Well, about the download from The Man who lived at the Ritz, I'll make a decision on the weekend. For that price it's impossible not to buy/download it, even though I haven't received an answer to my mails yet.
Regarding another movie "Shakedown on the Sunset Strip" (from 1988) I could buy the DVD via Amazon Germany. So, for both I'd pay around 40 Euros. *sighs*

Thanks, I'll let you know if it works. The download maybe. The DVD is easier to get. Part 4: Maxi starts the old magazine with great ideas but well, not that professional, yet her uncle is sabotaging her in every way. But with old friends of her Dad and her first ex-husband, she gets B&B to a success. Cutter takes drastic measures to hire a guy who puts cocaine into Justin's apartment, right where the police can find it. He spents a night in jail and more before his mother and sister bail him out. The family comes closer together again. At Maxi's success party, her older brother Toby meets India and well, we've got another pair together. Still, Cutter finds someone who's interested in buying Amberville Publications but Lily refuses at any time, yet he tries his best to convince her. The two couples even go to Canada again where then Lily wants to see where Zachary died - and she finds the necklace by accident and makes the right conclusions. At their cabin, she confronts Cutter but he still doesn't tell her. But Lily tells him to back off her family but back in New York, Cutter tries it over Justin again but he already knew the truth and tells him that Zachary is the only father he knows. Cutter hits him on the head before leaving. Lily then brings Maxi to her father's office and tells her that she now owns it- and that the name Cutter Amberville is banned from saying or mentioning. After Justin's accident, she also calls the police to tell them that Cutter killed his brother. And Maxi reconsiles with Rocco and asks him to marry her again. All before that, DT lets Maxi borrow some money - and she lives the whole time in the Trump Tower. _________________________ Well, it's not bad and as said before, I like it when Perry King also plays the bad guys but still with a touch of liking. Reading the reviews on IMDB, most there agree that the character Cutter was the best - with the same description I gave. lol Tomorrow then a movie from 1988. In German. Haven't found the English version.

Well, tonight there was Perfect People from 1988. Cast: Lauren Hutton - Barbara Laxton Perry King - Ken Laxton Priscilla Barnes - Amy Cheryl Pollak - Irene David Leisure - Derek Rob Estes - Monty June Lockhart - Esther Karen Valentine - Margo and many more (even Jennifer 'Grams' Rhodes) Story: To sum it up: It's about the beauty madness in the 1980ies. From the start: Ken and Barbara are a happy couple, being married for nearly 20 years and when their youngest daughter Irene leaves for college, they decide they wanna look different, feel different. They start with a gym and well, exercising is not the only way. It goes on with dieting, even for the Christmas cookies what shocked the whole family. Never mind, as a last resort, Ken and Barbara go to the plastic surgery and voila, then they look 'normal' again (as in reality). All these things have the effect that the couple doesn't talk to each other anymore, only about their looks. Ken goes for help to Margo, a colleague at work but Barbara sees more into it which isn't true. However, when their daughter Irene comes for the holidays with her new boyfriend Monty, things go up badly. He is interested in Barbara, and a bit later, the couple fights. Barbara flees in her car and Ken follows in his, yet he has an accident and lands in the hospital. His wife was angry, yet seeing him like this, she regrets her decision and wants all back to what it was. Even Ken doesn't want to have a surgery for jaw, chin etc. Still, the way they look now, they enjoy a second honeymoon in Mexico. Thoughts: As said before, beauty madness. The couple's names strongly reminds of Ken and Barbie, the dolls. Might be the intention. Who knows. Some pictures: That was it. Though not in the right order but well. Tomorrow then a year further: 1989. After my biking tour.

Now I've seen Roxanne: The Prize Pulitzer from 1989. Cast: Perry King - Herbert 'Peter' Pulitzer Chynna Phillips - Roxanne Pulitzer Courtney Cox - Jaquie Kimberly Betsy Russell - Liza Pulitzer Sondra Blake - Roxanne's mother Julie Caitlin Brown - Lorraine Odasso Amy Adams - Susie and many more Story: Like out of a fairy tale, young and innocent Roxanne Ulrich gets to know the wealthy Herbert Pulitzer. He's completely smitten over and wants to marry her after a few meetings but she refuses at first. Herbert tells her that he doesn't want to have more children since he already has three but Roxanne can convince him that after her pregnancy, all will be back to normal. It works, and she gets pregnant with twins, yet her husband hires a nanny despite her protests after the birth. The start of the downhill of their marriage which wouldn't have worked anyway since they come from too different backgrounds. Herbert even wants a menage a trois but Roxanne can manage this with her friend Jaquie. Still, she doesn't play by the rules and is forced out. In a trial, Roxanne just wants her children back but even here, Herbert wins. In the end, they might reconcile but it doesn't happen because Herbert just wants the 20 year old Roxanne back, yet she has grown up meanwhile. It's based on a book by Roxanne Pulitzer, so there's only one side of the story. Well, Perry King's voice was deeper than usual and he had more gray hair. Palm Beach really seems like a closed area if you look at this movie. Only for the rich people. Some pictures: So, that's it. And tomorrow we'll go on with the year: 1990. And by accident, I've found another movie called "Another Pretty Face" from 2002. Phew, the list grows and grows. lol

Yep, an early role obviously.
And today I've seen Danielle Steel's Kaleidoscope from 1990, in German. Cast: Jaclyn Smith - Hilary Walker Perry King - John Chapman Patricia Kalember - Alexandra Claudia Christian - Meagan Donald Moffat - Arthur Patterson Terry O'Quinn - Henry Robert Bidaman - Luke and many more Story: A wealthy man, Arthur Patterson, wants to be clean with his past and hires a private detective, John Chapman, to find three sisters for him who were separated after their parents' death. At first, they were living with their aunt and uncle but Arthur back then found two adopting families for the younger sisters. Hilary had to stay with them until she was old enough to break out. And Hilary is the first one John finds, right in New York. He has some trouble to break her hard exterior but well, he manages and slowly they become a couple. Secondly, he finds Alexandra in the South where she's the wife of a senator, Henry, but he treats her more like a servant and they have two kids. At least, he finds Meagan in San Francisco where she works as a doctor but she and her husband Luke have no luck with getting kids of their own. All three come together at Arthur's house in Connecticut where he reveals them the truth, about him dying and more, yet Hilary still holds the grudge from before and that she knows that Meagan is in reality his child and not her father's. But Arthur didn't know that. John tries to help and as a lawyer himself before becoming a P.I. (*grins*), he understands and talks to Hilary and as said, they become a couple. When Arthur dies, Meagan is with him and tells then her sisters about the funeral. Alexandra comes quickly with her two daughters but Hilary doesn't know yet. In the end, she comes along with John. And they stay together. Note: Claudia Christian and Perry King know each other from "Riptide" (Episode 2.01) and the background of the P.I. strongly reminded me of Cody Allen. lol Some pictures:
EDIT: Found one more I think these are more than enough pictures. Tomorrow then the long start with 1993 - and the comedy series "Almost home". Let's see how many episodes I'll look though.

Oops, minor mistake of mine. There's still a movie from 1991 in between. Overseen it. But after that comes the long year 1993!
