Twenty years ago Smallville premiered on the CW network. Here's Tom Welling and Michael Rosenbaum talking about working on the show.

Has it really been twenty years.

And there wasn't even an Arrowverse when Smallville started.

[Katie]

Time really flies, shocked it's twenty years. Supernatural will turn 20 in four years' time, and X-Files turns 30 in two years.

Great interview. I really enjoyed it.

[Tim]

I know, right. 

This show predated the CW itself.

[Melinda Halliwell]

I enjoyed the interview also and hearing the stories Tom and Michael told. Of course some of them I'd heard before but it was nice hearing from former cast members and guest stars then.

I really enjoyed the interviews and reflection. I wonder if that animated series will go ahead, with continuing the show that way.

It was nice. It's so fun to see all these 20-year celebrations much like Buffy, Angel and Sabrina got a few years back.

[Tim]

Nice that these shows are still remembered so well.  Even after the passage of decades.

Yeah, that is true, so good to see. I saw the complete series got released on Blu Ray in time for the anniversary, nice that they did that to celebrate.

Who here would buy the blu-ray DVD box set? I don't have blu-ray myself so that's out of the question for me.

[Trinity]

I have a Blu Ray player. But limit the shows I buy full sets for. So far only X Files and Supernatural I bought the whole series on Blu Ray as haven't had them. Others have been a mix of DVD and Blu Ray for other shows. Charmed I might consider just S1-3 on Blu Ray single seasons as have no plans to get the rest.

I might get Smallville when it's on sale and use some gift cards I haven't used yet on it. We'll see.

I'm sure many of us will get it.  Or are thinking about  it.

True though like Trinity said there maybe certain seasons of Smallville people enjoyed more than others and so may only get those instead of the entire box set of course.

I haven't got seasons 1-5 but 6-10 because Oliver was in them and I liked his character obviously though my season 6 and 9 DVD box sets are becoming a little worse for wear the number of times playing them which may need replacing future wise that I'll have to see what deals are out there perhaps the same as OG Charmed where I have seasons 1-4 and 6 on DVD but not 5 or 8 and the second half of season 7 in MP4 format naturally.

Still would be interesting hearing in 10 years what former stars think of the series on the 30th anniversary and whether their opinions have changed or are the same then.
