I've never seen it before either but I found out there's a German title existing. Now I'm just looking for a better quality. Never mind, a piece of it is available on Youtube.

Oh my, today a meanwhile classic: Class of 1984 from 1982. Cast: Perry King - Andrew Norris Merrie Lynn Ross - Diane Norris Timothy van Patten - Peter Stegman Roddy McDowall - Terry Corrigan Michael (J) Fox - Arthur Al Waxman - Detective Stewiski and many more Story: Andy Norris, music, comes to a new school, the Lincoln High, where a gang rules and all students have to go to a metallic door. The gang is ruled by Stegman, and some teachers carry guns like Terry Corrigan, biology. The two teachers befriend slowly and soon Andy realizes he's too idealist and all play with him, especially Stegman who plays piano very well but takes drugs and more. The gang fires up Norris' car and kills all Corrigan's animals at school. This gives him the last straw and he uses a gun to teach the students a lesson for life. It works well but he goes after them at night and ends up dead. Meanwhile, Stegman starts his personal vendetta against Norris - with raping his pregnant wife and taking her hostage. Now Andy is on the edge and goes after the gang one by one, killing them - even Stegman, on the showdown on the roof. Some pics again: I'll stop again because there are mass of pictures out there. By the way, I do remember Timothy van Patten from a series but I can't remember which. I clearly saw this face before - or later again. This was filmed in Canada, by the way. Can't say yet what movie I watch later today/tomorrow. Going to buy this one movie still.

Think I saw this one. Mind you, it was decades ago, and my memories are foggy.

The movie came out when I started going to school (1983), yet it was kind of scary. Never mind, found the series with Timothy van Patten - and Lee van Cleef, via IMDB. Was called "The Master" and only lasted a season, I think. The German title for this I have forgotten. lol

Michael J Fox looks so young there. This of course was before his tv role in Family Ties and Back To The Future then.

Indeed, and he was billed as Michael Fox there. That's why I put the J in brackets.
I couldn't settle for a movie but decided for a pilot of short lived series (pilot + four episodes) named The Quest from 1982 as well. Cast: Perry King - Dan Underwood Noah Berry Jr. - Arthur Henley Ray Vitte - Cody Johnson Karen Austin - Carrie Welby John Rhys-Davies - Sir Edward and many more Story: The sovereign state of Glendorra has a problem. It seems that through an old agreement with France, unless there's a monarch, the country would revert to France. And the king has no heirs. So, they found four Americans who are descendants of one of the former rulers. So they are sent out on a "Quest" to show if they have the qualities necessary to be a ruler. It won't be easy cause they go forth with no idea what to do, and their information is given to them through poems which they find hard to transcribe. (from IMDB taken) I'd say Glendora reminded strongly of Monaco, because of this agreement with France mentioned and well, they were in Europe, obviously. Strangely enough, as Dan Underwood, Perry King could fly a helicopter - and of course ride a horse. Too bad I could only find the pilot on Youtube, I'd love to have seen more episodes. Or at least all of them. And as it was, the ladies were falling for Mr. Underwood. Some pics again: Well, I'll go on to find more episodes here. If not, then well. Let's see what I can watch tomorrow. If I find more movies. Got now 21. EDIT: Corrected the aired episodes!

This fictional country clearly is based on Monaco.
John Rhys-Davies has been in a LOT of shows and movies.

Yeah to both. I got to know him in "Sliders" first, and this was Perry King's contact to Stephen J. Cannell for later with Riptide. And to my luck I already found two more movies with him which I can only get from truetvmovies.net but this will happen next month, I guess.

I knew John Rhys-Davies from Sliders as Professor Arturo as well as being in Indiana Jones before playing Gimli in LOTR.
Your right that he's got around a fair bit on films and tv.

John Rhys-Davies has been acting since the 1970's. He's getting close to being in the business 50 years.

Well, today I watched the movie The Choirboys from 1977 in German! Cast: Charles Durning - Spermwhale Whalen Louis Gossett, Jr. - Calvin Motts Perry King - Baxter Slate Clyde Kusatsu - Francis Tanaguchi Stephen Macht - Spencer van Mott Tim McIntire - Roscoe Rules Randy Quaid - Dean Proust Chuck Sacci - 'Father' Sartino Don Stroud - Sam Lyles James Woods - Harold Bloomguard and many more Story: A disparate group of Metro Los Angeles police officers - the rank and file - bond over their commonality of being brothers in blue despite their differences. The other thing they all seem to need is a venue to blow off some steam together, what they collectively call "choir practice": after hours piss ups, usually in public, where they again can relieve the pressures of the work day. Despite their brotherhood, not all their lives they feel they can share with each other in the overwhelming sense of what it means to be a real man in this environment. A few weeks in their lives and a few choir practices later are shown, when three of the younger officers, Baxter, Lyles and Bloomguard - the latter two who served together in Vietnam - are temporarily assigned to night duty in Vice under the leadership of Sgt. Scuzzi, who they always assumed was the janitor; as young Proust tries to mitigate the negative effects of his unabashedly blowhard, redneck and bigoted partner, Roscoe out on the street; and as "Spermwhale" Whalen - so nicknamed for being thirty pounds overweight - inches ever closer to retirement and a twenty year pension, it never a certainty he will make it in his continual clashes with the upper brass, especially Lt. Grimsley. (taken from IMDB) Well, from the title I expected it differently, yet the story was interesting and there were some laughs in it. The "choir practice" after serving helps to deal with the stuff and secrets each one of them has. The group, however, is shaken up as Baxter killed himself after being found out to like being hurt by a hooker. Two of his cop friends, Lyles and Bloomguard, know about it, at least, Lyles and this brings them over the edge. Yet at the end, all got their respective job back. Some pics: Well, for Perry King it was a meeting again with James Woods (from Foster & Laurie, 1975) and the first one with Don Stroud (later together in Search and Destroy, 1979). Now there will be a break here. Tomorrow I start a series. The movies will be a in-between for the time being. Hope you agree with me here.
