge and Leslie attack Metropolis. So the Eradicator can now convert people into Kryptonians at will
The best part was when Lois was in her zone. THIS IS LOIS LANE REPORTING LIVE FROM METROPOLIS!" YESSSS! FINALLY!
I screamed when I saw Lois in the same position her alternate self was in Irons’ Earth was horrifying!! I knew she’d be okay, but I loved how all the actors made it seem so real that I still freaked out. Especially Jon and Jordan watching it on the television. I kinda love how the show does all these parallels. So very grateful Steel was there to save the day tho!
Not impressed with the boys ignoring the adults to have fun just for Jordan to get kidnapped! I get the show needed a reason to put them in harms way, and get Sam to pick them up so Edge could kidnap Jordan, but still they could have just done it another way. But, I got to admit, I was terrified when Edge knocked their car off the road, and Sam Lane told Jon to grab the gun he had to shoot Edge with Kryptonite bullets.
I’m worried about Sam Lane, he looked pretty injured in the car accident caused by Edge, but I don’t think they’d kill him yet. We shall see next week.
Felt really bad for both Lois and Clark, Bitsie and Tyler keep being awesome at delivering emotional scenes, especially when it's between the both of them. Those are what I love, that and any with the Kents.
Also felt bad for Jon, his brother is gone, he’s hurt bad, and is powerless to help. But, I feel like they are setting him up to train with Irons, and find other ways to help and defend himself without powers himself.
So Clark's son has been possessed by his brother's father LOL. I was actually surprised that it was Zeta Rho. I was expecting Zod again. I am looking forward to this arc being over, love the family moments, but hoping Edge and the Zeta Rho arc is done and dusted in next weeks finale, and we move onto something else like rebuilding Smallville in S2 after the mess Edge caused.
I feel like next week they'll get Superman to kill his own son to stop Zeta Rho, and that is what they want to do to break him.
So next week is the S1 finale. What a ride it has been. Looking forward to it.
Odds and Ends: *Wickham is the family name of the romantic deceiver slime in Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice.
Overall thoughts: The acting was so great this week, in so many scenes, I was left getting emotional, screaming and being shocked. It did set-up the finale well, even if a few parts I didn't care for.
Moments: 1. Lois crying that Jordan was taken by Edge with Clark comforting her, got me teary eyed. Shows how much the actors bring their A-game. 2. "It kinda feels like she's avoiding me lately" – Love Clark and Lana’s friendship and poking fun at each other. 3. Preach Jon! "You're making too much sense"

Yeah, I hope they end the Edge thing with the season. Start fresh with a new storyline for S2.

Woohoo, the long wait was worth it. Definitely!! Edge is still carrying out his plan but in a bigger city now, Metropolis and it got Lois back on business. It was downright scary when the story seemed to repeat itself with her being killed, yet it was good to have Steel on their side now. Bless him! Ah, Jordan and Sarah are such a cute couple and no, I don't want the Cushings to leave. There is hope in Smallville, even for them. Hope that Chrissy doesn't sell the newspaper. Would be bad. The accident with General Lane, Sarah, Jonathan and Jordan was hard and that Edge grabbed Jordan, letting him say 'I love you' to Sarah'. So sweet, yet his family felt totally helpless. That's really bad. So, Daddy of Tar-Ro is now in Jordan. I don't like this! Can't wait for next week!!!

Nice to see Lois reporting again. She was doing it what was basically a war zone. Pretty brave.
I wonder what will happen to the Daily Planet now, since "Morgan Edge" was an imposter. Will all the changes he made be null and void.

Loved seeing Lois back in her element reporting. I wonder if the paper in Smallville can be saved, once Edge is gone, will the Daily Planet rehire Lois back and Chrissy join. Who knows, I feel like the town of Smallville being saved and entering a new era is what S2 will be about.
As others have said, I feel like Lana will run for Mayor, as they already teased how horrible the old one is. It might be what convinces Lana to stay and not move, but to rebuild Smallville.
I liked the action scenes and I liked Irons fighting leslie, eradicator has practically become a kryptonian god although I hope they reveal he has limits, I don't want an omnipotent being showing up.
And I like the twist of tals dad taking over jordan, I thought he would take over tal but not this move, ive seen stuff like this happen before but this is a trope I like.
I cant wait for the finale and i cant say i cant believe we are here already, I can't believe this season has just dragged with hiatus after hiatus after hiatus. Hoping now with filming back to normal, I'll give a pass for this past televison season dealing with COVID and delays. But next year, no excuses back to business as ususal, and the finale ending in May.
