3.13 The Ransom of the Forsaken Soul

The season finale.  What?  Already!?  I guess Nancy is ending her season early to make room for another show, no doubt which will start after the Olympics ar over. 

Kind of knew that most of the episode was happening in Nancy's head.  No way would they have just killed Ryan Hudson and Ace like that. 

Temperance is finally defeated and the town is saved.  However, it comes at a cost.  She put a curse on Nancy and Ace, should they ever get together romantically, Ace will die within a months time.  And Nancy can't even tell him the truth.

Is Temperance really gone?  That moth flying out of her mouth, as her body dies, must mean something.

So, George is going to give Law School a try.

Kind of knew that Nick was sticking around.

Nancy has opened her own investigation firm, in Temperance's old HQ.

I'm gonna miss this show.

WHAT?? Already. Damn. S1 and S2 were 18 episodes. Guess something else is taking it's place. I have no idea what. Probably something I don't watch.

I actually loved the finale. Yes the pacing was off, but given the circumstances these writers had to go through I'd imagine shortened episode order because of covid, cant get some actors back because of existing projects, paused production etc, or too many slots needed for other shows. I think they handled everything as good as they could.

If this was any other showrunners on the CW especially, I would have expected a damn dumpster fire. But ND is strong and really delievers.

I also understand the whole frustration about keeping Nancy and Ace apart again. But, I kind of like this supernatural element to it. Now these are real life or death stakes towards it and not "oh Ace is with someone or Im afraid he/she doesnt like me like that". This is Temperance wanting to.

Also, you can see that Ace didnt believe her after their last scene. He can tell something is up.

I just found out what it is, Season Four of the Charmed Reboot.   It's scheduled to start on March 11th, taking over Nancy Drew's time slot (once the Olympics are out of the way). 

I also understand the whole frustration about keeping Nancy and Ace apart again. But, I kind of like this supernatural element to it. Now these are real life or death stakes towards it and not "oh Ace is with someone or I'm afraid he/she doesn't like me like that".

Yeah, Ace will die if they get together romantically.  Guess Nancy will be looking for a way to remove the curse, next season.
