3.05 The Vision of the Birchwood Prisoner

So the second frozen heart killer is not human.  Rather it's some monster that is now stalking Horseshoe Bay.  Nancy got this info with the help of Temperance.   They  got this info via a mind meld with the human killer.  And, as a result, the human killer had a stroke.  While Nancy didn't like that part, had the stroke not happened, he was going to walk.  Guess Nancy can take comfort that a killer will not be let out back onto the streets to kill again.

So now the Drew Crew will have to go monster hunting.  Sounds like fun!

So Temperance can read the minds of animals.  Interesting.

Loved the bit with Bess trying to keep that cop busy. 

Lot of family drama going on as well, as George confront her birth father (and isn't be played by the same actor who played Kevin Tran on SPN).  Of course, she called him out for abandoning her and her mother when they needed him.  Can't blame her.   Heck, George is a better parent (to her three younger sisters) that her actual parents are.

And Ace had drama of his own.  As a result of what happened, his father threw him out of the house.  Ouch!  Luckily for Ace, Nick and George will let him crash with them until he can raise the money to get his own place.

Bess's distraction duty was hilarious.

Temperance felt like has cast some kind of spell, maybe from that scene with the town map, that is causing strife amongst the gang. M

I thought Ace's dad was a decent guy but now I'm not so sure anymore. Hiding the knowledge of his affair and child and forcing Ace to keep that secret from his mother is bad. And then kicking him out for not wanting any part of the lies?

He's punishing his son for his own mistakes and not sacking up and telling his wife the truth. That was unexpected.


The Birth father I'm sure is played by the actor who played Kevin from SPN.

I agree.  All Ace did was call his old man out on the lies.  And, for that, he gets thrown out into the streets.

Ace is lucky he has friend (Nick and George) willing to take him in.
